  1. Wow, I cant decide, I will never forget Di Matteo's 43 second goal in the 97 FA Cup final, I was 13 at the time and went with my dad to the Bridge to watch it in the bar (I cant remember which one we were in now) I remember thinking as we kicked iff 'come on, an early goal would be perfect' and in it went, I ran screaming, jumping, I just couldnt believe it. Next up would be Ranieri's celebration to Bridge's goal vs Arsenal in the CL, It was one of them moments where I was so proud to be a CFC fan, at the time, Ranieri was in the media spotlight, will he keep his job, will RA bring someone else in next season etc! When that goal went in and you saw how much it meant to him, when he was nearly crying with joy, I wanted him to stay. And finally, the 2-0 win against Bolton to win the PL, I was shaking throughout the match and when Lamps rounded the keeper to net the second goal I was overcome with joy, I cried, to see the players celebrating infront of the fans, to see Mourinho call his wife with the news, to see Roman down on the pitch linking arms with JT and FL, it was truly a special day, and one that will live with me for ever.
  2. He wont play in the Premiership again thats for sure. From the stories in the paper, he is an idiot, 'do you know who I am?'... Yeah, your a shit footballer playing well above your level, you also think its ok to abuse women when you dont get what you want. I hope his stint inside makes him realise what an IDIOT he has been, he had it made, playing in the Premiership earning good money, he chose the glamourous lifestyle instead of working hard to be at the top of his game, which is a shame. I also think its right that Wigan have sacked him, any random employer would have done, so a football club shouldnt be any different, these players are role models and I definately wouldnt want young Chelsea fans worshipping a player like King/Barton/Gerrard etc.
  3. Personally I'm not that impressed as of yet. Not too sure what to make of newspaper stories about him not pulling his weight in training and senior players having a word in his ear telling him to buck up his idea's. I do want him to do well, and I have no doubts that with some hard work, he will do.
  4. Personally, one thing that really grinds my gears is arrogant and ignorant people, there is no need for it. Also, socks and sandles is a good shout lol. As well as people that wear sunglasses either when its not sunny, or they're indoors, I mean, WTF lol. And dont even get me started on students... comb your bloody hair once in a while, and dress properly! Jeeez!!
  5. When was he last time a 17 year old got a run out for the first team? It hasnt happened in the last 4-5 years or so, this lad must be rated very highly by the looks of things. He was solid vs BR, but didnt really break into a sweat, hopefully we will see a more appearances from him in the FA Cup 3rd round etc (depending who we draw).
  6. Another good result for us. I'm optimistic now that we can get a good run of wins under our belt, hopefully we wont get too many tired legs in midweek away to Athletico, get a decent win/performance that will take us into the game against Manure... who, are looking very dodgy at the minute, bad performance last week and today, although they are winning at the moment (5 mins to go) they arent looking anywhere near the good form we are used to seeing from them. As for Liverpool, Rafa is a GOD, I really hope he doesnt quit/get sacked, he is doing a GREAT job... 1-1 and takes off Torres and Benayoun, their two best players this season, what a great tactical decision that was. Bring on Athletico and Manure I say!! Oh and its great to see Lamps scoring again.
  7. Dont like the new away kit, sorry. Also getting a bit annoyed that we keep bringing 2 new kits each season!
  8. He is just being a spoilt brat as always, throwing his toys out of his pram because he wasnt the centre of attention on Wednesday night. Also, he could be trying to engineer a move to Real Madrid... Barcelone being their biggest rivals in Spain etc.
  9. Was a great game, we played really well, Malouda and Ashley were superb as was Anelka. Well done boys, were proud of you!
  10. i hope he wins the lot, then he will want to walk away and try another challenge, english FA cup being one, and champions league again...... with us this time! there is a method to my theory
  11. OUT: Hilario, bring in a young english keeper to back up Cech Ivanovic, not good enough Ferreira, past his best Belletti, too old Mineiro, why did we sign him? Ballack, past his best, no hunger Malouda, goes without saying Drogba, 1 good season from 5, and past his best Kalou, not consistant enough for a top european side Borderline: Deco, if we can reproduce the form from his hay day at barca, then keep him, Anelka, if he scores goals instead of blabbing in the papers every week, then keep him KEEP: JT, LAMPS, JOEY, the heart and soul of Chelsea Ashley Cole, Bosingwa, pacey full backs Alex, Mancienne, Carvalho, riccy to partner JT, with the other two as back up Essien and mikel, as the holding midfielders, Essien also as an attacking force i'd like to see youngsters getting games, ie stoch, sinclair, di santo, BUY: Robinho, already proven to be a good premiership player Agbonlahor, pacey striker Zaki, powerful target man Tevez, proven in this league and a young hungry all round midfield player
  12. i agree with alot of whats being said here. players like ballack, deco, drogba, belletti have been there and done it, they are now picking up HUGE wage packets, living in the finest city in the world, they are kicking back and relaxing, they have no hunger and drive! which is exactly what a team wanting to win trophies need. when players like stoch, sinclair, and mancienne do make brief appearences they chase every ball and work hard... ok they might not be able to do fancy flicks like your Deco's but me personally would prefer to see players on the field that are committed to the cause. after all, we pay our hard earnt cash to watch them play, we want to see hunger, drive, and commitment to the cause! something we dont have at the minute! myself, like many Chelsea fans would work during the week and play for the blue shirt on a saturday afternoon for free, only JT, Lamps and Joe would do that in our squad i believe
  13. very good report, and from the sun, im shocked
  14. i think we need an extra something in the final third, give scott a go scolari, drop that donkey anelka, he is dropping us points!!
