mediocre is a misused word. I said Azpilicueta is an ordinary player. He is not special by any means. thats why I said he is mediocre.

For me its clear only a disaster will avoid the League trophy at the end of the season. But I think its really weird that some people just don't accept any kind of criticism after a victory or because the team is 6 points clear on top of the league with one game in hand. Its really hard to imagine this team enjoying a long term success without major changes. Its the greatest challenge of Mourinho's career. In last 10 years Mourinho managed clubs that only needed small adjustments. Chelsea in 2004 was a side that reached UCL semi-final and was runner-up in PL. Gudjonsen, Cole, Bridge, Damien Duff, Gallas, Makelele, Lampard and Terry were there before Jose. Inter de Milao was the best team in Italy for seasons. 9 out of 14 players used in UCL Final in 2010 were playing for the Italian club before Jose arrived. The same happened in Madrid, where he failed. When Mourinho got back, Chelsea was a Europa League side, and struggled to be a top 4 side in PL. A team full of unproven and decadent players. I'm not sure Jose is the right man to build teams. He is a winner, not an engineer. Last season he realized players like KDB, Mata and Luiz were not "Mourinho players". Instead of changing some of his dogmas, or taking time to teach his players a new way of playing football, he favored the mediocrity of Ivanovic, Cahill, Azpillicueta, Willian and Ramires. In January window he went to buy Matic, a limited and conservative DM. His back four were created in a difficult momento of the season. Months later he was saying the back four was the team strongest point...in defense we need a completely overhaul. Terry was not even an untouchable player anymore during 2011/2013 period. Mourinho decided he was as good as in 2005, and now he is one of our players that started 100% of PL games this season. He is not as good as 2005. Ivanovic must find another club next season, or must become squad player. Cahill has always been mediocre. Azpilicueta is not even a great RB, but become Mourinho favorite LB (!!!!). Ramires was player of the season in 2011/12 season, was very important in 12/13, but he belongs to past. His performance this season has been a disgrace. Willian is a solid squad player, he will never be a protagonist. Costa need some kind of competition. He has 18 goals, the 2nd team top scorer is Hazard with only 10. This team need more dynamism in the midfield. Matic is very limited to one specific kind of game. Fabregas is a shy player. He won't decide any big match by himself. Next season to be honest I think United will be a very dominant team, they are definitely the most solid team in this second leg of the season. They improved during the tournament, while our team seems to play worst game after game. Mourinho returning in a moment when the team was full of attacking and exciting players seemed to announce years of dominance, but I'm really afraid the PL trophy this year might be an exception, not the rule.

Curtois man of the match. Good result, disappointing perfomance.
-
Hull: 14 shoots. Chelsea: 3 shoots. Some people still want to picture the result as a matter of individual mistakes.
-
Ivanovic will score next game and everybody will say he is a world class player.
-
He also has nothing to do with Hazard and Costa goals, both were typical individual momments. The team cant even exanche more than two passes and are far from organized on the pitch.
-
Not sure you are being rational, since I dont remember a single post in 1054 pages of this topic saying Mourinho must sacked...actually you are the one distorting what people are saying. If you see Mourinho job since he returned to Chelsea as perfect and flawless, then you are far from rational.
-
"Oh, ojaojaajaij". Even when people were saying Matic was the best player ever in the second leg of last season I was saying he was not that good. Go on and keep your nonsensical talk about the likes of Xurli being world class players.
-
It seems there are some people our ideal mid is Matic-Fabregas-Ramires. It must be one of the poorest mids in top of the league. The talk Matic needing Ramires to upgrade his game doesn't make any sense. If a player need the support of Ramires to do great, then he is not great at all.
-
The game changed after he left. Good DM but his style suit a slow paced and conservative game. Far from the godlike player he is pictured around.
-
Today he made an unusual sub: Ramires/Matic. Better football in 2nd half. But Remy and Cuadrado were a bad move. Killed our chances in the game.
-
He is right. Mourinho is local press top 1 obsession.
-
To be honest british press talk about Mourinho is clueless. The talk about players around the referee is nonsensical and doesn't make any sense. Every team in the world used to do that. Actually they should be questioning who is Mourinho at this point. Perhaps his pragmatic approach went too far. Mourinho's record in last 5 years is decent but far from impressive for a coach who called himself the special one and is treated by the local press as god-like manager. I never hear talk about the real quality of PL at this point, and the lack of a really dominant team. It seems its going to be the most one sided league race since 2006, and its not what you would expect coming from the quality of football this squad produced for most part of the season.

I'm not a big fan of Fabregas. I still think its weird to see him wearing a Chelsea shirt. I don't think he is a match winner. For a team who had the likes of Ballack and specially Lampard in the past, Fabregas looks unexciting. His untouchable status must change next season.

I'm done with Willian. Its really sad, because in his first game he scored that superb goal. He is a player that is afraid to take responsibilities, he is afraid of scoring goals, he is afraid of trying to be the protagonist. He is everything Luiz was not. Luiz was a player that was never afraid of making mistakes. Something that Mourinho wound tolerate coming from a CB. Willian to other is a player that never take risks. A typical Willian display: he receives the ball, then an opponent start to mark him, he retains the ball, he pretends do dribble, retains the ball, pretends to dribble again...then end up making a short pass to the closest player. His attitude when he is not will the ball is also a shame. He just hides behind defenders. The fact that Mourinho loves an attacking player that is afraid to attack speaks loud about the teams current form.
-
Many people saying Terry was "marking" Cahill. Actually Cahill was the one that was completely lost in that goal.
-
It seems Mourinho loves Ramires, but its weird that Ramires' best years were during 2011/13 (in my opinion he was our player of the season 2011/12 season). After Mourinho arrived, Ramires is not as useful as he used to be. He spend most part of the games making fouls, He is only a shadow of the player he used to be.
-
Being around the ref, play acting and being a bellend is a not a good reason to boo a former player, specially when everyone love Diego Costa behavior, and considering we had 10 players around the referee after Ibra's foul on Oscar. About the celebration, he was right to celebrate. Considering the circumstances of the game, he just scored a a goal 5 minutes before the end and his team was playing with only 10 men. He is a PSG player at the end of the day, and I will never understand the "a player should never celebrate a goal against his former club" rule. Luiz was also treated like a useless player by Mourinho ann british press, and considering he was the man of the match yesterday and considering he as booed before he scored and celebrated, his attitude yesterday was 100% right.

I'm confused about these news. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/563573/Jose-Mourinho-New-Four-Year-Chelsea-Contract According to Express Mourinho's current contract is a 4 year deal. To be honest, it seems a little nonsensical to offer Mourinho a two years extend at this point if he still has 2 years and half left... http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/430451/Chelsea-Jose-Mourinho-Contract Daily Star says its the current contract is a 3 year deal, so Roman is no willing to let Jose go at the end of the next season. Both articles are saying that a "Chelsea insider" told them that Roman will give Mourinho a two extend even with "a catastrophic collapse in the Premier League title race". To honest that doesn't make any sense. We must question the reasons behind this "Chelsea insider". Mourinho is a very influent man. To other side, at this point, everything the board want to avoid, is putting Mourinho and his team under pressure, because lets be honest, its really hard to imagine any manager in the world surviving an embarrassing UCL exit followed by a "catastrophic collapse" in the domestic league.

Cuadrados is easily the most useless january buy ever...and an expensive one!
-
Not to mention PSG wasted the last 5 minutes of the ET, because Azi was conceding throw ins all the time. Don't forget all of the PSG goals started in our left back...
-
To be honest, Hazard is the only player who showed signs of improvement since Mourinho arrived in 2013...
