  1. Cole is getting no cover on that side. I'd like to see Hazard drop a little bit deeper just for the opening stage of this game to help out Cole.
  2. I'd say we're competing with them three already right now. We've proved so far this season we're definitely one of Europe's elites.
  3. Exactly, if anything we were overstocked at that time.
  4. Our squad really isn't that thin. People are putting an hyperbole on it. We're probably 2/3 players away from having real depth in the squad.
  5. People were saying that because we still had Essien and Mereiles in the squad.
  6. That's like saying you'd have Messi over Hazard. Not hard to say.
  7. I'm actually offended by this. Ghanaian blood so he isn't as trustworthy as a German defender? Ridiculous. Have you forgotten about that guy called Marcel Desailly?
  8. Which was again once (where he should've really passed to Mata)... In two hours of football. Fair enough about other points though. I wouldn't say he selfish, he's just eager to impress. I think Sturridge has a good finish on him too but the fact that he was rusty obviously affected it.

  10. @WhoScored: Fewest minutes per goal in the PL this season (min 2 goals): Robson-Kanu 51, Dzeko 56, Hernandez 78, van Persie 95, Lukaku 97, Walcott 102
  11. If Moses put away Sturridge's exquisite pass, your statement would be so invalid.
  12. There's a difference between pointing out a mistake of a player and saying a player is shit. Grow up.
  13. It's not his fitness that's the problem, he played 120 minutes. It was his sharpness. There's a big difference.
  14. And vice-versa. I don't think anyone was vilifying Cahill for yesterday, more about Sunday. Some of the Luiz criticism is over the top as usual, besides apart from the first half Luiz was actually very solid. From second half onwards you won't find him making the silly mistakes he committed in the first. If Luiz had put in the performance Cahill did on Sunday he would've been destroyed even more - Cahill for me was at fault for United's second and Ivanovic's sending off. To me these games have just reaffirmed how important JT is to our organisation in defence.
  15. He's allowed that far up the pitch because RDM and the management staff give him the freedom to. Simple.
  16. I'd go with a front 4 of Torres, Hazard, Oscar and Moses. Moses did enough to warrant another start IMO, and Mata should be saved for Shakhtar.
  17. Go watch the game again and tell me he struggled to do basic things again. Unbelievable the bullsh*t people actually come up with.
  18. Well, Luiz's role is to harass the striker, whilst JT/Cahill sit back. Of course he'll have more interceptions, foul more and be dribbled around more times. It's what's being asked of him.
  19. Go watch the game again, there's only one real selfish moment from Sturridge, apart from that I can't see what else you're trying to complain about. People need to lay off him, it's his first start all season and he had a decent game where he scored with a tidy finish, nearly had an assist as well. Caused havoc with his pace upfront. He's not as sharp as he could be obviously due to lack of game time but that was a decent outing by Sturridge.
  20. Do remember that this was Sturridge's first start all season. Don't be so ridiculous.
  21. I thought Sturridge was decent today overall. People are just saying he had a bad game because of one selfish piece of play... Apart from that he led the line really well and got into great positions. His pass to Moses (which Victor unfortunately missed) was pretty sublime too. Decent first start from Danny, I think he'll kick on from here. Luiz... Uhhm. He had a horrible first half, but in the second half and extra time he looked a different player. Composed himself well, won a lot of headers and tackled well after half time. There's not much he could've done for the third goal, it was either him leaving it or taking Nani out for a penalty. It should've been stopped before. Special mention to Anderson from United whom I thought was superb. Oscar was also supreme in the double pivot, he is such a talent. I could see us playing Moses more often now because Oscar actually looks at home in the pivot. Decent game, shouldn't have conceded four really... I hope this game and the few before enlightened to many how important JT is to us.
