Kakuta reminds me of years ago when I joined this forum. I was saying we should go and get Neymar, and people were saying Lukaku and Kakuta were better players. Its shocking to realize that Kakuta still is 23, it feels like he is 35. The few matches he started were terrible, easily the 2nd worst players I have ever seen playing for Chelsea since I started watching games more than 10 years ago (the worst was Lukaku, by far).

Lets be honest: he is the most overrated player EVER. His reputation was creates around weak leagues. No one can deny that. He joined Inter in 2006, when Serie A was an one sided league. In 2009 he joined Barcelona, but as soon as he realized he was not as good as his ego suggest, he decided to join a decadent Milan in a decant Serie A. His next challenger? Join an one sided French League, where his team could easily win the league and he could score goals for free. I will never understand the hype around this guy. The only season he played in a top league was in 09/10 season for Barcelona, when he finished the season sitting on the bench. Perhaps we can say between 2005/2007 he was in a top league, playing in Serie A for Juventus, but his 23 goals in two seasons for Juve was far from impressive. Playing in weak leagues would not be a problem if he could prove himself in another big tournament, but his UCL record is far from impressive. No one can remember an amazing UCL performance coming from this guy during a big european match. It makes me angry that every fucking football game since 2007 feature a overpowered version of this clown.

You know when the hype around a player is getting out of control when people are using the word "brilliant" to describe this kind of display. The brilliant defensive moment from yesterday was from Zouma, that perfect tackle against Aguero inside the box.

Schurrle is probably the most overrated player to ever wear a Chelsea shirt. The amount of things I've heard about him after his decent WC were abusive. Someone who never watched any WC game would get the feeling Schurli was a top 3 player in WC reading the forum (actually he was not even a starting, and only played the final due to 3 or 4 players getting injured).

That might be true. But you have to admit Curtois was labelled a supernatural GK after Atletico great last season. A Howler in UCL Final and a mistake in a crucial game in PL. He is no worst than Cech, but I'm not sure if he is better than him to justify the fact in his first season he is the main GK beyond doubt.
