  1. Tbf to them, they have a net spend on 10mil. Did sell sane for 55m
  2. Why do you keep using forum MOTM votings as a criteria? Most fans would simply give goal scorers as MoTM with no regards to the performances around them. So obviously forwards will have far more "MoTM" awards than mids and defenders. If the 25% games were the first game of the season, and then puli had a dip, would we still say he should have got the POTY? Obviously I rate puli too, but imho, consistency takes the cake for me. Obviously people have different criterias, mine is this. Hence my vote goes to kova. Again with the "mount did nothing for so and so period". Are we serious about it. Because I honestly don't want to argue on such polarizing opinions specially when most fans accept that the same period is when we played our best football with mount being an integral part of a midfield 3.
  3. Hahhahaha. I am sure you meant "exactly that". I should somehow magically understand what "you meant" instead of answering to what you actually wrote. Just your regular drivel as usual. Stubborn as shit, despite being given proof again and again. Well there is a reason vesper is typing on a Chelsea forum, while pep, Eddie howe, ole and a lot of clubs and managers think that he is a quality CB worth spending multi million dollars on. Also, I was not comparing ake to Puyol and cannavaro. I was simply debunking an argument as stupid as "he is short, hence we should not buy'. Nothing with how good he is defensively, his positional awareness, his actual jumping makes his height a moot point. You even have a problem with Google and various sources listing his height as 180cm, but somehow have no problem using the same sources to make whatever ridiculous point you are trying to make most times
  4. Do you have a problem reading and understanding? "Ake will will never be on an EPL first team, I will just be shocked if he was " your words, not mine and post has been linked. And I am moving goal posts? Lol You said, he is a player from a relegated team so we should not buy.(simpleton thinking to say the least) I pointed out we bought GC. You said GC was PFA team of year I said all his nominations were post 2011 when he was bought by us. And you don't even answer it because you simply have no answer to your simplistic opinion. Next "oh ake is short" I give you the example of Puyol and cannavaro, and again you simply side step the issue. No comment, because well, pointless opinion. Then the fact that United and citu were/are interested in him and city havr actually bought him. Not even a cut price deal but proper 40m£ transfer. Again, nothing from you. Just keep bringing up 'oh but he is not a PFA team player'. Rubbish
  5. Sure mate. Whatever floats your boat. They can be good against arsenal, beat pool, but against us it HAS to be that "they were poor" 😂😂😂
  6. Lol. I cant judge if Watford were poor or we were good, but damn, look at the confidence and the super power that you have which can so easily make the correct assumption. But I like this - " We should play 2 no. 8s, will help us pin the teams back, exhibit A" "Exhibit A is invalid as the opposition Did not want to cross the half way line" Yeah sure, it was the first time Watford were playing a big team. Not like they beat Liverpool playing on the counter, right? 😂😂 Lol indeed.

  8. Hence why I talked about standardization. People's just pre-match rating can be affected by a generous and good mood because of a win, or a bad mood because of points dropped. A 6 in a defeat might actually be an 8 overall whereas a 7 in a win might actually be a 6. I did answer why kova is my POTY, infact even posted the link of a post that I made long before this thread. Consistency being the key. As for the 2nd question, Puli has been great since re-start, hence the recency bias might be creeping in. If anyone had said, "I vote for puli as our POTY", before the restart, I for one would not have taken him seriously cause let's be honest, he was average. He struggled a bit, maybe due to fitness or form or such a drastic change for a young Man, nothing that we did not expect or have not seen before. As for mount, he has been our trend setter, for me. Our main force in pressing and the perfect link between mid and attack. I have seen you raise the 5 months from october-feb, yet a lot of people claim that we played some of our best football in that period with mount-jorgimho-kova. Also, if I am willing to give a 60m puli a free pass with it being his first season, I need to give it to mount too, right? Point is, has he needed it, hell no for me. He has done what was expected out of him and then some and then some. He is the main stay of our team for a reason, and I can totally see why. Lastly regarding your point about 5 Chelsea players in ToTY. Legends are not made in an year. We were unwilling to afford talents like kdb and salah the time required to show their class. Not we want to do the same with mount? Youth integration is not a switch that you just "on" and your players become world class just because you gave them an oppurtunity. It requires patience and sometimes years of it. Before barca won the league in 08-09, they did not win any for 3/4 years. Cause they were setting up the building blocks for years to come with the likes of Iniesta, Xavi, Puyol etc.
