Did anyone really expect him to kick out the old guard this summer? I mean seriously? As it is we employed him late into summer, he then said he needed time to evaluate the squad. What, a pre-season tour is enough to get a good valuation? As far as he's concerned, this was the same time that won back-to-back titles between 05-07. After 12 games people are saying they doubt his credentials? Sorry, so were Chelsea, Liverpool, Roma ect all mistaken in his potential? If he was at any other club everyone would cry he needs time. Yep, especially when these players have no re-sale value now. Drogba, Anelka & Kalou will probably walk on a free this summer (hopefully!). Who's actually going to replace them? We had a chance for Aguero and acted too late. Neymar? For like £54million + £250k/week? No way.

John Terry gave our defence, for the last 11 years, a strong leader. Before him Desailly did this job, very effectively. In fact John often credits Marcel for that experience and education, not only did he teach him to be a defensive leader, but a captain. The same should be happening now. But who's ready to step-up? Now you all see why we're going for Gary Cahill (who might not be the right choice - but the principle of why he's a target is obvious). Ivanovic at CB is a big no for me because he's a better RB.
