  1. Following this trend - think he’ll just about crack 25 goals in all competitions which isn’t too bad, but given the position he gets himself into and if we invest well, he could/should be hitting 30-40 next season.
  2. His main problem is that it takes his brain way too long to process things, especially when in the final third. Unfortunately that can’t be taught at his age.
  3. Unless Luiz ships out we really don’t need to improve at CB, especially since we have other gaping areas in the squad still. He’d be our joint third best CB as well (Christensen, Azpi, VVD/Luiz/Rüdiger).
  4. Why does this club continuously buy average players for ‘a little bit cheaper’ that we just ultimately end up replacing in the end anyway, thus ultimately costing us more money? Why do we spend £25m 3 times on the same problem instead of buying a £45m proper solution for example? For a club that pretends to be big on youth, we’re blocking the path of our promising youngsters with mediocre players. No idea why someone like Dujon Sterling can’t play and develop ahead of Zappacosta who’s obviously never going to be a great Chelsea player. It’s so tiring. Conte and the board right now are just... ugh.
  5. Our worst signing in years. This is it with him - he’s not going to improve. £25m completely down the drain.
  6. Don’t see why we just didn’t give Dujon a chance. He’s so painstakingly average.
  7. Should’ve been kept instead of buying Drinkwater.
  8. Willian and Pedro aren’t better than Mahrez man, come on. Mahrez was POTY 15/16, Willian has never produced anything close to that, and Pedro played for one of the best teams ever in the history of football (of course he did his bit but hasn’t had as impressive an individual season as Mahrez has).
  9. You’re being unfair because I’m not hearing that about Kanté who has been even sloppier in possession. Edit; Bakayoko is having a good game, he’s trying to move the ball forward with not so easy passes, winning the ball well and probably created our best chance. Constantly trying to break the lines. It’s when the ball gets to Willian and Pedro where we lack the finesse.
  10. Hazard, Moses and Bakayoko having decent games. Pedro and Willian black holes...
  11. Just about to say. But I’m okay with Moses moving forward until maybe a clear target for RWB pops up. At LWB there are talents like Grimaldo, Rose, Guerreiro from BVB, and Sandro of course available. Take your pick.
  12. Who would you recommend? I think we’re signing a LWB in January but who?
  13. Henrique, looking back, do you still think the team I posted up isn’t better than our current 11?
  14. Lyon have lots of interesting young talents coming through.
  15. Drinkwater Cesc midfield wasn’t fun at all. Seems like everyone that plays with Cesc in there struggles.
  16. Looks like I guessed right haha. I thought Fab would start because he hasn’t had as much game time recently.
  17. ...should be all over this guy and Sandro.
  18. I know we haven’t seen that much of Ampadu yet but who do you think is the better talent between the two?
  19. Dujon Sterling and Hudson-Odoi, hope they get big minutes. Expecting Ampadu to start (Conte seems to like him a lot), and personally I'd like to see something like this: Wily; Rudiger Ampadu Cahill; Kenedy Drinkwater Cesc Zappacosta; Willian Batshuayi Pedro. CHO and Sterling off the bench in the second half.
  20. I said - “I'm going to say it now, some might not like it, but the dislike for Emenalo just smacks off as subliminal racism to me.” - you can infer that I meant it as a general blanket statement but I’m telling you now that I’m talking about some Chelsea fans. Maybe I didn’t convey my words properly and I regret not elaborating. There were obviously legitimate criticisms of Emenalo. If you don’t think the fan base has some racism problems then you need to open your eyes to it. There’s sometimes the odd idiot at games for example who’ll shout out a racial slur. Not to mention some of the more famous incidents i.e. the Paris train fiasco. Anyway, it’s back on topic for me from now onwards.
  21. You answered your own question on the validity of the analogy there. What we’re talking about here isn’t really comparable to that.
