That goal. That sent us to the Champions League. Which Abramovich bought us, based on.
That other goal. Monaco 2004.
Thing is. Kezman came to us with a fantastic record in the Eredivisie.. 105 in 122 [according to Wiki] . So the gamble was one to take at the time, Jimmy had to leave to make room.
Totally agree. Loved him. Every goal he scored, every assist he provided. That amazing partnership with Gudjohnsen. But it was his time to go, I don't think he would've reached the heights we'd expect in 2004/05. Better to go when you're on a high.
Okay fair enough. But at the same time, there should not be a man who decides all the transfers without the managers input at all then does not deliver the players the manager would like. Like Valdano did, when Mourinho requested a striker (when Higuain was out) Valdano said no. Benzema was not firing at all and Raul was gone. It's only when Mou went to Perez that Adebayor was brought on loan. You make a good point about managers being incapable. But there must be a line drawn between managers & the people who provide the funds to make sure the manager can even use the players lined up. Something that's not happening at our club..
Hang on, why's that classless? I wish more managers would do this. Look at Sir Alex, he would never have someone dictate to him which transfers he should make.. He has 100% input, as should all managers.
He's Turkish mate From what I've seen, he's a great player! A powerhouse, with speed and vision. Will be a great addition to our squad if he we see him fit to.
Indeed. That's for Kun to decide what he's actually moving for. Benzema rebuffed Arsenal rumours saying he wants to stay at Real apparently. Higuain did want to move, but after the season he had in 2009-10, I'd doubt that. He's guaranteed to start games for them so I don't see him moving now. It's really up to Aguero to be honest. He'd have final say.
