Let's hope its CHO - Hazard - Willian then. If Willian has to start...

Sarri did say those things about Ruben as well. He talked a lot about how he needed to improve the defensive side of his game and not giving the ball away in dangerous places, etc. After a couple games that he impressed in the Europa League, Sarri's words and tone changed. He specifically talked about how Ruben improved defensively and positionally. So it's honestly not a surprise that he has changed the same way on CHO. CHO really did work back excellently last game and seem to position himself differently at times. Against Watford Sarri also mentioned how he did very well in that regard. I do think the possibility of him leaving has influenced Sarri's words, but it hasn't been as drastic as people are making it sound. He has been coming around for awhile. Unfortunately, it seems that it takes more for younger players to impress Sarri. And it's crazy CHO hadn't played more already. Especially when he went behind moses in the pecking order at the beginning of the season. No excuse there. -
Come on man. You can't at all actually tell what someone's life is truly like through Instagram. You can fake anything on that. It is meaningless. Just because it seems like he has a happy marriage, or a pretty wife, or nice things, or whatever you constitute as "perfect", it doesn't mean that he has a good private life. There's no telling what anything is actually like. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

True. Either way I hope that ampadu's future is CB. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

I have a feeling he will be playing where Kante usually plays. I hope not, but I don't know if he's technical enough to play the other role. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

I'm not sure it does. If CHO and/or RLC is fit, it's very possible either of them starts with hazard at striker. It's clear hazard is first choice there.

Agree with all of this except the fabinho part. Seems a bit of an exaggeration. It wasn't that he didn't play well at first, it was that he literally didn't play at all the first 8 gameweeks. You can't say he improved because there was nothing to compare it to. He was good in one game against United (and they were in a disarray, so that shouldn't be hard). But he's been very average every other one. Even today he was there worst player. The commentators after the game called him excellent, but that's simply not true. They won 5-1 so it's almost impossible to have a bad game. But he was pretty close to having one. Klopp deserves all the praise he is getting, but I don't think he's improved fabinho at all yet or that not playing at the beginning was a stroke of genius. It's more like he knows fabinho isn't very good and has started to play him more now that the fixtures have piled up. Keita isn't built for a two man midfield with wijnaldum, so when shaqiri especially is playing, the more defensive fabinho makes sense. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

Can't teams only have 2 loanees from the same team within England? Derby have tomori and mount. Also, I would send him where he would play at CB. I don't think he has the attributes to be a top midfielder, but he does for CB. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

Definitely not confident either. It's crazy how poor our attack looks without hazard in it. Regarding kova/Barkley, part of me agrees with what you're saying. But also, we are going to boss and control the game with either kova or Barkley, that won't change. And Barkley is more likely to score so he partially makes more sense. Especially with hazard out, we need someone who can score. Ross was always likely to start after kovacic started at midweek too.

It was lucky. He tried to stop the ball and it went under his foot. Did well in the end, but didn't mean it. It was a bad touch/no touch
-
Come on, there is no such thing as "soft offside". It is either off side or it isn't. I agree that he is really poor defensively. He seems to scramble out of position often and nobody presses with him. I wonder if this has something to do with the team getting used to a new pressing system. He also does not track back well. He is honestly just a bit slow and it leaves lots of space at the top of the box. That said, The number of touches matters a lot. He controlled this game at times and was brilliant when he did. He also is constantly helping out teammates with instructions of where to move and pass. He does need to adjust defensively, but he is top class.

Unrelated to Alonso, but Bellerin has really lost some pace over the last year or so. It is really weird to see.
-
Not sure. I would think so, but I think it's very possible when Kante comes back that fabregas moves further forward. Although if that were the idea, it would make sense to go ahead and play fab there so he could get used to it. I'll be interested to see. Excited about Barkley this season.

Yes, there are players that seem to have the potential to majorly up their production in the future, but I don't see that possiblity in Willian. Part of me wonders if Barca might see him as a Paulinho replacement. As many have said here, he should have been tried at CM years ago.

[emoji23] what would have been relevant was the link. So I was trying to bring that in to the forum discussion... You could have posted it, you could have said "I saw it on a reliable source Twitter/this certain website, I don't have time to find it again." But you wanted to act like you're above me. Don't act like this wasn't on you/your ego. I'm done with the conversation now.

Lol no. This is the internet, you don't need to act tough. I simply asked for a source and said you often don't post one. And you seemed to take offense and bring up post count...

[emoji1319][emoji1319] very classy response

Source? You often post these blurbs about transfer news but don't give any source so we can't check, etc...

@Adnane's post expresses a lot of my thoughts so I won't repeat them. But I will add. Azpi is still by far the best player we have for RB as Darrin likes to play. He is underrated technically, and is actually a very good passer and decision maker (which is vital for a defender for sarri). He is always looking for the best pass and has the ability to play in pretty tight spaces. He's obviously a willing runner and is smart in his pressing. He's not the perfect RB for sarri but like Adnane said, managers adapt. Azpi is too brilliant to consider dropping at this point.
-
Agreed that he should be captain. Especially since Cahill shouldn't be playing, but honestly who has the armband really isn't important. The leaders are going to be leading the team either way. Yes, sometimes adding the responsibility of the band helps encourage that, but you can encourage the same in many other ways. Real leaders are leading either way. And Azpi already does that.

The perfect Mourinho player is one that is no longer effective in the modern game. His methods and tactics are outdated and ineffective at the VERY top level. So I am more than happy to let him have his "perfect player". He has the ability to create magic, but he does not have the awareness or the vision or the brain to actually execute it. He is unbelievably technically talented, but it means nothing cause he doesn't produce except for his annual purple patch of a few games. I think his set pieces are overrated after that season he scored a few off of them. I don't think he has scored one since, but I could be wrong. So yes, I agree he is a good player, but nothing more. Very easily replaceable. And one that would continue to stagnate the United side.
-
I would actually prefer him to go to Man U. He improved them slightly but not enough for it matter. If the fees are the same, I would send him to United. He has such poor end product that he would hold them back. It likely stops them from getting a player that would progress them as a team. That's ideal to me. I felt the same about matic. It hurts them over the long term. I would also love martial. I know his end product is inconsistent but I think he needs a manager that will believe in him instead of criticize.

Dude I am with you that courtois is class and one of the best keepers in the world.... But your responses in this thread have been old for so long. You clearly just want to say something sarcastic EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. that you post to try and prove some kind of point. You could just post something constructive and have a real conversation/debate about it. @mods- I'm not sure how he is still posting here, he simply pulls the post quality down of the thread every time Courtois does something good.

I don't believe this. Across Europe from who?? He's not a good player. Decent at running hard in to open space but he lacks wayyy too much in other areas. His one hope for making it at a top club was as a LB/LWB. And that didn't quite work out/didn't get that much time there. Middle table player. But we will make a profit at some point, so well done by the club.
