  1. That doesn't really make sense as we were Champions only the year before. The rumour I believe is that Chelsea were hard balling Roma over the fee and Liverpool swooped in and took him. The irony of this, is that it then lead to Granny going back to TC to tell him he couldn't leave, after saying he could do in March, then when he went on strike the club went into melt down and brought Kepa for £72m on £170k a week for 7 years.
  2. Are City honestly thinking of selling Laporte? If so we should be all over that. Not many CB's in the world of his level and left footed.
  3. Quite glad they're the ones dropping £160m + £400k a week wages on a 28 year old with dodgy ankles.
  4. I've got a feeling he may struggle a bit at Utd. Not sure if it will be short term or longer, but I can see him not adapting to the low blocks he'll find over here well.
  5. I cannot see him being here beyond the coming season. Maybe to Jan 2022 at a push.
  6. What did we get for this one, a bag of crisps and a pint?
  7. I am not in or out on Ziyech, it is more that I see the number of AM's we have and question what happens if someone gives us a bid of £35m+. Personally, I think we could sell him and there wouldn't be much drop off in terms of the squad as we will still have: Puli, Harvetz, Werner, CHO, Mount who can all play in those positions.
  8. Tbf, we are/were horribly bloated. There are probably another 9 that could leave and it wouldn't make any difference: Emerson RLC Barkley Ziyech Baka Batsh*t Zappa Baba Drinky
  9. Weren't we giving Leeds £6m 15 years ago for three academy players?
  10. Sheff Utd quoting £30m for Ramsdale and Brighton getting £50m for White. Yet most people on here think £35m for Tammy is unrealistic.
  11. I can see him agreeing if, by 'super sub', they mean a 'Super Subway'.
  12. If anyone was offering €10-€15m for him he would already be gone.
  13. Not sure. Another reason why it isn't happening.
  14. Emerson and Zappa are slightly different, which is why I had them on a separate list. Those two may get a fee and a sale. The other three, no chance. I mean let's look at them: Drinky - possibly and alcoholic with mental health issues. No one is touching him. Batsh*t - A CF that cannot do anything bar put the ball in the net. However, last season he only scored one goal for Palace and was behind Benteke and Ayew. Who is touching him at even £5m? Another problem is where he wants to go. Brugges apprantly offered us a fee and he rejected it as he thought he was to good to go there. Baka - One of the single worse seasons in Chelsea history and then has not convinced three teams to take him. No chance he leaves.
  15. Well, that was for four months. You buy Lewa, it is not just a £50m fee but three to four years of £250k+ a week. At a minimum it is £100m. Not happening.
  16. No way are the club laying out £50m on a 33 year old CF with no experience of the PL.
  17. Not going to happen. It is kind of like a Barca situation but with lower figures. I mean seriously, where are we finding a crack head who will pay any of the following wages: Kepa - £170k a week Baka - £110k a week Drinky - £100k a week Batsh*t - £110k a week RLC - £120k a week Barkley - £100k a week I am sorry, but those players above are sunk costs, we are not getting a fee for them, because no one is insane enough to pay those wages. At best we get a loan with wages covered, however most will require subsidised wages and forget about a loan fee. Then you also have the following players who we may be able to get a small fee/small loan fee for (but we have trouble as other teams know we have a weak hand in negotiations): Zappa - £80k a week Emerson - £50k a week In total, those 8 players cost us £850k a week or £44.2m a year. That is also before you get to people like Alonso (I actually count him as usable so don't mind him, but I know others do), Baba, Baker, Miazga and Sarr who probably push us past the £1m a week/£52m a year stage. That is essentially all our transfer income so far, maintaining their wages. People talk about these players as rubbish/deadwood but forget that other teams will see them as not great either and won't go anywhere near their wages as a result and/or hardball us. The youth players are a complete different kettle of fish, they all have low wages, have a lot of potential upside and can be had for low fees.
  18. I don't necessarily disagree, but Dortmund are a well run club, so they know what they're doing most of the time.
  19. Is it that simple? His buy out is €75m and it is rumoured we would do €150m. So, it is a €75m gap. However, CL qualification is worth €50m, his image rights are probably worth quite a bit, his social media following is rather high too and is probably valued. Then there are shirt sales etc etc. So, that additional €75m may not be seen as worth the risk.
  20. That wasn't me that said that, that was Pizy.
  21. Personally, if you mean people like Adama, I prefer to sign no one.
  22. Yeah, but Kova is only 27, he still has tons of time. Jorgi is 29/30 and only has two years left. He imo, is the player that will be replaced by either a Billy/Bate.
