  1. Who is saying that or is it a guess?
  2. I cannot say if that is true or not as I haven't watched them enough. However, I remember when we brought Baka and everyone said he was quality when I had actually watched him and thought he was sh*t. So, are they actually better than what Baka was at the same age?
  3. I am not really a fan of either of those players, but isn't it better he is giving them a shot rather than just discarding them and targeting another player who could become like them in 1-2 years time? In my opinion, we have plenty of loan rangers and academy boys that can fill the squad roles (bar GK2 and CF1) that I do not want to see us going out and laying out £25m+ and probably £90k+ a week on players like Adama. Personally, when we are shifting academy boys for £20m+ plus a pop after minimal amount of games, it is kind of a no brainer. I agree that Tammy should stay if there is no Håland but he really isn't a great fit for TT's style. I can see a situation where if good money comes in the club take it as he only has two years left and there is a big danger he rides the bench all season, at which point his value goes through the floor. Same situation applies to Zouma, although he has the benefit of playing in a position where we have players on the pitch at any given time.
  4. Well if they rate Rice at £80m+ does that mean we can rate Tammy at £65m+?
  5. Problem is, Lukaku isn't good enough for the proce, Kane has dodgy ankles and plays for Spuds which makes it an almost impossible task and Dortmund are looking like they will refuse serious money for Håland. Not much the club can do imo.
  6. We will want him to go somewhere were he will play 90%+ of games. At Newcastle that will 100% happen. Someone like Palace may also be a good fit, however I am unsure who they still have in CM as I know they only had 10 players at one point but have started re-signing/signing players now. However, with Palace, Vieira is a big risk. He hasn't been great at any club he has managed yet.
  7. I would say reasonable. The problem stems from him having the English tax on him. If he does well, then by the end of the season he could be £50m+ like Ben White.
  8. Couldn't see him at Roma, his defensive positioning is too poor to interest Jose.
  9. Problem is Conte looks like a prime candidate if things do not go well. I give Ole until Xmas unless he looks like he is putting a title run together and gets them out of their CL group in somewhat convincing fashion. With Sancho and Varane excuses will be thin on the ground if they do not take off.
  10. Never getting those valuations. Apart from Emerson, all of those players have wages that no one else will match. At best we will get a loan for them where we do not have to pay there wages. Additionally, I suspect Emerson will be more like €10-€15m (if we can find a buyer.) We tried last year to sell him for £15m-£20m. And no one wanted him. Cannot see anyone doing that this Summer after he had two league appearances and has a year less on his contract.
  11. That or covering the costs of last years spending.
  12. Is a bit odd, but if players won't sign contracts this is probably the best thing we can do.
  13. Probably has a good chance of being a squad player.
  14. We have a lot of dregs still and an insane number of players. I think we're selling before we buy and we have a lot to sell. Additionally, unless the player is Håland/Hakimi grade, then just use an academy boy or one of the loan rangers instead. Otherwise we're just buying more future dregs.
  15. It is pretty obvious the club have been running transfers for ages, I would say since the third season of Jose Mk1. However, as 2016-18 were so disasterous and Conte acted like a dick, people wanted to blame him. I think at best, a Chelsea manager gets one-two players per window: Sarri - Jorgi SFL - Chilwell Etc.
  16. The guy is on €800k a week, he has already told Barca to forget about shifting him to Atleti if they think he is taking a pay cut. No way do we bring him in, unless Barca agree to loan him and cover €550k a week of his wages. This doesn't really make any sense for them as that wouldn't help clear enough of their wage costs. Further to this, he has been recently caught in his third of fourth racial incident in the past few years. Not sure I really want someone that is going to bring that kind of heat down on the club.
  17. That Lewa link is from The Sun, no? Likely to be BS if it is.
  18. This is fecking hilarious. Real are trying to make out everything is fine and dandy, by excluding their stadium debt in these figures (I have bolded it). I mean seriously, how can these clowns claim they have such a small debt figure when they have excluded at least €595m (some reports have it at €750m) worth of debt? Jokers.
  19. Where I stand on transfers is this. If we can get a Håland or any other high celing/elite player then we should do. If our only options are players like Lukaku/Troare/Ings then don't buy anyone and use the youth or some of the loan players.
  20. If PSG wanted him/he wanted to go there they could just do it this season. Their owners wealth makes Roman look like a peasant.
  21. Not sure Real will be able to do it still. Even next season he is going to be super expensive as there is still a €80m fee. For me, they're much more likely to go for Mbappe.
  22. This is a slightly illogical argument. As what does that mean for all the players not to have made a final/as many finals? Isn't better to make the final and lose, rather than go out earlier?
  23. Dave is fine at 32. He has never been a player that used he speed to defend. There are plenty of CB's who where still playing at peak levels between 32-35. Silva will need to be managed but he is a Rolls Royce of a player so that is fine. AC and Rudi do need sorting; I am confident on AC re-signing however Rudi is a bit more questionable as he will be looking for absolute top dollar owing to his age. Zouma is also here at the moment, and whilst I am not a big fan of his, he is fine as a CB4/5. Additionally, we also have Sarr and Ampadu who can playing the depth level CB5/6 role if the club want them too and that is before we get to James who is looking more and more likely to end up a RCB in a 3 than a RWB. That leaves us with: Silva, AC, Dave, Rudi, Zouma + James and one of Sarr/Ampadu if desired. Imo, CB is a area that will need to be looked at next season but for this coming one we need to prioritise sort a CF before all else. After that it will then require looking at: 1) RWB1/2 (maybe Liva or Zappa can do that job if James is kept primarily as a RWB) 2) GK2 3) CM (I still have massive issues with our lack of goals from this position.)
