  1. I'm sure Real were, Zidane being a known admirer. Perhaps not Bayern back then, but I wouldn't rule Barcelona out.
  2. Didn't watch yesterday's game - But I do reiterate what I've said before in this thread. I would love to see if Sterling could solve our problems on the RW, he's got more end product than Willian. But he's simply too expensive, shame really..
  3. God that save felt good!! We know Courtois has been brilliant thus far at the other side of goal keeping, his commanding of the box, catching the ball, organising defence etc. But it's so good to see these superman saves that De Gea always gets credit for lmao.
  4. Another to be sold for profit in 2-3 years
  5. Yep, World Cup year is almost a killer for players in that kind of bracket.. Unsure if they'll progress. I'd like to think if it was this year then he would've stayed and fought.
  6. I think the problem regarding De Bruyne was lack of patience. Clearly he wasn't willing to wait around for his opportunity.. I guess that's up to him and it has worked out. Though I'm sure when he looks at our deficiencies on the right-wing he may think "what if.."
  7. That's a shame to be honest. He could've had a good run playing Liverpool then Bradford, I do imagine he'll play the latter though.
  8. You could take that to get Hazard printed on the back, couldn't you?
  9. We did. Then we got Ballack and Essien and won more than Gerrard ever has or will
  10. It's pretty outrageous mate. We're secure at the back, while you say Cech has 5-6 years the point is that Courtois offers us double that and then some. To let go of one our finest players to fill a position where we can find talent elsewhere isn't good business. Especially when Reus costs £20m.It doesn't matter about Real. We're very good at player negotiations. We prized Hazard away from the biggest clubs in Europe with our direction and vision.. The same can be done for Reus. If he really wants to go to Madrid then let him go. He'll be surrounded by competition that he may not even be able to get past, but it's his prerogative. We shouldn't negotiate with Real to get them to back off from Reus. Offering them Cech makes more sense tbh, but we shouldn't even entertain such ideas.
  11. As did I xD I loved when he took Joey Barton apart on Twitter
  12. Yep, I think only an offer too good to refuse will force Mourinho to sell the lad and bring someone in as cover (not Reus as some members insist on). Salah has to bide his time. We're seeing Mourinho use Remy now as one of 'automatic substitutes' and Salah could do the same if he continues to bide his time and work well in training. If that won't happen then I'm sure Mou won't have any complaints about letting him leave in summer.
  13. Tapatalk is also a good alternative - Despite my detest of their latest update lmao.
  14. I think 'sinking ship' is a bit harsh. They've still got a good team, players like Baines, Coleman, Besic, Barkley et al are very good players. They're low on confidence at the moment and seem unable to create goals which they were very good at last season. Martinez is being tested big time this season - He must prove he's a level above what he was doing at Wigan. That Wigan side infuriated me because they would cost along every season in a relegation scrap and then put together good performances at the end of the season to survive by a whisker. Martinez must not let the same happen to Everton.
  15. The fundamental difference between the critiques of Oscar as compared to Willian, Salah, Mikel etc are that no-one is saying that Oscar should be sold or dropped indefinitely or anything of that nature. Most of us really do want Oscar to do well and no-one has taken anything away from the goals and assists he's provided to us this season. The critiques are calls for improvement, not resting our judgements on him never to look back. As I keep saying, Mourinho is probably working on all these negatives aspects and helping Oscar become the world beater he should be. It may not even take long. When that happens, praise will go to Oscar for consistent class.
  16. I like him as a player. He had a good world cup and though he didn't start well at Everton he is proving to be one of their better players in this bad rut Everton are in. A few season more, developing the way he is, and I can see him making a move higher up.
  17. Yeah true. Even if the reasons weren't out of principle for Terry and Gerrard staying where they are, the fact is they did. Never again did either try to engineer moves away to 'bigger' clubs which does deserve respect. Particularly in Gerrard's case.
  18. The only shirt I have left that fits properly is the 2010 one with Lampard on it I do wear it when watching Chelsea play at the pub or with friends - But I will need to replace that soon enough xD
  19. Apologies, I re-read and understood what you intended But yeah I agree with you on your premise on that post. I do have to reiterate, I do like Oscar.. At the age of 23 he still has a while to go before we can say he's at his peak. It's the consistency that I have the most frustrations with him. In Costa, Hazard, Fabregas, Oscar and Willian we do have a formidable attack. As you said Chelsea Legend 11, it depends on Mourinho's tactics. Though I do find it hard to look past Mourinho overlooking Oscar in the 'big games'. The good thing, it doesn't look like Oscar has frustrated Mourinho, which means he must be responding to Mou's instructions in training. I don't think it's long before we see Oscar step it up to the level we'd expect from a player occupying the position he plays. I still think we did right by selling Mata and making Oscar one of the focal points of our attack.
  20. Lmao I definitely share your discontent for Hollywood. Last year alone we saw multiple releases of movies where "The white house" came "under attack" from all sorts of stereotypical enemies. North Korea in Olympus Has Fallen for example Hollywood has always been a massive propaganda machine, it's surprising more people and concious to this!
