When you think about it, we don't have any real counter attacking threats going forward (unless when Schurrle is on), hence why I think Reus is a must buy because he'd add so much versatility to our game.
Even then, I don't think we can compare Oscar's and Willian's roles at number 10 to Fabregas'. Against Sporting, Fab played a lot more like a true number 10 since he effectively had two shields in Matic and Mikel behind him. He wasn't given the same duties as Willian or Oscar would usually have at #10.
Not when we're going forward. Fabregas controlled the game at the number 10 last game. I do agree he's better for us deeper but that doesn't mean he won't perform well in a more advanced position.
Solanke is a quality talent no question, doesn't have any weakness to his game whatsoever. If he develops well we'll have a very special player in the ranks.
Still feel like JT is underrated in general. Said it before but the best English CB in the PL era for me, based on his consistency especially. He's again having one of his best seasons and he's 34 now, it's incredible.
Next season I'd be looking at signing A CB, A ST to replace Drogba and Reus. We don't need anything else IMO - I'd rather have the likes of Boga, RLC, Ake, Baker etc. develop - truly think they can fill in enough.
Luiz has been very, very solid for PSG. One mistake in months and the haters are out again in full force... Gary Cahill would be slaughtered on a regular basis in a system like PSG's.
People need to stop seeing Mikel as a direct replacement for Matic. They're very different. You can't seriously expect Matic like things from Mikel, that's ridiculous.
It's much worse for us if they have the ability to prepare for games for a good week during the crunch period of the season whilst we have to prepare for mid week games.
Costa struggling a lot to be honest but what I like is how he isn't giving up. He's a bit out of form atm so things aren't happening but I'd rather him get played into form against a team like Sporting. Just needs a bit of luck.
