  1. Well said Terry, short and sweet, but to the point.
  2. Bellamy.... http://www.thespoiler.co.uk/index.php/2008/06/16/craig-bellamy-beat-up-a-charity-worker-in-sierra-leone
  3. I agree with everything in that post. Bridge played a big part in our success, how quickly fans forget. Im only interested in the football side of things, and I personally think Bridge has made a mistake by quiting England and refusing to shake hands. He is a PROFESSIONAL footballer, so chin up and just get on with it. Do it for your country. I agree 100% that the 'fans' at the weekend have just played right into the hands of the Chelsea hating media. Craig Bellemy, piss off you little cunt, you beat up women in clubs, assaulted that Man Utd fan, attacked a liverpool team mate, and your generally an annoying little cunt, so it really isnt your place to try and judge others. Stan Collymore, I remember the pictures on the front page of the newspapers of your missus' beaten face, do you? Yeah, great role model you were.
  4. Deco seems to have been out injured all season, can see him moving on in the summer along with Ballack and unfortunately, Joe Cole. My god have we missed Essien.
  5. For someone that clearly isnt a natural defender, he isnt doing too bad, pushes up a bit too much but thats only natural for a winger playing at full back. To be fair, anyone playing left back other than Ash isn't going to look half as good.
  6. Alright fellow Chelsea fans, Im Luke, Im from Oxford, my old man is a member on here (oxfordblues) been going to games together since I was a nipper, I've been on here a while now but never introduced myself, so here ya go lol. Cheers, Luke.
  7. Well I half expected him to have a moan, obviously its a horrible injury and its hard to take, but it WAS an accident, anyone that knows football knows that. I have seen comments on youtube saying that in the slow motion replays it looks as if his leg buckles and breaks before Shawcross actually makes contact, I havent had a proper look yet myself though. Get well soon Aron Ramsey.
  8. Saw it on MOTD, no malice in it at all from Shawcross, just one of those things in football, I wish Ramsey a speedy recovery. Has Winger come out and said anything yet?
  9. I dont actually think dropping Terry would help him/improve his form. He just needs a good performance and get some confidence under his belt. And as said, we are a bit light at the back at the min. Alex is out iirc??
  10. Yeah I forgot about Ferreira, seems CA has as well lol. Kalou is a strange kind of player, I cant really decide if we need him or not. I would love to see Kakuta get more games in the first team but were in a situation now where we need a full strength team out in every game, perhaps a few sub appearances at home would do him some good. Mancienne will be part of the first team squad next season without a doubt, as will Bruma and Katuta. Pato would be an excellent signing, I think we need a combatitive midfielder in the shape of a Mascherano/Gattuso as well. I guess one thing we might be forced to consider is a new LB if the NOTW get their way and Ashely Cole ends up going abroad, off the top of my head I'd think, Phillipe Lahm, Leighton Baines, Kieron Gibbs.
  11. I've been saying this for months now, we need a clear out this summer, we have to many 'journeymen' and players that are past their best. Roman, its time to open the purse strings. Out: Hilario - for obviously reasons, he isnt good enough Belletti - too old Carvalho - seen better days Mikel - personally, I think he is too lazy to play as a holding midfielder and doesnt offer the team half as much as Essien does Ballack - past his best, gives the ball away way too much Malouda - Wingers need pace and quick feet, he has neither Deco - passed his best J Cole - I hate to say it as he is a lovely lad, but he has lost his best form and as said, is very injury prone (would do well at an Aston Villa, Everton etc) In: A decent understudy GK that will push Cech Shawcross - a promising young centreback Muamba - another solid defender 2 decent young central midfielders (Stephen Ireland? James Milner? Lee Cattermole?) Ribery - his pace and skill would be a real asset Aguero - he is a real out and out goalscorer (in the Torres mould) Plus - some young talent I feel this would leave us with a good balance of experience (Lampard, Drogba, Anelka, Terry, A Cole) and youth, which is what we need I feel as we currently dont have any young, hungry players eager to win trophies. People like Ballack and Deco have been there, seen it and done it, they really are just here seeing out their playing days on megabucks.
  12. Its ridiculous, fuck them JT, retire from international football. Ok so adultry isnt something I agree with at all, but its not illegal. What IS illegal is missing drugs tests, beating up DJ's or paying for sex from grannies! The press have got what they want, they love to hate Chelsea, they dont realise that all their stories are harming the England camp right before the World Cup. IDIOTS. Ok JT has done wrong, but he is nothing more than a footballer, and a bloody good footballer at that. Since when has players private lives mattered when they perform well on the field. Look at the likes of George Best or Gazza, boozing and shagging their way through their playing careers, they are seen as gods. Fuck them JT, concentrate on playing well for CFC, stop fucking around, sort your private life out, you have the footballing ability to be a legend, we dont want to remember you for being a prick off the field.
