  1. Cahill vs. Vardy could get ugly. Might need top form Brexit Cahill to show up. Drinkwater wasn’t too impressive against Arsenal so Bakayoko has been given a chance again. Let’s see how it goes...
  2. Might see you there, will message you if I’m going.
  3. Alexis would be as good as a signing as Ballack, Makelele and Zola were imo.
  4. Thing is, we could quite literally spend what, £80m/90m this January on Sandro and Alexis and the squad becomes infinitely better. I mean, we spent £80m on Bakayoko and Drinkwater.
  5. It’s so tiring. This club has no ambition anymore .
  6. Literally brings almost nothing in a 352. Barkley must be rubbing his hands with glee right now.
  7. I’d take him if we were getting rid of Michy. Especially if the board don’t want to spend.
  8. Joe Tweedie. Top guy, one of the best guys CFC writers out there.
  9. Someone inexperienced like Tuchel would do the same.
  10. They could play together in a 3. Barkley/RLC/Kanté isn’t too bad (assuming both players have improved significantly of course) for example. But I do agree that that’s too idealistic, especially at Chelsea.
  11. He scores a goal and people completely forget about the game he was having before it. He makes good runs into the box and has a good free kick on him, but apart from that his general attacking play is generally average. Can’t really cross the ball well as he doesn’t have as much time to think about it in general play, doesn’t really advance the ball well enough. He’s not a bad player (would make a good squad player I think) but it’s as clear as day to see that in this Conte system, the wingbacks being of elite quality would progress our game going forward much better. It would make the team play better, in a much more cohesive manner, and we’d be far more potent going forward.
  12. Just pay the fucking money damnit. Virgil Van Dijk just went for £75m, Walker and Mendy cost £50m a piece. £60m for Sandro, a long term left back solution is fine. This is ridiculous. Club needs to get with the times.
  13. If this is what constitutes as swag these days then I don’t know anymore.
  14. Well, to be fair, you can’t miss the guy that hasn’t tucked his white t shirt in properly.
  15. Season is a write off, we’re not winning the PL. We can afford passengers.
  16. No, it has to be three years in total before you turn 21, not three years in a row.
  17. Would be a fantastic signing but we don’t do those sort of signings.
  18. Oh that we can agree on for sure. Think the closest we have to that right now is Azpi.
  19. I agree to the fact that Bakayoko has been extremely poor in general, but there have been tons of top players who made a very bad start to their careers at top clubs. I prefer to give Bakayoko some time (that’s the situation now, obviously we expected more), and I think Conte feels the same. He obviously believes in him enough to start him over Drinkwater who’ll just always be a decent player but nothing more.
  20. Conte sees them in training week in, week out. Drinkwater is a solid player but nothing more. Conte probably sees way more upside in Bakayoko playing, acclimating himself to the team and the English game, than playing a Drinkwater who doesn’t really add anything to the team either.
  21. Eden has his own aspirations and goals too - that might include playing for Real for example. Expanding on what I said, football players unfortunately aren’t loyal nowadays. Unfortunately Eden isn’t that Chelsea-daft. Can you honestly say that Eden has a real bond with the match going fans like JT or Lamps or Didier did? Unfortunately he doesn’t, or it doesn’t seem like that to me anyway whenever I do go to games. Footballers rather further their own aspirations (like Eden) or follow the money. I’m not too surprised by his comments, I should clarify.
  22. It doesn’t have to be three ‘straight’ years.
  23. I understand that but we also have to understand that Courtois and Hazard don’t live and breathe Chelsea. That’s how football is nowadays- all about the money.
  24. They’re sportsmen. They want to compete for the best things in said sport. They won’t be fighting to play for us if we’re not looking to compete.
