What? You're putting words in my mouth now... I wasn't using the fact that he wasn't even the best striker in France as an argument of us not buying him. If you read the discussion I was having with ElTigre you'd see that he thought Falcao was the best striker in the world and that's why I said he's not even the best striker in France. You've completely taken that part of my argument out of context.

I don't need you to tell me Falcao is a good striker - I know he is. And I agree that when it comes to ruthless, clinical finishing he's ahead of the game. I'm not disputing what he's done in his career, I'm well aware of that, most people are. I'm literally just saying that IMO I think those strikers I have mentioned are better than him. I've also said before when we were hotly linked with him that I didn't want him because he wouldn't suit what we're trying to create here at CFC but that is another discussion for another day.

The discussion was about their abilities as players, we don't have to stand a chance of signing them in order for me to discuss about them.

It goes without saying that what I do say is my opinion... I didn't say anywhere that it's a fact. If you think Falcao is better than Aguero and Suarez then fair enough, that's your opinion. I don't though, which is exactly why I listed 5 strikers whom I think are better than Falcao - also to eridicate the "he's not even the best striker in France" opinion to show you that I think there are better strikers out there than him, regardless of what league they're in.

Some people think Ronaldo is better than Messi, so that's just your opinion - however I sincerely doubt that many think Falcao is better than Cavani and Ibrahimovic. Also, Spain > France. Aguero, Suarez, Ibrahimovic, Cavani, Benzema. 5 strikers whom I personally think are better than Falcao. You can't say the same about Ronaldo.

He's not even the best striker in France. Ibrahimovic and Cavani both have far more to their game than Falcao. It would be out of this world to dish out £52m for Falcao IMO. He's worth far less than that - and as I've said plenty of times before in this thread, he isn't the right striker for us to begin with.

You seriously can't use that as a reason to justify that buying Falcao at £52m is okay.

I'm not disagreeing with you that if he does perform poorly over the next few weeks that he should be dropped (as with any player) as we do have a very capable back up in Schwarzer now, but my point is is that you're trying to make it seem like Cech has been a liability this season when that's simply not true. Apart from a few isolated moments like you've pointed out, Cech has been pretty good this season. We're not giving away cheap goals (which we've barely given away to begin with, I can only recall 2 or 3 right now) because of Cech tbh, that's more to do with the way the team has been playing in general. Cech has been one of the most consistent performance in comparison to the rest of the team IMO. If he's been as poor as you're trying to make him out to be, he would've been dropped for Schwarzer ages ago. 2/3 mistakes in 15 odd appearances doesn't warrant dropping.

Difference is Roman never wanted RDM, and took any opportunity to sack him as just that. It's very different with Mourinho. He wasn't given a 4 year long contract for fun.

Funny season has arrived indeed. To even compare Cech's situation to Hart's who has been poor for the majority of the season is ludicrous IMO. Again I say, I love how you disregard the fact that he's made match winning saves in the some of the games that you did mention just because it's what goalkeepers are meant to do, which is again ludicrous again IMO, as that's like me saying one of the outfield players need to be dropped because he missed an open goal despite scoring 2 goals in the game. Look, I agree that Cech has made some mistakes this season and does need to work on rectifying them but equally, he's made plenty of world class saves this season and he isn't in bad form. One game where one mistake has truly cost the team (WBA) doesn't mean he's in bad form and needs to be dropped. Unbelievable how you're pretty much calling Cech's situation a "goalkeeping crisis". We'll just have to agree to disagree because you've obviously completely made your mind up that Cech needs to be benched for whatever reason.

Is that it?I love how you forget to mention that in 3 of those games (Villa, City and Bayern) Cech made plenty of fantastic saves to keep us in those SAME games to more than make up for those "errors" (even if they weren't as severe as the one at WBA). To say he needs a spell on the bench is absolutely ridiculous.

Pretty pumped. Made my first catch today (I'm a WR rookie) for my university's American Football team (we're national champions) and we beat our opponents 56-6. I'm currently averaging 30 yards per pass