  15. he has said he wants to take his coaching badges so ya ever know will always remember the volley at old trafford from tore andre flo's cut back, awesome goal enjoy your retirement jimmy, your a Chelsea legend
  16. we need cover with essien out and this guy was a free agent so has cost nothing and we can only sign free agents outside of the transfer window, big phil has worked with him before so im sure he is coming in short term and can do a job for us as players have done in the past, for example, maniche dont expect him to set the world alight, its a short term solution to essiens injury, nothing more, nothing less
  17. he must have been mis quoted, why would he single out Chelsea?? typicl media hatred towards us again. SWP had plenty of time to re produce the form he enjoyed at his first spell at man city but never did ben hiam was never good enough, he was brought in as cover not as a first team regular, yes he was a good player for bolton, but us? no way sidwell, at the start of the season he had plenty of games but was awful in each one, again, yes he was readings best player, but never reproduced for us. terry lamps joey cole ashley cole bridgey... all members of the england first team squad carlton cole, currently west hams first choice striker, came through our academy a number of young players on loan in the lower leagues, sahar at pompy, jimmy smith, wosley moved to leicester in the summer, we have a number of young talent knocking on the door of the first team ie sinclair mancienne di santo etc we have developed many many many players careers and the last few years, cech, drogba, robben, kezman, geremi, mikel, essien, gudjohnsen stockpilling?? or something every club in the premiership does?? man utd have recently signed berbatov... to add to the forwards already in the squad, rooney ronaldo, tevez, campbell, giggs, park is that stockpilling or have stength in depth??
  18. i agree, after seeing their game against roma, they are not push overs, they are well organised and work very hard, coupled with the fact that our strikers cant hit a barn door, we done well to come away with a point... however i do feel at home we will take 3 points from them, id say our most difficult game of the group is now out of the way. i hope drgba's injury isnt as bad a first feared, sky sports say its not a fracture which is good news, as for anelka, we cant rely on him to score goals, he is a confidence player and the pressure of being the only fit striker in the team is taking its toll on him. give sinclair or di santos a run in the team! we need deco back asap
  19. i think its going to go down to the wire
  20. we didnt play that badly, just were unlucky, must admit were missing that little bit of magic in front of goal at the minute, will create more with drogba back. dont really want to mention robinho as his signing hasnt been confirmed but we need that kind of player, we do miss the threat of robben/duff. i would like to see drogba and anelka up front together, anelka will benefit from drogba's presence. not sure why belletti was playing centre mid, would have been better to play essien back there and have deco and lamps in the middle with joey and kalou supporting anelka just an unlucky game really from a Chelsea point of view and a very lucky one if your a yido!
  21. i think its only right that the club retire the number 25, its not a well saught after squad number west ham have just retired their number 6 for bobby moore, matthew upson had to give it up
  22. i hate the GK shirt, its a horrid colour, i always think GK jerseys should be green home shirt is ok, reminds me alot of the home kid from 97/98 black away shirt is nice, as is the yellow, reminds me of the 01/02 away kit i wont be buying any of them tho, way to expensive to buy each bloody season
  23. yeah there was a testimonial, it was against zaragoza, cant remember the score, think it was 0-0
  24. well lets take a look at what we need GK: cech is world class... there was talk of carlo going back to italy, not sure of the status on that so maybe a replacement gk is needed LB: ashley and bridgey are more than good enough RB: new signing looks steady, paolo can still do a job, would pick them both ahead of belletti, and bouhlarouz will go CB: jt and riccy are solid (i hope the stories of riccy going to inter are false) alex is good cover, i would sell ben hiam and bring thru mancienne when needed DM: maka will go back to france, or maybe to italy, good sevant but cant handle two games in a row now in a 60+ games a season, mikel and essien are solid in this position, sidwell will go AM: frank i hope will stay, bring in deco, joey cole is solid, as is ballack, swp will go as will malouda ST: drogba i think will go, anelka can go, i think sheva has one more season in him, pizzaro can go, bring in eto and ronaldinho, kaou will stay i think
