  1. "He is the chief, the fucking man" Well what do you know, Pep is right.
  2. Well good, sell him. Injury prone, doesn't do much when he comes on either. Waste of 18 million pounds.
  3. I find Maradona to be greater than Pele, considering Pele was part of a Brazil side that was loaded with superstars, while Maradona's '86 WC win and his Serie A stint with Napoli didn't have quality all throughout the team. He carried both those teams and like -25- said, playing in Europe and winning titles there is always a greater achievement than doing so with the likes of New York. That 1000+ goal tally is a bit dodgy as well, considering many of them were scored in friendlies and non-official matches, much like Romario. In fact, some observers of that time rate the likes of Garrincha and Jairzinho above Pele.
  4. Link Always game for a soundbyte eh?
  5. I see him going to United and taking over from Giggs.
  6. Ibra is an absolute beast, a bit inconsistent but pure quality when on form. Daniel Alves is an exceptional player and pretty much the best RB in the world (his overall game is better than Maicon), though a bit of a turd behaviour wise. Nasri can be world class if he moves to his favoured playmaker role currently occupied by Fabregas. I think Essien has sadly become overrated because he's living off his reputation. He's regressed a lot during the past couple of years.
  7. "Because I can" Gotta love Mario
  8. Injured or not, we need this guy and should be first in line if he's available for that price. He's an absolute gem and I don't want us to miss out on his best years.
  9. Anyone with links to the goals?
  10. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2011/apr/25/fernando-torres-chelsea-west-ham-united Bingo.

  14. Ah yes, how could I forget VdV?
  15. The best : -Javier Hernandez (Man Utd) -Rafael Van der Vaart (Tottenham) -Yaya Toure (Man City) -Asamoah Gyan (Sunderland) -Raul Meireles (Liverpool) -David Luiz (Chelsea) The worst : -Stephen Ireland(Aston Villa) -James Milner (Man City) -Sebastien Squillaci (Arsenal) -Joe Cole (Liverpool) -Bebe (Man Utd)
  16. I think they're similar in style. Drogba has more to his game in wider areas but it's not his best position, obviously. I personally don't like him being played wide, it takes away so much from his natural game and throws our attack off balance. He's better off as the focal point upfront but unfortunately the dearth of wingers in the squad forces him to come short or run the channels. Torres doesn't have the brute power of Drogba but is surprisingly strong he is extremely brave and doesn't shy away from putting his head and leg in where it hurts. We're better off playing one or the other as the centre forward, I think the two of them together fail to become greater than the sum of their parts, which is essentially what you're looking for in a lethal strike partnership.
  17. Play one or the other, they're too similar to be out on the pitch together. I'd stick with 4-3-3, Ramires for Essien being the only change.
  18. From my facebook : Has Fernando Torres scored for Chelsea? FUCK YES
