  1. Hmm, really interesting. I think it could be a good deal. And like this, he won't have to play for several teams in one year, like our other lonies do.
  2. ^ Nope, he wasn't good with us... Since he didn't play with us.
  3. Yes he learns. He has waited the end of the season to sack Ancelotti. Even if he could have easily done that during the winter.
  4. Maybe if we can get Hiddink for next season then hire Van Basten as the assitant manager (since according to rumours Hiddink advise him to us) and see what he's made of...
  5. Though, if you could get him for reasonnable price, it could be a good buy. I mean, even if we want to get away from our old style (ie a target man up front) and start to play like Barcelona with little players, it could be good to have a big man to change our formation or playing style when necessary. It's important to have a plan B. Like what Spain did at the world cup with Llorente. I remember when they were struggling with their traditional playing style, they did play him, that changed the physiognomy of the game... But for £20m it would be to expensive, and I don't know if he wants to be that kind of player (benched..)
  6. ^ the formation I made wasn't supposed to be our starting eleven in big games or stuff. It was just to explain the role i want him to play. So basically, that's where he should play imo when he will have to play.
  7. I'm not sure that Lukaku is the right man if we want to play 'sexy football' lol.
  8. I see where you're coming from. And I'd be okay with you at some extend. I mean, to buy someone like Benayoun who is more or less cheap, okay, but to buy another superstar to accomodate our biggest transfert... I find that overdone. ps : if that's true that Lukaku is near a Chelsea player, then no for Aguero. And I hope it isn't for a £20m fee...
  9. I'm like MadMax, would love see him playing as an centre midfielder, not on the wings. That's his real position and that's where he excels. Basically, I'd like something like this (4-2-3-1 formation) : Ramires - Mikel ?????? - Kakuta - Neymar Sturridge ps : I've just put some random names, just to illustrate my thoughts lol
  10. ^ There are two wings. And unfortunatly, we have problems on both wings. So no, to buy Hazard instead of Neymar won't resolve our problems. We will just resolve our problem on the right wing instead of the left.
  11. Because one plays on the wing and the other is a striker... ... Hazard is a right winger, we also need a left winger...
  12. So we suddenly have all forgot about a young english striker we bought £6m and who is on fire ? Mate... We have already paid £50 fuckin millions and given him a £180k-per-week wage... We won't buy a player who cost £35m and who will ask for a £120k-per-week wage just in the aim that Torres can score some goals... Build a team around one player is dangerous, even more if we aren't guarenteed that this player will be world class again. Just be confident in Sturridge. Don't need Aguero. Imo, the choice was either Torres, Aguero or Pato. Abramovich has chose Torres..
  13. Think he meant Carroll is less good than Torres.
  14. Mate, we shouldn't try to build a team around a player who we don't even know if he will become good again... Plus Aguero is more of a striker, Neymar's profile will be more useful for us.
  15. Agreed with LDN. This is the summer where we will buy and sell a lot of players, in other terms this is the summer where we will build a new team. And that's to be our new manager, ie the one who's supposed to be our long-term manager, who has to choose those players. Well, not really 'to choose', because it seems Roman and Hiddink have already selected... But at least give his opinion.. You know my point. Perhaps there's another solution : we choose right now the man who's gonna succed Hiddink, ask him what kind of players he wants et al, and let Hiddink to prepare him the way. That's a bit hard to achieve and a bit risky though...
  16. Bad idea. It would be worst to sack him at the midway of the season.
  17. Yep, he was born in 1991, So 20 years-old. This likely is why he was bad. But anyway, I didn't watch him enough to claim whether he was good week in week out.. About Gervinho, I'm not sure.. When I saw him play, I thought his game was based on his speed and tricks. But yes he has a good little strength (you're kinda forced to have a good physical strength to play in Ligue 1).
  18. I didn't see it like this, but now you mentioned it, he gets my vote to become our next manager
  19. We don't know whether he's good at his job or not. So we can't tell if he deserved to be axed or not. Unless you know something we don't (i mean, if you know the result of his work or something like that) ?
  20. Nah mate, he is a right winger. And I think he also can play behind the striker(s), but I'm not sure here.
