How is £16m completely overpaying for Luis? I hope you're not serious Choo. In regards to the rest of your post, all I have to say to that is the only way he's going to adapt to the physicality of the league and how we want him to defend is if he actually plays consistently. He certainly has it in him to be our number 1 left back if he adapts well. If you refuse to believe that the you've written off a quality player far too quickly.

Are you drunk?

As I said before... He's never going to adjust to the physicality of the league if he doesn't play in it. He needs a good spell of games. Can't believe people here think he can't defend all of a sudden... Just because he isn't Azpi level doesn't mean he can't defend. Cannot believe people on here are expecting him to put in a 10/10 performance when he's not been playing consistently. Overall, apart from the bad crossing (he's rusty, we all should know that he's got a great left foot on him) he was good for me, especially in the second half, linked up phenomenally with Cesc and Eden on that left side. For me he needs games. PL games.

Absolute genius. So unlucky today.
-
It's fine. They've got a very tough second half of the season.
-
City dropped points after being 2-0 up... Against Burnley, at home... Let that sink in... The invincible City not so invincible now are they?
-
What about our performance against West Ham then? Sam Allardyce is an excellent manager that really knows how to drill his side. We've done it enough times this season.
-
It's not like we didn't attempted the shots though. Southampton just made a lot of last ditch tackles that prevented the final shot from being taken. I honestly have no complaints simply because we tried hard today and just came up against a very well drilled side. It happens.
-
Also, why is everyone acting like City will forever be in good form? Wow. This place is just awful sometimes.
-
Why are people taking this "one shot on target" stat as gospel? There were plenty of chances we created that were only stopped with a last ditch tackle that prevented the shot. We created a lot, but Soton defended very well.

I thought Jose's XI today was fine, and we certainly reacted in the right way after going down and after HT. Just unlucky today. Not going to complain about anything Jose did tbh, doesn't deserve it for this game because we played well enough to win it, just wasn't our day.
-
We play like we did in the 2nd half against Newcastle and Sunderland and we win those games for sure.
-
Fine, ask questions in the relevant threads then, because the performance we put out today was good enough to win it, we were just very unlucky today. That 2nd half was the best we've played in some time (bar the West Ham game).
-
The overreaction on here is incredible, we were phenomenal in the 2nd half but just very unlucky. That's just football sometimes.
-
Mourinho always says this team is still working on that winners mentality... It's coming, be patient.
-
Fabregas and Hazard were phenomenal. So unlucky.
-
He hadn't done that bad lol?
-
Can we all appreciate how good Luis is going forward? Wow.
-
Replace him with Reus and we're set.
-
Mikel's extra defensive prowess and loss of creativity is countered by Luis' inclusion. Very nice XI IMO.

No Clyne, music to my ears.

Targett, kid is the new Luke Shaw.

I actually thought this was the Torres thread
