  1. The way we play is different to the way United play. We don't fashion enough chances for our CF and our CF needs to be involved in play in order to fashion chances for the team. United play with two strikers, so Hernandez has tons more space than our CF does. Hernandez would not be as good for us as he is with United - at United he plays at a poacher, we can't just have a poacher up front. It wouldn't work. Any striker that we sign for the short term is simply not good enough for me. I prefer a long term investment that can grow with our OHM trio. I repeat... Torres & Sturridge are good enough to get us top 4. Probably top 3 even.
  2. Huntelaar would be such a step backwards simply because outside of the box he is so useless. People want us to sign any striker in good form because of what's happening regarding our strike force but we've got to look on the grand scheme of things. It's okay if we don't win the title this season - there's no reason to panic buy a striker in January. It hinders our chance to build a proper strike force in the summer. At CFC we require more than just a finisher up front. Huntelaar's a poor man's Falcao. We are not poor men. People will always say "anything better than Torres and Sturridge will do" but that view is way too short term in my opinion.
  3. I think Torres and Sturridge are good enough to give us a top four finish.
  4. I'd rather wait till the summer and sign someone long term.
  5. That does not equate to him being off.
  6. What chances? Name me one strong source that suggests he's leaving in January. Or the summer for that matter.
  7. Fair enough, but I think we can do better than Demba Ba, Cisse, Bony and Llorente. Just a personal opinion!
  8. The amount of people that want Lampard out. Quite shocking. Glad you lot aren't running the club.
  9. Why when there are better options available? We're not Newcastle, we're Chelsea.
  10. He was solid, but wasn't really tested against Liverpool anyway. Good for him, hope he carries on progressing.
  11. Again as I said before, that has to do with their forward lines being a lot more experienced and mature than ours. RVP, Rooney, Valencia and Young are a lot more experienced than our three maestros. So is a forward line of Silva, Tevez, Nasri etc. That's the difference really.
  12. That had more to do with Liverpool being galvanised because of their equaliser and Rodgers changing the tactics. I do agree that he was the best forward though, always tried to get us going, unfortunately not everyone was on his wavelength.
  13. And we weren't up to scratch today. It happens - we're in a bit of a slump and sometimes things don't go your way, exactly what happened today.
  14. Why the hell are you looking for your DM to score goals? That's ridiculous.
  15. At least Hernandez gets a half or 30 minutes, unlike Sturridge who gets 5 minutes at the end. Parallel worlds really. We don't need to sign two strikers at all.
  16. Yes, that's all I'm asking for too, as long as we keep up well with the Manchester teams I'd say we've been successful in the league, but they're both a lot more mature than our team. Our sides in transition, so we are going to have results like these.
  17. This is a realistic expectation. Anyone expecting us to win the league is quite naive.
