  1. Not a fan either. I am hoping it is more of a sale with a fixed fee return price, which essentially makes it a glorified loan. It does make me think however, we want to raise cash for something. At the moment, we have raised: £4m - Moses £25m - Tomori £1.5-£3m (depending on source) Giroud £15m-£20m - Guehi That is £45.5m - £53.5m. We also have a number of other players we can potentially sell as well. Maybe it is to raise capital for Håland as he is going to be insanely expensive.
  2. Question is, does he take the pay cut? Didn't they give him £200k a week or something crazy?
  3. Surprising. Club must be wanting to raise cash, I don't understand selling him unless the sell on means it is virtually a buy back.
  4. Be interesting to know what the actual offer was.
  5. Well that is hardly surprising Fjortoft is a known BS'er. Where I stand on Håland is that it was always a difficult transfer to pull off. I think I rated it as a 30%-40% chance as Dortmund clearly don't want to sell. For me, the deal was never going to happen during the Euro's but I don't see us going all the way to the deadline to try and get it done. In my opinion, we have about three weeks to get it done with every passing week meaning it becomes less likely. I do think we will sign players this Summer and I think they will be good players, however I do think the club are prioritising selling players and getting extentions for players like AC/Rudi/Liva/Bate which makes sense as we have so many dregs and those four players are quite valuable.
  6. I hope this doesn't mean I have to watch Timmy Baka stink up the place next season. If that is the case make Bate CM4. Anything but having him trip over his own feet again.
  7. This is Barca pulling another Pjanic/Arthur type deal.
  8. Spuds have to take the cash. I see him doing a Hazard, fitness/ankle wise.
  9. A buyout that was active and a gentlemans agreement that was as good as a buyout. Kante and Werner were similar too. Apples and oranges.
  10. Probably think the Lamptey route is more realistic.
  11. Romano is tickling our balls. Fjortoft is grade C at best.
  12. Know him as a player, but is Berger Romano level or below that? Anyway, if true. I could see us maybe doing that (isn't it £150m?) As I think we may go for just Håland then fill the gaps with loan/youth players. Additionally, if there are some players Dortmund are interested of ours we could maybe get some sort of swap in. Anyway, with just Håland we could do: RWB: Liva/Zappa CM: Baka/Gallagher CB: Sarr/Ampadu/Guehi Only issue after that is GK2 but there is typically someone knocking about who you can get for cheap/on a free for a year or two.
  13. That was apart of the 50% wage reduction that the Barca players agreed when Covid hit. His contract is for €800k a week and I believe that the 50% agreement has ended. Hence why Barca are now trying frantically to get shot of multiple players..
  14. Emerson isn't a bad player, it is more that it seems to me that he doesn't want to be here. I remember the end of the Sarri season and the star if the first SFL one. He was actually playing pretty well, then just seemed to give up once the rumours came out that he wanted to leave. When I say this, I am not saying he is a world beater, but he is certainly good enough to be a LB2 for us if he wanted to be.
  15. Yes he is. How do you think Barca have a wage bill of €650m? To give it some context, Chelsea's is about £300m, so they're double ours. One contract that was confirmed to give it some context is Messi. They gave that fecker $675m over four seasons with all his signing bonuses. That is about £482m or £2.3m a week. People really need to go and have a proper look at Barca's finances, even if it is just to have a laugh. They're absolutely fecked. No. Just a slightly upmarket German Sun.
  16. Then can jog on then. They'll be plenty of PL clubs that will pony up for Zouma. No need to loan him to Italy.
  17. Yeah, well £30-£35m is the price, so they'll need to cough up if they want him.
  18. I'll give Veratti something, he certainly has a type.
  19. So, if Zouma and Giroud leave, as reported, that leaves us with a first team squad of: *denotes multiple positions GK: Mendy, Kepa CB: Silva, AC, Rudi, Dave*, James* WB's: James*, Dave*, Chilwell, Alonso, Emerson CM: Jorgi, Kante, Kova, Mount*(?) AM: Puli, Harvetz*, Mount*, Werner*, CHO, Ziyech CF: Tammy, Harvetz*, Werner* Squad size: 20 Squad is strangely lopsided imo. For me, I have the following opinion: 1) AM, we have 1-2 too many players 2) CM is arguably 1 CM down (unless there is a push to move Mount back, which I could see as a long term goal) 3) LWB has 1 too many 4) RWB has 1 too few if you don't count Dave (which I don't really, as I see him now as a RCB who is emergency cover (e.g. No3) for RWB/LWB.) 5) GK is one too few (although only at GK2/3 level) 6) CB has arguably 1 too few (although I would be ok if Guehui/Ampadu are brought back for CB5/6. 7) CF lacks quality and numbers if you play Kai/Werner in AM roles.
  20. They're good for a laugh though. That Crimewatch intro to Hazard laughing with Zouma was right up there with one of my favourite football related stories of the year. Additionally, the back to the future chalk board explanation of how Messi is going to get paid was also pretty funny.
  21. That surprises me little, Jose loves a hard runner and Pedro is still pretty good at that. Maybe he needs to free up some of the wage bill to get the signings he wants?
  22. If you count James as a RCB then Zouma going isn't really an issue, especially if he raises £30m-£35m (like he probably would do): RCB: Dave, James CCB: AC/Silva LCB: Rudi + 1 of Guehi /Ampadu Additionally, if the club go mental and pay £70m+ for Rice he can fill in there too. Only question then would be RWB. Liva for a promotion to the first team squad? Could also see Zappa pulling a Moses 2016/17, he actually had a really strong end to last season after getting himself fit finally.
  23. Who would be an ideal replacement for them? That Serbian kid from Florence?
