  1. Good analysis Sloth. I think you're right and reflecting what we've said before, we need wingers. It's not like we're not trying though. Hazard, De Bruyne, Mata <- All wingers. I'm sure this isn't the end of our chases for such players. Good, if we're not. Bring back our voice at Stamford Bridge, all I kept hearing today was the 'You'll Never Walk Alone' anthem.
  2. Why not with RDM? Anyway I don't think that's happening any time soon. I'm pretty sure, there was an argument with Abramovich that led up to that.
  3. I hope Bertrand is keeping himself as fit as he can. Villas-Boas saw Bosingwa's failings and made the call for Ivanovic to step-up. He will, perhaps, do the same for Ash.
  4. It does look tough at the moment, especially with the unbalanced team. However we're only 3 months in, into Villas-Boas' tenure. Progress is hard to see, but I'm pretty sure André is working hard to correct these. Give it a bit longer, it's not easy to try and implement a new tactic into a squad to used to the old system. That's why cohesion is hard to see, but have faith he does not take this lightly.
  5. Exactly. He was much more effective than Torres would've been at all. You're making excellent analytical points today.. Good to see some composure amongst the hysteria.
  6. Yep, Malouda doesn't make it easy at all. Ash's pace has reduced over the last few years, especially with the amount of games he plays. I think Van Aanholt would make a fantastic left-winger.. His pace and crossing is very good! And being a left-back, he'd understand the importance of tracking back.
  7. Against Arsenal and now Liverpool, we've been ripped apart on that right-hand side. Ashley Cole is a bit of a concern at the moment.
  8. Even Liverpool fans know he's the main brains behind Dalglish
  9. Jamie Redknapp is speaking well now. André must be given time to make this team his own. It's only been 3months.. 12 games. Haha, why we let him rot at West Ham, I'll never know! Who's decision was that even?
  10. I believe the pass was fine. Cech made the pass before that many times & it was fine. This time Adam chased a long way, so you're right that Cole should've made the shout too.
  11. It was a game of tactics. I don't think our tactics were as awful as when we played Arsenal. The shape in the 2nd half was very good.. Liverpool were prepared in a better way though. Hold our hands up and say, they were tactically better. It's a learning curve here.. Kenny & Steve have invaluable experience, André & Roberto do not. Time is key.
  12. We were 7th this time, last season. We came back to 2nd. Keep a bit of perspective here.. Of course we have aims and such. And this is humiliating because of the teams we've suffered against. Let's not lose sight of the bigger picture though!
  13. Yeah. A real hard one to swallow.. We can only hope to get our revenge next week. Excellent analysis. People called Carlo's season a 'transitional' but that was wrong. This really is one because Villas-Boas is laying down the foundations. He's committed to his way of the game and he isn't bowing to the pressures of the old system. That's how you teach your system, you keep at it and the players will adapt. Of course it'll never be perfect, but 'time' is a commodity he deserves. -- Jamie Redknapp is an idiot for saying it was wrong for Torres to be on the bench. Drogba played very wll.
  14. Happy with Villas-Boas leaving out Torres and Meireles for so long. Because Torres would've taken the spotlight and the football would've been forgotten. Which actually happened when they came on. Good call by him.
  15. We must learn to press as Liverpool did to us.. This is a sickening defeat, considering our domination of the second-half. We wanted transition, we said we'd be happy to sacrifice glory in order for a new era of Chelsea to be born, this is the period we must ride out.
  16. Sturridge is coming on. Good days ahead..
  17. My recommendation Cech Ivanovic - Luiz - Terry - Cole Ramires - Meireles - Lampard Mata Anelka - Drogba
  18. I miss the days when Liverpool feared us. The opposite seems to be true now. Attack On the plus side, I'm glad Drogba's bothering now. He's giving Skrtel & Agger the run around, but no-one latching onto the second ball. I think Anelka should be brought on to do this, because Drogba's doing well to be the target man. Mata's doing well with his movement, and he's doing well with Ivanovic. At least the threat down the left-hand side isn't great. We do need to up the tempo, but not misplace our passes because we're being done on the counter. Defence It's worrying. Ashley Cole & Florent Malouda are being annihilated again, just as Arsenal were a threat there. It's really worrying. Mikel.. He had a mistake, enough said. David Luiz is doing his best to stay disciplined, I've seen improvement from him so I am not complaining too much. John Terry is worrying me.. He's slipping too much, on more than 1 occasions.
  19. Souness is a nutcase. What an awful pundit.. Get an ex-Chelsea rep in there!!
  20. Sturridge took a knock in training on Thursday or Friday. His exclusion should be no surprise..
  21. Let's hope the chase isn't over.. Though essentially, if you assume they'd beat Everton, Tottenham lie in a higher position than us.
  22. Depends on the type of players he'd bring in. The most popular rumours suggest Cahill & Hazard.
