  1. The mobile version is also much improved, live notification system works on there just the same!
  2. What happened to him? Tuned in after Pedro came on..
  3. Bolasie and Cabaye being out might mean we actually have a chance here - Palace's home form isn't that great, so we have a chance.
  4. Isn't this the guy Lazio want if (when) they don't get Zouma?
  5. I actually feel sorry for him to be honest. It really is tragic to see such a powerful and effective player become obsolete and a slave to his own injuries.
  6. Nah come on, I don't buy that. I'll criticise Mourinho on decisions he's made as much as the next person, but there seems to be now a culture on here to literally blame him for everything going wrong this season and it's getting tedious. Yes, personnel wise he made wrong choices. Kevin being the most prominent.. But the players take just as much blame for not emerging as leaders through this process. I'm not going to elaborate too much because even this argument is just as tedious! But there was a time, not too long ago, where we struggled to play this 'attacking football' brand. Long before Mourinho, when we had signed Oscar, Hazard, Mata, De Bruyne and Lukaku. Only Benitez, just about, made the trio of Mata, Hazard and Oscar work! But at the same time, he also dropped Terry and so we never even had leaders at that point either. The fact is, Mourinho's decision to bring back Drogba in 2014 and reinstate Terry was key in us winning the title. Drogba, then, chose to leave and Terry's decline became more and more evident. So while you say we had a 'clear direction or idea' I strongly disagree. It was the same old, same old.. Buy some flare players and see what happens.
  7. Bit late for that tbh. We've seen Lampard, Drogba, Mourinho and now Terry labelled 'shit'.
  8. It's hard not to like Spurs this year, usually I have no trouble hating them.. But I actually rate Pochettino and a lot of the players now featuring for Spurs. Still hate the club with a passion but there's no denying they're exciting to watch. Don't want them to win the title, but it'd be interesting to see them develop by qualifying for the CL.
  9. I would have thought Ramires signing a contract extension would seemingly be the end of Mikel. Stood up for him loads and do genuinely like the guy, but we're past sentiment now and he is just taking up a space that should be occupied by either a youth player or someone better.. Guus is going to give him third third/fourth lease on life at Chelsea - this much is evident. I hope it's more of a case of him going on a high as opposed to prolonging the inevitable.
  10. For some reason or another, he keeps missing his opportunity to play here when it present itself. So perhaps he will have better luck at Villa.
  11. It's not really as easy as 'buy some leaders' though. Leaders emerge playing within the team for a while, the ones who actually take straight to the club and fans. A lot of the players we buy are coming from different leagues and set ups. You can buy all the Ibras and Silvas etc, but leaders can emerge anywhere. As Ossie said, we have to hire leaders first to inspire players. Who knows, Zouma could be a leader under the right manager.
  12. I hope this does have the required effect. But I hope Drogba goes in an absolutely skins them first a foremost. As a fan like us, he's got to be appalled with the lack of 'performance' from most of these guys. Then he can go about doing whatever it is he's been brought in for. Whether it's hugging, joking or actually coaching.
  13. http://metro.co.uk/2015/12/29/7-reasons-why-arsenal-should-re-sign-chelseas-cesc-fabregas-5589506/ I was going to laugh this off straight away - But I want to know what you guys think.
  14. In the broad sense, yeah the money from Mata, KdB, Lukaku & Luiz did go far to fund our acquisitions that you've mentioned. But we've seen that again, lack of vision and foresight by the club means we are looking back on the sales of these guys with deeper regret than usual. In a nutshell; we decided to buy band-aids, by selling bandages.
  15. Mr 2 steps forward, 1 step back? Debatable. I made the same case for Ramires tbf, should've played instead of Mikel.
  16. Agree with that, but to play alongside him. I don't think he's as bad as you make out nor is he as good as others have made out. Like Henrique said, the gulf in difference between himself and Cahill is grossly exaggerated. But the boy's got potential, undeniable potential. He's the best of a current crop of diminishing talent in terms of that and he has improved ever so slightly on a game-to-game basis. He is still only 21..
  17. Euros or Pounds, still a big amount of money. Our failure came in not reinvesting that on another world-class CB there and then.
  18. What a disappointment sale this was, but I don't think anyone can disagree with the club for accepting ยฃ50m for him. Everyone's got their price, that's football.
  19. But he is looking for another striker, hot rumour of them going for Rhodes again in Jan. http://the72.co.uk/42865/middlesbrough-boss-aitor-karanka-weighing-move-jordan-rhodes/
  20. After seeing this time and time again on the Torres thread, this is by far my least favourite phrase in football now
