  1. I think so. He'd be great with Oscar, Mata and Hazard behind him, would be a very interesting link up.
  2. He was okay yesterday, broke up play quite well but overall he was just about average. I think he should've played at CB, would've handled Adebayor a lot better than Cahill did.
  3. Ran his arse off. Should've been subbed after around the 70 minute mark because he ran out of steam for once but obviously our nonce of an interim decided otherwise.
  4. Btw, don't know if it's been mentioned yet but Adebayor was offside for their 2nd goal.
  5. What. A. Player. Even better in the flesh. Literally tore Kyle Walker apart - him and Ash did well on the left. They contained Walker quite well and completely marked Lennon out of the game.
  6. Torres played well and Mata and Hazard didn't do anything? Were you on drugs when you were watching the game? Wow.I kept a keen eye on Torres for the whole game. He didn't look assed for the majority of it. He was poor. It's now come down to that Torres has had a good game if he has an assist and tries for about 10 minutes of a game, which is sad really because it's far from good enough.
  7. Moyes to United is almost a dead cert, Moyes didn't deny when chased down by a Sky journalist and Everton's chairman looked like he's resigned to the faith that Moyes is off too, plus the fact that almost all newspapers are saying he's the next United manager. Jose wouldn't do that to us. Jose now has a chance to come dominate English football with the club he loves the most. Our biggest adversaries have been weakened significantly IMO.
  8. This guy really doesn't do himself any favours does he? In a game that was screaming for Ba to come on, screaming for Lamps to come on to give our crowd that extra lift he brings on Benayoun. The crowd started chanting Jose Mourinho, which obviously isn't helpful for the team but he brought it on himself and the team. The most daftest decision I've seen made by him in a long time.
  9. Maybe excellent was a bit of a hyperbole regarding Mata but he was one of our better players, even though he didn't take his chances and should've slipped in Ramires cleaner he still showed his class at times. I did feel he played a part in us dominating the majority of the game. His excellent corner (right in front of me mind ) got us that opening goal after all.
  10. £25m for Rooney? I'd bite off your hand.
  11. Just came home from the Bridge. What a special day. Gutted that we never won, we fully bossed the majority of the game - just ran out of steam in the end. The atmosphere was fantastic, don't know how we sounded on TV though. Oscar, Ramires, Hazard, Mata, Azpilicueta and Ivanovic all had fantastic games. Oscar - my word is this kid going to be special. He's not a right winger at all but he linked up play so well on that right side. His work rate was excellent and he poached his goal really well. He, alongside Azpilicueta, basically shut down that right flank Bale was operating on. Azpilicueta had Bale in his pocket for most of the game, it was fantastic. Almost my MOTM, he really is underrated. Ramires basically put his heart on the line on the pitch. He really finished his goal excellently and ran his heart off, completely bossed the middle alongside Luiz. This is the first time I got to see Hazard in the flesh and my word, this guy is criminally good. He destroyed Kyle Walker on numerous times. This guy will slaughter the PL next season. My MOTM, followed closely by Oscar. I can't believe Rafa took him off. Rafa threw the game for us. Torres was horrible, I kept a very close eye on him all game and honestly, he hardly put in work. Apart from his assist to Ramires' goal (which was more down to Ramires' brilliance) he was torrid. I maintain the belief that we would've won if we played Ba instead because 90% of what Torres did just didn't go. The fact that Rafa took off Oscar and Hazard was a big factor in our draw too considering they were both the best players on our team IMO. The Benayoun - Oscar sub was one of the most bewildering things I've ever seen, it really put a damper in the atmosphere. He should've put on Lampard to liven up the Bridge but yeah, can't do anything about it now. If you asked me at the start I would've been happy with a draw but if you ask me now its two points lost... Anyway, we win on Saturday and I think we're pretty much guaranteed top four. I'll try upload some videos to YouTube later. KTBFFH! Ps. WE HATE TOTTENHAM. WE HATE TOTTENHAM. WE HATE TOTTENHAM.
  12. ON THE WAY TO THE BRIDGE, SO PUMPED. COME ON CFC!
  13. I hope United announce Moyes soon so people will stop panicking.
  14. People on here are overreacting, typical case of 2+2=5.
  15. Honestly now, if you look at United's squad and ours, which one excites you more? Which has more potential. Obviously ours. I'm sure Mourinho would chose us over them simply because of that. The only way I can see Mourinho going to United is if we fail to offer him a contract.
  16. Moyes' contract runs out this summer IIRC. The logical thing would be Moyes to United, Mourinho to us. Moyes fits in more with their ethos and SAF is still staying on the board as a director and advisor... Mourinho wouldn't work under SAF. I'm very sure of that.
  17. No, DMs are part of the midfield... The abbreviation sort of gives it away - defensive midfielder.
  18. I wouldn't say so. I would say JT is more towards the passionate side than calm, just like Luiz.A calm captain would be someone like Lampard, but JT's captain ahead of him simply because he's more passionate, and rightly so IMO. Passion rubs off on people more than calmness does. Passion drives your team mates on. Passion inspires the crowd. Luiz, if given the captaincy, would relish in the role. With power comes responsibility, and I believe that Luiz will cut out that sometimes rash reaction if he does get it due to the nature & the responsibility of the role.
  19. Interesting to see why you think our defence needs strengthening, and not our midfield... Elaborate please?
  20. Question for you Strike. Would you call JT a "calm" captain?
  21. This is going to be my last post on this matter. This is what you said: I rest my case. Not going to argue about it with you anymore as you're clearly deluded and won't admit you're wrong.
  22. I didn't say it was solely down to Mikel, didn't even mention in that post that it was due to Mikel we drew. What I'm trying to say is that if you're going to state facts don't try to put a negative spin on them. I agree Mikel's been in poor form since the ACON but then again you can't solely push the blame on him for our poor performances - I'm not saying that you are, you've made fair points on Mikel, but certainly a few people on here do so.
  23. It's because Man City, Arsenal and United all crashed out very early in the CL, and also because we competed in the group stages of the CL.
  24. He's talking about Khedira mate...
  25. Oh FFS come off it! No one said CFC were a top top club before Abramovich came here, stop saying that! You were the one that said "Chelsea were mid table before Abramovich came" which simply isn't true! Here are Chelsea's league finishes 5 years before Abramovich came and took over, I can't believe I have to list them and spell it out to you as any decent Chelsea fan would know them (or in fact, a simple Google search will help as well): 1998: 4th 1999: 3rd 2000: 5th 2001: 6th 2002: 6th 2003: 4th Does that look like mid table to you? Like I said, STOP BEING SO IGNORANT IN SAYING THAT CHELSEA WERE MID TABLE BEFORE ROMAN CAME. You sound like a bloody idiot. Can we get back to intelligently discussing Mourinho now?
