  1. No please. We're trying to reduce the average age of the squad.
  2. I'm in. edit : Do I have to submit an article for consideration? I've written the Malouda, Essien, Anelka and Alex profiles for the site, but no issues if I need to.
  3. We have too many of those though ... 3 in a team is a luxury we can't afford.
  4. Pros : Still has the technical ability to cut it at this level Should settle quickly considering the number of Brazilians here and the fact that he's worked with Carlo (if he's still with us in August) Enables rotation Helps the Chelsea brand image Cons : Transfer or loan, massive wages either way No Premiership experience Doesn't have the legs anymore Susceptible to frequent and lengthy injuries (and with our medical record, this is a major disadvantage) Heralds a return to the dreaded diamond/christmas tree 29 yo, not exactly a signing for the future (n/a if on loan) No for me.
  5. I'm betting on West Ham.
  6. Agreed he tends to repeat mistakes, but everyone deserves another chance. His contract is up anyway, no harm in letting him continue and get a shot and turning it around, especially considering it saves us a cool 6m £. And no, I wouldn't say that about our youth players.
  7. Isn't it funny how we're quick to criticize Carlo for not giving youth chances? The argument given then is how will they ever develop if not given chances, (and I agree 1000%). By the same logic, how is Carlo supposed to come good if you want him sacked after 1 bad season? Hypocrisy at it's best.
  8. 05-06, the gold patches were brilliant!
  9. Wrong, Kalou > them both combined.
  10. Fair play. And guys all these points from both sides have been repeated over and over again, let's wait and watch what happens
  11. Sorry my bad ... didn't show up when i searched though...
  12. Really don't know anything about him, does anyone?
  13. He wants both from the looks of it. We simply have to stop firing managers every time we have a bad season. Agreed 100%, we need a move away from our current style and actually get some players in who'll complement the main man that has to be Torres and then take it from there.
  14. Our current team is built around Drogba and Lampard. Look how malaria and Lampard's injury played a part this season. They're 33, we can't play around them anymore. There's no point in buying a 50 million pound striker if we're going to continue trying to mould him in someone else's style and hope for the best.
  15. He said in an interview he's going into real estate after retirement.
  16. Even I wouldn't sign for less than that.
  17. Oh fuck .... Please no. This means the return of the diamond.
  18. Building a team around Torres not only takes Drogba out of the game, it takes his and our style of play out the game, meaning there's not much room for Lamps either, well in my view anyway. I love both the guys but when it's time, it's time.
  19. I would gladly donate once I get a proper job, but circumstance doesn't allow me to until then.
  20. Because Torres is the future and the team should be built around him. If Drogba wants to accept that he's no longer the main man here, then he should stay as a squad player.
  21. Don't agree about the academy part, Neil Bath is doing an excellent job. Zola in a mentor sort of role - yes please.
  22. ^Some painful images to look at there. What could have been ....
