What's with this "Bench Player" thing? Ramires, a "bench player", started almost every big/tough game for us in the last two seasons, because Mourinho likes to add more body in midfield in certain games, and i think we can all agree we need someone who's better than Ramires for this crucial role. Maybe people just dont get how crucial it is? it seems like it. Is Song really the player we want for this role? my answer is a huge 'no'. He'll be a good signing only if Mikel AND Ramires are leaving, in that case we need 2 new CMs. When we only need one, it shouldnt be Song, even if he's "better than our current options", like its so hard to find. Kondogbia, Allan, Schniderlin, Gustavo, Naingolan, Gundogan, Imbula, those are the sort of players we should look at for this role. Song is a good player but thats it, he wasnt at all spectacular for Arsenal, terrible for Barcelona and not very consistent for WHU, and he's not going to get any better.

The CM we get this summer (well, we really should) is very important, he's the player who should take Ramires's place in the big games, we can't just settle for Song who we know isn't going to turn out into a great CM, he's just a decent one, not someone we should play next to Matic and Cesc on a regular basis.

Cause we're straight up Europeans dude, what the f*** do you mean?No it's the political issues. Until the 70's we played with Asia, then for a little time in Oceania, and since 1992 in Europe, which also meant we started playing in the Europe club completions.
-
Because Pogba will cost 70m pounds, and the club thinks he doesn't worth it? Maybe they don't think the hype is right? that he isn't a complete and a consistent midfielder? Lots of reasons not to go for Pogba, those are my reasons anyway.

It's a case of money, the Italian clubs don't have enough of it, but Chelsea and United do, both clubs and City and PSG obviously will try their best to compete with the 3 top teams of the last few years in Europe. If they won't do it, they didn't do the right things..It's not out of their hands. Personally I don't think this Chelsea side are far from competing for CL on a yearly basis, Real and Bayern have serious issues themselves which makes it easier. Even with the domination of Real, Barca and Bayern, in the last 4 CL finals 4 other clubs got to the final, shows you there are some cracks Chelsea and United can get into.Btw, you could have picked Di Maria vs Azpi or Hazard vs Shaw... and you could've picked Malouda vs Rafael.. Point is, both clubs have great players and both can have more of them, if needed. It's far from the situation with Milan, Liverpool or other clubs who can only enjoy the memories of the past. Although Milan are getting serious as well this summer...

Jackson Martinez is going to AC Milan, done deal according to Porto president and Sky Italia. Great signing for them, they're also looking to bring Kondogbia and Zlatan, pushed by the money of the new owner maybe we'll see a good Milan side next season? I think its also great that Arsenal didnt go for him, think he would've scored lots for them, but they'll probably keep going with Giroud.

First of all we're not linked with D.Costa, it's just another interview from him that got everyone to talk about him again for no good reason, second of all it's great that City are after Pogba, they still have about zero chance to get him since he obviously don't want to go there. About a big signing, the only real "big" signing we could make that would make everyone excited is for RW, but if Mourinho belives in Cuadrado so that's that, we have enough to go with in numbers. The realistic options for RW I see are Fekir, Sterling and Griezmann, who else could come and be considered a big signing? I don't know. I don't see the need in big signings, it's just have to be players who'll improve us as a team, and the first thing is a CM for me. Until now we seem very quiet about it and this is what worries me. I see the names of Kondogbia, Imbula, Schneiderlin, Allan, linked with moves to some clubs and nothing from our end. I hope the club have something we don't know about.

BREAKING: Sky sources: Manchester Utd interested in signing Tottenham's Harry Kane. They are also closing on Firmino according to some reports in Brasil and Germany (Sky Deutschland) I dont get both targets tbh. They have enough AMs with Depay, Mata, Di Maria, Young and Januzaj, and Kane will be crazy expensive, there are better strikers for the 30-40 million pounds he'll probably go for. He'll also be a back up in LVG's 4-3-3.
-
It's frustrating seeing him stuck in that RW role when the opposition just waits for him, no way he'll get something significant out of that position. I'm sure it frustrates him as well. It's not his position and its so obvious. I'm ok with him at RW in the big games or the more challenging games for more stability and control, and the push he gives for counter attacks, but in the other games Mourinho need to find something else, for him and for that position.