  9. I feel he is better than any of our 4 options. Great on the ball too.
  10. EPL team of the year player and EPL first teamer are 2 very different things which I think you should say clearly. I mean if I say EPL first teamer, I am sure 99 out of 100 people will understand it to be plays in the first team for a PL club. Also, GC came to Chelsea in 2011-12, so him being in PFA team of the yrar, was a result of that. He was still just a player on a team that got relegated, same as ake. He did not have any pFA team of the year nominations at that point (2011). Also still does not change the whole scenario. 1. Ake is taller than puyol and cannavaro - so height should be zilch of the creiteria, specially for a player who jumps like a salmon 2. Being on a relegated team, argument is bogus to say the least 3. Ake is/was targetted by some of the best teams in Europe and by one of the best managers to have lived. All of that says a lot.
  11. Lol. Let's do it point by point. Mount did not start the whu game. Kova and kante did. So no we did not lose it due to 2 no. 8. Sure, the Watford game had nothing to do with us. So evrytime we fuck up, it's us, otherwise it's the other team, right? Perfectly logical conclusion. 😂😂 If the point was being "out of position" then performances against Watford proves otherwise. If the point was defensive nuance, then we have city. Otherwise you can keep changing your goal posts as and when it's suits your agenda.
  12. Oh please don't use facts against that poster. 😂
  13. I can probably anticipate his response "Hmmmm" "lololol". 😂 I mean honestly, how hard is it to understand what FL wanted us to do.
  14. Was just putting up a point to debunk the "he was on a relegated team" point. As for height he is 2cm taller than Puyol and 5cm taller than cannavaro. Ake is already an EPL first teamer, a main stay for Bournemouth, what are yiy even saying. A CB who ole went upto after the game and said, we need a left footed CB. A player who is bought by one of the best teams in Europe.
  15. Cahill was a player in a relegated pl team. Helped us win a CL.
  16. Why are the FA, PL clubs, English media so silent about it? Why are German tabloids doing all the work, why is Bayern owner speaking up or the la liga chairman speaking up, but no balls, no statements from any PL manager/owner except Jose. This is so fucked up. The level of incompetence (or just corruption if they bottled it on purporse) is baffling. The complete and total indifference of all PL clubs is even more baffling.
  17. Wait, you are saying majority people are wrong, but your brilliant "stats and real arguments" are based on the same majority people votings of MOTM and ratings. Well, this makes perfect sense now.😂😂 Also while we are on it, can we see the overall ratings of each player across the season. The correlation of average rating vs the result irrespective of player performance, etc etc. I am sure you would have standardized the ratings too, for eg - if mount is scored 5.9, but the max is 7, with the Average of 5, would not it actually make mount one of our better performers (stats, right?) I mean I am sure you would have taken all of that into consideration while making such a statement. Like I said, whatever floats your boat. Let's just agree to disagree.
  18. Lol. Sure Whatever floats your boat. Surprisingly most of fans on here have mount have in their top 3, so wellll.
  19. No the brilliant defensive performance agaubst man City. Did not I mention it specifically? Also "Watford did not venture out of their half". Was not that the premise of the argument of pinning lower teams in their own halves. Lolol. Hmmm. Just the way kdb is lazy right? Lololol
  20. Yeah, quite close after Kova. Regarding Kova, its such a shame. Despite being our best player, I still feel, he can be so much better. Literal beast mode.
  21. Lol. Did mount need kai, ziyech and werner to look good this season? No he did not. A top 2/3 based on performances for a team that finished 4th. I think that's good enough to be regarded as PL quality irrespective of his age and loan spells. So by your logic, lamps played 2 no. 8s at the start of the restart to accomodate whom? Barkley? Lol. Clearly it looks like lamps would like to play that way. We are going to be a top heavy team next season. Even in midfield options it seems we might have a lot more no.8s/10s than 6s (kai, rlc, mount ziyech vs kante, Gilmour with kova covering both departments.). So we might have to tweak ourselves correspondingly. Are we seriously comparing mount to Baker and barkley. Baker failed miserably in his championship loans. Whereas mount bossed it for derby too. I mean I can understand people makin this argument for Gallagher, but can't even take this comparison seriously.
  22. Nah. I think 80m€ is the market value and enough specially with corona. We are sticking to our guns knowing the player wants to come and it's in bayer's best interest to keep him happy so that he can give his best in Europa too.
