  1. Just for the sake of seeing another point of view (not mine) we could look at it this way; If Mourinho sees Terry as not being pertinent to the squad any more, Monaco would be an attractive project for Terry. Remember it was Ranieri who first gave Terry his debut and integrated him into the squad when Terry began to rise as a Chelsea regular. Yes, Mourinho made him permanent captain but it was actually Tinkerman who first assigned him the armband in Desailly's absence. It wouldn't be the most illogical move in the world. Not to mention the idea of making around £200,000/week, tax free at his age for a year
  2. The treble. And if he fails to retain in the season next.. SACK HIM
  3. You're over hyping his abilities imo. I've watched Watford quite often (not just for Chalobah) and though he has a presence about him and also good ability on the ball I think he's at risk from suffering a Phil Jones-affect. Where he's deployed in so many positions that as Roy Keane said he's a "jack of all trades, master of none". I'm 100% that Chalobah's best position is center back. I think he reading of the game is much better when he's playing at the back line and what more is, he's a traditional English type center back (defending which I've never understood why it's slated).
  4. Agreed. He's been a center-back most of his career and is capable of playing DM but it's not his natural position. He's a ball-playing center-back which is always useful, but that's not a reason to "Luiz" him.
  5. As a man of Kenyan roots, I'd love this to happen
  6. Lol, so you all don't want him because you have a personal issue with him? I think he'd flourish in our squad because he's a class footballer and he's very versatile. He's shown at Barcelona he can play anywhere in midfield and he's very sound technically. I don't really care if he's a cunt, I'm not marrying him, I'm watching him improve the team through football.
  7. They're technically a 'fanzine' so they have more weight (in essence),
  8. Isn't Navas like majorly prone to homesickness?.. Didn't that stop him signing in '06?
  9. Except unlike Barcelona, we're stupid enough not to implement buy-back clauses! Lmao
  10. Which is smart. Just ask Wenger & Van Persie lol
  11. If anyone's surprised that Chelsea will be the last to confirm Mourinho's return, have you been living under a rock?
  12. Lmao, I thought he 'signed a contract on Tuesday'. Smh..
  13. Oh come off it. At the end of the day, if Suarez was one of our players we'd be bending over backwards trying to defend him. You know how I know this? From the way we constantly remained in denial, as Chelsea fans, about what Terry said. Lmao, people denied his words even though JT admitted to using them ffs! At the end of the day, this is football. It doesn't matter how much you hate a player on a personal level. The fact is, we're fickle, if we signed Suarez and he scored 30-40 goals for us in that same season, we'd hail him like a messiah. And don't tell me I'm wrong, because I've seen it time and time over. Football is a fickle sport. A scent of success and we'll change our minds instantly.
  14. I guess. I'm just very skeptical when headlines come across and say 'Official'.
  15. That's my point though, it's The Sun lmao!
  16. He wins games, doesn't he? (not that I think Suarez is what we need, I'm just sayin')
  17. Who hasn't? I mean this can't be coincidence mate, this was published about 15minutes ago.. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/4947332/Jose-Mourinho-is-Chelseas-new-boss-and-thats-official.html
  18. He wouldn't be allowed to leak such information if he was that close to José and Chelsea. He's simply reporting what everyone else is saying and that's primarily coming from The Sun tonight.
  19. Lol, this is a Twitter story and their source is The Sun. -- And so it begins.
  20. My biggest problem with Roy Hodgson at the moment is, he seems to going through an identity crisis of just how he wants England to play. He cant decide on the approach he wants us to actually take and so he's trying to fit his system around the players he's got instead of the other way round. He's got a good array of talent available to him (as good as can be..) but he needs to decide how he's going to use them. He needs to decide if his emphasis is on speed, direct play, long ball, wing play etc. Because if he's going for speed, then he needs be using a midfield that's capable of being quick enough to keep up with the likes of Walcott and Sturridge. He can't decide on his midfield or strike-force and that's showing because these players don't know what they're supposed to be doing. Walcott's unsure if he's meant to be on the wings, trying to cross it, or cutting inside and going for goal himself. Rooney is unsure as to whether he's supplying Defoe, or he's supposed to be the pinnacle of the attack. The problem is, we can't hope to do well in the Euro's and World Cup if there aren't friendlies for national coaches to find out. The back 4 is a huge problem, because again Roy's got an identity crisis. If everyone's fit he has the choice of; Walker, Johnson Cahill, Smalling, Jones, Jagielka, Lescott, Cole, Baines & Caulker. He doesn't know where to play Phil Jones or Smalling in the first place so as it stands we're looking at Walker - Jagielka - Cahill - Cole Though, personally, I think if he gets the positioning of the players right we'd be better with; Walker - Jones - Cahill - Cole I'd love for him to try a 3-4-2-1, using the center back trio of Cahill, Jones & Smalling. Using Baines and Walker as wing-backs because Walker is a defensive mess truth be told. Baines has the speed, agility and intelligence enough to play that role as well. My ideal England XI would definitely be; Hart Jones - Cahill - Smalling Walker ------- Carrick - Wilshere(/Gerrard)----------- Baines Walcott --------------------- Rooney Defoe
  21. Thankfully the Spanish season concludes this weekend and Mourinho will be released from his contract
  22. At the end of the day Pellegrini is still a gamble for Manchester City. Considering his successes have only been in Spain, thus far, he has a lot to prove if he can adapt his style to suit the Premier League. Whereas we're getting a coach that knows exactly how to coach in England.
