  1. Bingo. Building from the back - no more lumping it up to Drogba and hoping for the best. Good stuff.
  2. Too many things wrong there : 1. They call him 'influential' 2. They call him a 'playmaker' :giggle: 3. £12 million? ffs we should bite their hand off!
  3. Alex didn't train today and won't be available along with Josh. Everyone else is available. So the backline picks itself then : Bosingwa-Ivan-Terry-Cole Only real questions about Malouda/Zhirkov and which two out of Torres/Drogba/Anelka.
  4. Blues News : Josh picked up a knock in the reserve game, should be fit for youth cup semi, but not available against United tomorrow along with Alex.
  5. This guy would seriously get lumps kicked out of him in England.
  6. Torres-Anelka for me. More mobility, more fluidity, greater threat. Anelka drops deep and takes his marker along with him, opens up space for Torres and the likes of Lampard. Drogba on the bench, to provide a different kind of option if it's not going well.
  7. Yep, deliberate time wasting towards extra time. (refusing to take kicks and all).
  8. Busquets and Valdes picked up deliberate yellow cards against Villareal so that they would miss out against Almeria and be available against Real the game after. Both were on a yellow before this game. Typical cheating twats.
  9. I'm sorry but comparing Drogba and Malouda is laughable. Even with all his hissy fits, pouting and drama queen antics, Drogba has done more for the club than Malouda can ever hope to. Like somebody mentioned before, Malouda has had a sum total of about 12 good months here since he arrived, I don't need to tell you Drogba's been much much better and well worth the £24 million we paid for him. And yes, Drogba became a 'superstar' because of the performances he's put in over the years, not because somebody simply decided to give him that title. Chelsea legend forever.
  10. Guardian ........................................................................................................................................................................ I have to admit, I was a bit annoyed when he came up with all the 'I'd swim to Real if I had it my way' talk before he went. But after reading this, my respect for the man has grown very much. Best of luck at Real, Riccy. (Obviously not against us in the final though )
  11. Welcome to the forum! Stick around, we've got a great community here (and a couple of Estonians as well! )
  12. Small club resorting to attention grabbing antics.
  13. Ballack = footballing great, even though thick-headed nutters will always refer to him as a 'nearly-man'. Scolari = loud mouth bitter idiot who fluked it with by far the most talented national side on the planet at the time.
  14. No. The downsides have been mentioned already, so pointless repeating them. One other major disadvantage for me atleast is that he's quite predictable. Mazy run, cutting inside and getting the shot away - Robben in a nutshell.
  15. Love the chat feature Jim One thing if you're worried about it taking away from forum activity - why not enable it for a few hours on non-match days? The forum is pretty inactive during certain times of the day when the British members are away. Maybe keep it open then?
  16. Me neither. But that's my order of preference if Roma don't win Scudetto Heck, anyone but Inter would do!
