  1. I wouldn't have either, but he's here now so we should support him rather then saying bad stuff about him... Take a look at his Liverpool days. Their football was based on Torres, and he was bombarded with balls by Gerrard and Alonso. Once Torres started playing bad and Alonso left things started bad for Liverpool.
  2. Cristiano Ronaldo + 20millions and they can take Essien...
  3. Turnbull is good...for our players to practice shooting on training sessions
  4. But also note that after a few goals like that from Torres he would get a part of his confidence back and would get balls to do stuff he did a few years ago. Like it or not, he's OUR player now, and we better make use of him and his qualities, and that doesn't involve power play Drogba plays. He didn't recover enough from his injury, and Liverpool rushed him back. His movement for us has been pretty good.
  5. Just to add. Fuck Ovrebo and Blatter!
  6. You should notice that our play style is different then the one Torres needs. Our midfield is more on a energetic and strong side then on a technical and creative one, and our wingers can't deliver the cross or dribble their way in. How do you expect Torres to score then? He is in bad form, BUT if he scored a few he'd get his confidence back, and after a pre-season with us, I'm optimistic towards the future. Also, he is NOT worth 50million. We payed that much because that was his transfer release clause and Liverpool wouldn't have accepted our bid otherwise.
  7. How is Stamford Bridge in front of Bernabeu and Old Traford? The one who was writing that was obviously our fan
  8. He is an exact player we need to work with Torres.
  9. garbosj Hiddink has spent the last week in S Korea where he had prior commitment with charity foundation. Back now and meeting #CFC.
  10. I wanted to say that he's Gareth Bale on the right side
  11. Great post Homer. One thing that can prove your point also is that our form has risen after we were out of FA cup, Carling and and Champions League and better results had started to come. We need to bring 2-3 players now, and give Josh, Sturridge and Bertrand more chances. In 2009/2010 we had a bigger squad that was much better for rotation therefore we managed to keep our players fresh. Take a look at the mere beginning of this season when we were winning. Carlo used basically the same players, and never though of changing that a little. After that when some of our players where injured it was though for the others to cover their place in the team. I'm talking about Zhirkov, Anelka replacing Drogba, midfield trio of Essien, Ramies and Mikel and Bosingwa. I hope we don't repeat the same mistake again, though our players will be rested after the summer.
  12. CJ Revo mah man and friend! Awesome dude! Happy birthday mate, and best wishes for Linda and you
  13. Gareth Bale on the right side He and Richards are going to be very good for England in future. No need to worry about your right back anymore
  14. If I learned something, then that would be that everything is possible in football. It will be hard for Tottenham to reach CL now when we've got City, and Liverpool getting back too, thus meaning we've got a chance. He's young and ambitions and could be tempted. Besides that, he's still low profile and wouldn't cost THAT much. 10-15million max imo.
  15. There really aren't many good and promising right backs around atm, and some of us would say we need one. I personally would like to keep Ivanovic on our right side because he's very good defensively and he has a decent cross. Some of you would say that he doesn't, but take a look at Ashely Cole. He played all of our matches and I can barely remember a good cross from him. Hell even Bertrand assisted to Malouda on the only match he played. On the other hand, with all this talk about "sexy football" and new style of play, I do agree that Ivanovic wouldn't be the best option, but you can't simply start playing a different game out of nothing. It takes time, and switching your style of play fast is very risky. That's when Kyle Walker comes in as my 1st choice for our right back. 21 only, good both in attack and defense, fast, already lives in London and wouldn't be too expensive. We could snatch him while he is still low on profile, or later when he replaces Hutton and Corluka when he'll be more expensive. I know we haven't been linked with him, but I'm interested in your opinion on him. Would you still go for Van der Wiel or would you rather take Walker?
  16. Damn...it's such a bad thing to hear. One should never take his own life and should always keep on fighting. I won't even think how do his parents feel after something as tragic as that. R.I.P.