  13. I totally agree, you and I both know CFC can play wonderful football, and as you say, consistancy is the key, we can beat anyone on our day, but today just wasnt one of those which is so frustrating. We do have the ability to win the league, and we will be up there, I also think this year we can go all the way in the CL. Lets get our blips/silly mistakes out of the way now and push on towards the end of the season, the players will learn from this and come back strong in midweek and hopefully sustain that for the rest of the season. WE KNOW WE CAN DO IT GUYS!
  14. I love CFC being a big football club, I've supported CFC since we were a mid-table team buddy, I'm just saying that on this occassion they were better than us, we lost our heads and didnt deserve to win its as simple as that. Im sure normal service will be resumed in our next game, Im just obviously disapointed with our performance today as I know we can play alot better.
  15. Simple fact was they wanted it more than us... Right across the park we werent good enough... Cech looked dodgy coming for crosses/high balls into the box, my heart skipped a beat each time he ventured out The defence wasnt good enough, Ash got owned by SWP (who was MOTM IMO) Ivanovic & Belletti were awful, as was Carvalho, what a stupid thing to do by kicking out at Tevez. Midfield, well I forgot Essien and Lampard were on the pitch at times, Deco didnt want to get hurt so was pulling out of tackles, not good enough, and Ballack looked as if Wednesdays game had taken its toll. Anelka had a quiet game as he had no service, but put in a good shift IMO, but Drogba.. hmmm, considering he is going through a purple patch right now, had a bad game, his hold up play was good, but he never really troubled Toure & Lescott, he did well to win the penalty and possible could have scored if he wasnt brung down, but the chance he put wide, along with the penalty miss from Lampard really summed up our day. Ok, so the ref was very card happy and was frustrating our players with his decisions, but as said in the commentry by Man City loving Joe Royale, we shouldnt be reacting by mouthing off at the ref, lunging into tackles (Belletti & Terry) Belletti's on Bridge and Terry's just after the penalty miss on Adebayor (it was a great tackle, but its what injured him) we should get the ball down on the ground and play as we know we can, these are international footballers, and they have lost their heads against a team brave enough to have a go and get in our faces, I think all the talk of us being unbeatable in the papers this week maybe got into the players heads, and obviously was the motivation Man City needed to show they are a team to be reckoned with. Well done to Man City I say, as I said, they wanted it more than we did and deserved the 3 points. I agree with what is being said, I feel sorry for Apoel and Everton, they will get the backlash, our players will be hurt, in the next few games they WILL bust a gut and bang the goals in, it just didnt happen today, we could say its an off day/bad day at the office, but thats 3 away games now where we have given up
  16. Just watched the highlights on MOTD, we were awesome, the Drogba goal was so easy. Keep it up boys!!
  17. Luke

    Hitler

This may be a repost, if it is I do apologise, this is funny as hell...
  18. Manager: Guus Hiddink 4-4-2 GK: Cech - Reina RB: Alves - Johnson CB: Terry - Vidic CB: Cannavaro - Upson LB: A Cole - Evra RM: Ronaldo - Messi CM: Lampard - Iniesta CM: Kaka - Essien LM: J Cole - Ribery CF: Drogba - Henry CF: Torres - Rooney
  19. Lenny, sort yourself out, you were a promising young keeper when you were with us, but you didnt put the hard work in did you, now look at you, sort yourself out or you'll be a painter and decorator by the time your 30. Jeeeez!!
  20. What does everyone think of whats going on at Upton Park, in the relegation zone, club being sold with huge debts, is Zola's job safe? With the club in the position they're in, they cant afford to be relegated with the debts they have, I hope Zola works it out. Also, while were on the subject of West Ham, how about Carlton Cole, he is a reformed player, he has admitted himself that he didnt put enough effort and hard work in during his time with us, but he had grown and developed as a player. Today on Soccer Saturday, the commentator said he was unplayable today, and was showing signs of being a Drogba type centre forward, which got me thinking, do any CFC fans see him coming back to the Bridge in the future as a natural successor to DD (he is 31)...?
  21. Looking forward to MOTD, us winning 4-0, Liverscum losing, 8 red cards, own goals, managers heads on the line (Phil Brown)... just another day in the EPL, Bring on 10:30.
  22. I think Ballack will stay with us, he is playing a vital role, and I'm sure he is a huge asset off the field too, helping the younger players etc. I think we have a good blend of experience and youth in the squad at the moment, the only thing I'd like right now is a young prodigy to burst through in the same way Rooney did at Everton at 16/17 and also come left sided cover for Ash (be it Hutchinson or not, I' not sure) as I dont think its good to play right footed players on the left personally. Our squad is fine at the moment, Ballack isnt going anywhere.
  23. We dont really need a striker right now, we already have DD, Nico, Kalou, Sturridge... as well as Di Santo and Sinclair out on loan. Then there is Malouda and J Cole if we go one up top with two supporting midfielders. If we were to lose Anelka or Kalou, then yeah, this guy would be up there at the top of the list of potential replacements.
