  1. Just got back now..partied heartily. what a game. it was worth going 2-1 down and discovering that Tottenham fans were there too just to see the way we responded. Mata sensational. plenty of players had great games but Mata had one of the best performances i`ve seen in 30 years of watching the Chels. us naughty boys in the corner destroyed them with our vocal chords and our boys on the field struck like Cobras. so pleased Mata was overlooked by the Spanish national side..he got the rest he needed and what a way to come back from it! 2nd on my all time favorite trips to WHL only to the 6-1 win there with Flo`s hatrick!
  2. i used to go out with a Pauline i`m glad to say she wasn`t a ho tho or that would be too weird..it still tickles me when i hear Nanny/Nani`s name in commentary e.g "Nani has taken a heavy fall " i automatically think oh she`s gonna need a new hip now..lol i know i`m a 36 year old teenager.
  3. great idea, great person to do it.,you can entertain a kid for hours by just pulling funny faces and Dave makes even me laugh sometimes with his funny goofy ways,is only when they go through the "Kevin & Perry phase" they can be hard work with but that`s often with parents, some teachers if they sense a weakness,be cool to others not so close to them tho..not all teenagers are bad of course but i think even nice kids go through phases. i was a lil cunt by my own admission to be honest. imagine how blown away those kids would be by just watching him with a ball teaching them all his magical skills..i grew up in the same street as a lad who was playing for Luton Town when they were a good side in the old top flight before the premiership in the mid to late 80`s,winning the Milk Cup..he was only a young player on the fringes of the 1st team and never became a regular but i thought this lad was insanely skillfull when playing him in the street,i can`t imagine what seeing someone like Luiz at close hand would have been like for me when i was say 12 and thought the sun shone out of Colin Pates` arse! haha
  4. depending on where in Scotland he lives it`s quicker to get a flight from say the east coast of the United States to the bridge than it is to travel from Scotland on public transport. to go to West London from Wick, up at the top of Scotland is a 12-14 hour train ride for example.
  5. i don`t think i would...being a football manager is not a 5 minutes a day job. to be good in management without it burning you out you need to learn to switch off from whatever it is you are trying to manage. i`ve never been a coach or a manager but i`ve been a leader of men in other walks of life.
  6. it`s a mystery for me too but it may be nothing sinister and Roberto just wanting to go easy on him..he hasn`t been at full strength for a few months as far as i can see..yes he`s played some decent games for England but lil cameos against international teams whom with all due respect to them if they were club sides with the exact same players they wouldn`t be a premiership side. it seems like you either get branded a player lover or a player hater. but for me i`d rather stay out of all that and say..he has great potential,he is a good young player,he is improving,...i`m not gonna make any predictions on how good he can be,it`s upto him really..i have been more impressed with his right foot in recent times..it was unbelievable to me how so badly one footed he was and despite Man City having what from the outside looks a pretty good youth set up,they have failed him by not being able to help him work on that right foot more at an earlier age. hopefully he will be 100% fit and healthy sometime soon and he can work himself into more playing minutes
  7. that would be about 27 players by my calculations..i think they have already done that..
  8. quite a few ot those are out on loan out of the under 21`s ,so it`s a tad misleading.. lot`s of quality on the books at the club tho. i`m sure more than 10% will make it tho Artinho, more than that already have..
  9. welcome. i`d get tickets for any game you can if i was you. as for the big games it`s hard to get tickets unless you have a season ticket or are a true blue member. i`m a season ticket holder but where as i used to be able to get tickets for others in the 80`s and 90`s it`s alot more difficult now. the Matthew Harding stand lower and Shed end lower is usually the best place to sit for atmosphere, although other places step up their game and can match them sometimes, you can rely on those parts of the ground to be up for it at any game. that is where the hardcore go. you would be lucky to get a ticket in those areas tho. although for viewing the game you are better off getting higher up if you want to have a good view of the entire pitch. around the middle of the east upper is the best place i`d say for this.although in 31 years of going i can`t remember ever being in the west stand so can`t say much about that. if you get a seat in the east upper towards the back of the stand on the side near the MHS then you may not be able to see whose taking the corner kicks on the far side near the shed end on your flank of the pitch, but that`s the only restricted viewing i`ve had at the bridge that is the seatings fault. there`s always the chance of having some mammoth of a man being infront of you ofcourse or a giant flag being passed around etc..but that doesn`t tend to happen so much in the East upper.
  10. i would have took Lewandowski in a heartbeat this summer once Lukaku`s loan had been agreed... i`ll reserve judgement till the next transfer window on if we should sign him then or not.or any other striker for that matter..if we had to decide today,i`d say we should sign no CF in the winter window, but we`ll see when it comes..lots can change in the time between now and then.
  11. Samsung takin` us for a ride` .we should have stuck with Bai Lin Tea!
  12. we have all seen him play better games last season than we have this..he`s clearly to me not at his best at the moment. that may or may not be related to the jaw injury that made him miss the Euro`s. not only the time missed but some jaw injuries can effect your balance. a slightly dislocated jaw totally derailed the career of Paul Hughes after it lead to so many other injuries before it was discovered. i know the medical staff are aware of Gary`s jaw injury but even now he`s been cleared to play it still may have a negative effect on his current play. he`ll be back to his best and maybe even better before too long tho i`m sure.
