Over the past few years, we've produced many more than man u though...yes, none have quite broken through like rashford, but who else has man u produced? Lingaard is not top quality. We've had Christensen, ake, RLC, CHO. Man u's youth production is so overrated. Ever since the class of 92 or whatever. Taking nothing away from rashford. The kid is brilliant. This had nothing to do with a good manager. It was simply two terrible mistakes by psg players and a clear mistake by the ref...then poor finishing and execution on psg's part. They should have been up 3-0 in the first half. In fact, did you see how absolutely lost bailly and young looked on that right hand side in the first half? I'd consider that very poor coaching because he's the one that set that up. It's unbelievable how much has gone man u's way since ole took over. They've win multiple games they didn't deserve to. And there a few others they started poorly and the other teams missed absolute sitters, then they went on to win. Yes there has been good coaching and freeing if the players, but their run reminds me Leicester's when they won the league. They'll come back down to earth. This is what I mean when I say that people are looking for anything to jump on Sarri for. I wasn't debating about these other aspects of Sarri, and I'm not defending whether he should still have a job or not. I wasn't responding at all to his job as a whole. But then you bring in his job as whole. That's not the point. That is confirmation bias. Where one thing happens and you interpret it to confirm an already existing belief. And your belief is clearly Sarri needs to go. So you interpreted his words as saying that Kante isn't good enough and that he is shitting on him. This is confirmation that Sarri should go. But Sarri isn't shitting on Kante in any way. He was asked about playing him in a certain role, and Sarri responded professionally (saying the things he's said since the beginning). That it depends on the way you are playing football, and his way, Kante does not fit there. It is not a criticism. He isn't saying he's poor, just that he isn't suited. It's like saying Higuain isn't suited to play as a striker. It's not a criticism. I'm not defending Sarri's tactics or lack of flexibility or the fact that CHO hasn't played or that Alonso is still somehow getting games. It's embarrassing how he handled things. But it doesn't help to try to take every single thing he says and does as another reason to sack him. What he said about Kante today was not bad. He was simply responding to a question.

Come on, Sarri is just responding to constant questions form the media about this Kante/jorginho thing. Jorginho has been the scapegoat for most pundits and people are acting as if Kante is being screwed over. He is not saying anything against Kante as a player. It is simply that he does not fit that position for Sarri's style. That is clearly true too. Kante doesn't move the ball near as quick as jorg. He is a different player. Sarri isn't blaming Kante for anything. He is saying his style suits a particularly position better than another. What's wrong with that? Nothing. People are looking for anything to jump on to Sarri for. I would argue that Kante has improved tremendously as a player this season, and a lot of that is thanks to Sarri.

It does matter because all of these are situational. I agree that things like this have happened and will continue to happen, and that loyalty isn't what it used to be. But like I said, it is not just because he loves Lille. There is so much more behind it, which I explained in my previous post. And yes, I honestly believe that if PSG is the only club that comes in for him, he would say no. His interviews and attitude and character and care for his family and honestly his lack of drive at times all point towards that. I think he cares more about enjoying football and life than winning all the time (I find this refreshing, although a better middle ground would be ideal). And it's clear in his mind that is either here or Madrid.

It's not that simple though. You have to look at the person's character, the things they care about, and their situation. Fabregas' and Courtois situations are unbelievably different. Fab apparently wanted to go back to Arsenal before he joined us but they didn't want him (him and ozil in the same team would be an absolute nightmare as a coach). Fab wanted to play and challenge for titles, and we were a perfect fit for that. Courtois wanted to move for his kids, and he was always a turd. He didn't grow up in madrid, he was simply on loan there for a few seasons. Hazard on the other clearly absolutely loves Lille. He's said previously he doesn't want to go to another french team and that he has already played in the french league so he doesn't want that experience again soon. Haz is a really good human too. He also obviously only has eyes for Real if he leaves. If he's going to disrupt his family and life here, he's doing it for his childhood dream. The huge wages don't hold up here either. It has to be said that our unbeaten streak at the beginning of the season and playing surprisingly well at first likely has come back to bite us. It seems the players did not let the tactics settle completely because of it. We should have been having these problems in the first couple of months. Sarri is right that they have abandoned his tactics and basic movements, specifically when things go bad. That's clear as day. We desperately need a bit of flexibility and the like for like subs are infuriating at times. Not to mention playing underperforming players. I could go on and on with things that need work. Doubt it. It's probably simply because he's behind Willian in the pecking order. RLC offers the possiblity for a midfield or winger sub if necessary due to injury. Dumb decision to not put him on the bench. Also likely means he won't start on Saturday. It'll probably be Willian and hazard on the wings. It's so frustrating. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

I know that most people will hate these comments and use it against him, but I find it so refreshing. What he said is true. We emphasize "winning" so much more than we should. Obviously there is a need for competitiveness and winning, but at what cost? If you hate what you do but are good at, what kind of a life is that? It's why Mou's philosophy doesn't work anymore. He pits this us against the world mentality, where you have to fight with you blood constantly, and that's mentally exhausting over time. Players (especially younger players) want to enjoy their football, not be exhausted by it. In Hazard's mind, winning is secondary to enjoying for what it is, the beautiful game. Winning and results are then a product of the enjoyment, not the sole reason for it. He's somebody who has got his priorities right in life. It's in his personality. Yes, there is no doubt that at times it holds him back from being more clinical or influential, but that should never supersede his love for the game. He's playing the sport in the world as his job, entertaining fans in the process. He should be enjoying that. We can't change him and we shouldn't try. It does mean that we should get other players in the team who are on the other end of the spectrum, or ones at least a little further. We need all those perspectives. It's another reason I love Sarri and think that he gives us more of a chance of Hazard staying. Sarri came in and immediately said the most important thing is for these footballers to enjoy their work. When we tied Liverpool when we should have won, Sarri had a smile on his face at the end of the game. Again, I know people hate this, but I admire it. The beauty of the game as a whole is more important than one particular team winning. I know I will likely get slaughtered for saying this, but I hope you all get what i mean. I'm not saying winning doesn't matter.

The Mendy comparison doesn't really hold weight though. Mendy has the potential to be the best LB in the league. The dude is a monster. Zouma's ceiling is nowhere near that level. As much as I hate to say it, Delph at LB is worse than Cahill at CB in the systems we played. There wasn't as much competition. It made sense to not play zouma after such a long spell out. As an American, ESPN is an awful source for football/soccer related things. Brilliant in other sports, but they know nothing in this sport. Come on man, what's so hard to understand about the fact that the shaded region in the picture you showed (and they showed on tv) tells us that Kane's feet were onside. Nobody is disagreeing with that. But his feet are BARELY onside. And he is leaning forward, meaning his head and shoulder especially are beyond his feet. Meaning that it's very likely those parts of his body are off since his feet were barely on. It's clear those images do not take that in to account. Agreed. I would be fine with him not signing a contract in January, but not leaving. It would let him see the season out and see if he is actually going to get regular playing time now that Sarri has seemed to come around. We may lose 10 mil if bayern come back in the summer and he still wants to leave. But that 10 mil is worth the risk.
