Every time he has a good game he follows it up with dire performances like tonight. But, to br fair, nobody is playing well tonight.
-
Arsenal might be shire, but when they put it together they look a class above us in attack.
-
That Zouma shot. See the Chelsea players just standing like statues.
-
Disagree! Should have been strongest side tonight and rest players on Saturday giving them 5 days rest before the next crucial league game. 3 points tonight is simply more important than winning another FA Cup. Now, we're probably going to have to play full strength against Leicester in the league and Villa too. TT has got it all wrong tonight.
-
Again tho, our top scorer has a feeble 6 fecking goals. Our misses chances have plagued us all season long and its to late to fix it now. No team can expect to get by game after game reyling on keeping clean sheets. No matter how well the team is playing and dominating, just one goal against us against even the shitiest of teams and we're in trouble.
-
I'd say its disgraceful rather than pathetic. Its like he thinks CL is already certain. If we blow CL football from here, them he'll have a lot of explaining to do to RA.
-
Yes, but with blindfolds on.
-
We very badly need a player in the middle who can thread a pass in tight areas in and around the box. Jorgi is not and never will be that player!
-
What the fuck was that ball again Jorgi?
-
For all the praise TT is getting, this is yet another game under him where we look absolute dogshit against teams that are midtable or worse. Arrogance from the manager and players thinking they can just turn and roll these teams over.
-
But what the fuck was Kepa doing so far to the left?
-
What made it so bad was him having so much space left or right of the keeper but went for the much more difficult place to score.
-
As bad as any Werner miss!
-
As expected, Arsenal are up for this and going to be hard to beat.
-
James nearly caught out there.
-
It's Kepa, so i worry about everything from a back pass to a shot from 50 yards.
-
No way will he be sacked if we get top four! Very few would have expected us to be in the CL final, so getting there has been a lfantastic bonus. Next season he'll be judged by how close we get to winning the league.
-
TT is wrong to see the Cup Final as more important than this game! No way should he rest by far the better keeper in such a crucial game. Sad for Tammy. Doesn't deserve to go out being snubbed like this. Can only think hes been sulking or something and TT not standing for it. Anyway, just a win at any cost type of game!
-
Agreed, only easy on paper, especially this heavily congested season. But, Liverpool are hitting form at the right time winning 4 out of 6 and only dropping points to late goals to draw 2 games. Leicester win has made it signicantly more difficult for us now, and of course, Liverpool too. Got to forget about Saturday and. select the strongest side available tonight, as no doubt Arsenal will be up for this game.
-
We need more than 3 points for that. Liverpool can still end with 69 points. To be sure of top four we need 6 more points, tho 5 might be enough with our GD over Liverpool. Liverpool have 3 easy games after Utd, so if they beat Utd they'll have a great chance of reaching 69 points. A draw will be a bad result tonight and put us under real pressure.
-
After the Leicester win, if I had to choose i'd rather take a win against Arsenal than win the Cup on Saturday. CL football is simply a bigger prize these days, so all guns blazing tmrw.
-
I didn't say we hired Frank because was a young, inexperienced manager. Anyway, I made it clear with how I think now with my last sentence of a post a few days ago when I ended with saying Frank is history now, so onward and upwards with TT.
-
Utd obviously had to field a weakened side and save something for the Liverpool game, but that line up was basically throwing the game. The Liverpool players will be furious and pumped up to the eyeballs on Thursday. Slaming some money on them to win it.
-
Apologies for not putting my point over well enough. I was thinking about the hiring of any young, inexperienced manager at a top club, not just Frank at Chelsea. If a club is going hire such a manager, then, as I said before, they have to give that manager time to learn from their mistakes and failures and see if they can turn things around. If not, then no top club should ever hire young managers.
-
True, but RA knew he was hiring a very inexperienced manager with a lot to learn. You should either accept a young manager will have tough times and stick by them, or not hire one in the first place. Yes, I fully accept that Frank might well have not turned things around, but I still think he should have been given until the end of this season. Anyway, that's all history now, so onwards and hopefully upwards with TT.