  13. i applaud the club for the stand they are making,in the present and the long run they are doing the best for Chelsea football club in sending Malouda to train with the youth players. they tried to do the best for Malouda too but he didn`t want to give up his big salary here. how is this better for the present and the best for chelsea in the long run? well he plays LM/LW. where we have Hazard/Marin and when they are out Bertrand/Mata..all four can offer us more for this season and the future.why should they give up game time for somebody who was worthy a few years back? some say it sends out the wrong message to the rest of the squad..why would keeping somebody who isn't good enough anymore send out the right message to the squad? after they made it clear to a player that he was no longer needed and tried to offload him,Malouda dragged his heels and prevented the club from offloading him. what message does that send out to the players..in particular players like Lampard who is getting close to the exit door himself?..they are giving out the message that when you are no longer needed and it`s in the clubs best interest to sell you, this is what will happen. if the club buckled and kept Malouda in the first team squad it would make them look weak, like "player power" rules the roost. that is what has been said about Chelsea in the past and when that has come to the fore we have had by our recent standards poor seasons which have cost the managers/coaches their jobs. Roman is backing the manager ahead of "star players" like it always should have been. that`s the message that it sends out and it`s the best they could have done..Malouda has made this situation look ugly for some. he should have took the "you are no longer part of the clubs plans" as his cue for the exit door. Levy was called a cunt for holding Modric to his contract last year against his wishes...Malouda is holding the club to his contract against their wishes this year..
  14. @ xPetrCechx GQ stands for Gentlemen`s Quarterly. it is a long running U.S created men`s fashion and culture magazine that`s sold through many other countries now including England. i think it`s been in circulation in the states since around the time of the Great Depression. it`s not that special an award really..hence why Branislav`s reaction is so funny.
  15. i reckon he`s just chipped the varnish on his toe nails and Jose didn`t display enough empathy so he`s having a diva fit.
  16. being too sentimental about players who have brought past glories but can no longer produce the goods has been the downfall of Liverpool,AC Milan and to a lesser degree Newcastle. it`s what they can offer now and in the future which should dictate if they stay within the first team squad. that`s the mentality of teams that remain at the top for a long time have. they tried to sell him,he dragged his feet to block the move,it`s on him that he finds himself training with the youngsters.
  17. Branislav is funny in that video. it`s also funny how short Ashley looks amongst those big boys.i know he`s not tall but looks like someone who should be in The Borrowers.
  18. i hate it when someone speaks clear English and they still use English subtitles..
  19. it has seemed for quite some time that he was no longer needed. when the club tried to sell him he came out and said he would definately be at chelsea for this season. well he is here,so be happy flo. he`s being paid weekly more than the majority of us gets in a year to kick a football around with kids. there has been too many players here in recent years who think they have a devine right for special treatment when their play no longer warrants it. if i was being forced to pay his wages when i wanted to sell him but he chose to drag his feet so he could continue to get paid and prevent me from getting money in return for him..i wouldn`t give him the honour of being allowed at Cobham. he`d be clearing out my pool every morning, weeding my garden and shining my shoes. he made his own bed. now he`ll have to sleep in it.
  20. i doubted he would ever make it with us. not based on his own game just he kept on proving himself on loan and time and time again he would be shipped back out,he was ready for this atleast 2 years ago imo hats off to Ryan for being so determined that he was gonna make it with CFC that he did against the odds. not all our youngsters have been able to do that. hats off to Roberto for having the balls to play him ahead of Malouda in such a crucial game as the European cup final. i think it`s pretty clear now that the battle between Bertrand and P.V.A. has been won by Ryan and if Patrick makes it here it`s either as Ryans deputy or at another position. not so long ago it looked like a battle that could go either way.
  21. as i had stated on the first page of this thread it was said by Jeff Stelling on Soccer Saturday.the fact that D.D`s P.R. company came out and made a statement denying the rumours clearly shows that there were rumours out there to deny, rather than myself just making it up. only lil cry babies would say members should be banned for something as minor as reporting on what they had heard on a t.v sports show. if sharing rumours heard that turn out to be untrue at this time is a banning offence then many more members would have been banned before me.
  22. i`m more concerned about the ref bottling it like Foy did last year than any of our players. can`t wait for us to get back to meaningful football...
  23. i saw what truechelseablue is talking about,. he had diskoviolente`s avator (the morrisey wearing an oscar wilde t-shirt pic) and vice versa. somebody else had dv`s usual avator on that thread anyway..might be a seperate issue i dunno..
  24. Ray Mears is a nature survival expert who has his own shows that are quite popular in the u.k always good to see that goal again tho. gotta love Rami..switch back to a 4-3-3 permanently (or atleast till we get more players suited to another formation) and we be sorted with what we have got.
  25. for folks saying we should have sold Malouda instead. it takes three parties to agree a deal. the buying club, the selling club and the player! and Malouda has decided he`d rather rot for a season and collect his salary than play football.