"according to reports in the English press" What reports...
-
I dont see big players coming City's way until now... some talk from their chairman thats what worries you?
-
Hazard imo is a lot better than Alexis who's a great player as well. When Ozil is Ozil, he's wonderful playmaker and a joy to watch, but it rarely happens. Personally, im not taking him to Chelsea in the place of Willian or Oscar.
-
Same as you, I only saw him on YouTube clips but I was shocked at how good he is on the ball... Napoli wants him and Di Marzio and Gds are saying Udinese wants 18m euros. There are a lot of options for midfield and he's certainly seems like a good one. Though like I said i haven't seen a full game...
-
That's more of Metro's nonsense. Saying 'Reports in Italy', but there's no source in Italy who says that.Edit: they actually say Roma agreed the deal with cagliari (Radja is co-owned. and it's false) and they don't even mention cagliari in the article... It's really a waste of time dealing with Metro. Absolute crap.

I believe he did tried to check the situation of Koke and Pogba, maybe one-two months ago, but quickly he knew its impossible, hence the Oscar comment ("He'll have Hazard's evolution"). Just a speculation of course. He'll bring a midfielder who's gonna play in the big games, and Oscar would probably challenge Willian for those games, like this season. But in the "Normal" games, i can still see Oscar as a regular starter, unless we bring another RW or Cuadrado starts to shine.

50M euros, and he's a LW.
-
I dont know about that. I mean, Maybe Nainggolan is slightly inferior on the ball, but not for an important amount anyway. Nainggolan is technical, a good passer and could get out of trouble (pressing) in midfield with his dribble, power and ball control. I would say he's better than Matic on the ball, which for me suggests its good enough. Witsel is very calm and easy to look when on the ball, and a good CM off course, but tbh i never rated him too much, rarely i've seen him really dominates the midfield. When i saw Zenit in CL in the last 2-3 seasons he wasnt even the dominant CM in Zenit, he was always like 'the other CM who's easy to look at but things wont go through him, it would go through the Russian no-name besides him'. When i see Nainggolan in Seria A (when he clearly was one of the best midfielders this season), i see a mature player, someone who could take the lead, and also a real fighter... i cant see all of that in Witsel, and i actually think he's far away from Radja if im honest, but you probably see him differently..
-
Nainggolan would be much, much better imo. But we're almost in the middle of June and still there arent any links to any CM. About Jose's words, "Midfielder" could mean AM, but CM seems like the even more important issue i think, doesnt mean we wont bring a Winger since Cuadrado could leave.
-
Mourinho talked at the BT Sport launch of their Champions League coverage, a Mail reporter who was there tweets: "Jose Mourinho reveals he is targeting a striker, defender and midfielder in the transfer market this summer."
-
Jackson Martinez's agent says someone paid the release clause of 35m Euros, wonder who. Arsenal, Valencia or Milan, as it looks.
-
Its not completely bulshit because he cant play until 2016.
-
Di Marzio now says Atletico are interested in Cuadrado as well, when he already said they want Salah. If thats the truth, i would be surprised if we wont be making any swap deals with them. So according to Di Marzio its Inter, Roma and Atletico after Cuadrado. Fiorentina, Atletico and Wolfsburg after Salah.

Anderson is right footed and plays LW isnt he? Personally i would prefer Fekir, its hardly a makeshift when he played for one team and for only two seasons, he's yet to find is "preferred" position imo. And Anderson is pretty similar experience-wise But anyway, there arent many options.. in the forum we can keep playing this game of "hope he'll be available", and reject many options like Fekir, but in reality i cant see a WC winger who can possibly be availble this summer. Something could happen, but you need to be ready that nothing will. So then, what do you do.
-
Ok, who?
-
In Lyon he played as the 10# or the second striker behind Lacazette, that doesn't mean those are the only positions he can play in. Lyon don't play with RW or LW, they play a diamond formation. I can't think of any reason Fekir can't play as the RW in our system with his left foot and fantastic ball control. And it's not like Reus or Griezmann played RW in their careers. But you didnt answer my question, what would you do?
