Chelsea target Frank Lampard tells Derby players his intention https://www.teamtalk.com/news/chelsea-target-frank-lampard-tells-derby-players-his-intention Frank Lampard has reportedly told his Derby players that he will quit to take over at Chelsea, as long as he gets the right offer. The Daily Express’ exclusive reports that the Chelsea legend has informed his squad that his departure to Stamford Bridge will more than likely happen with discussions underway. Lampard, who is 41 today, is understood to be Chelsea’s top target to replace Maurizio Sarrio, who was officially unveiled as Juventus coach this morning. Derby are yet to receive a formal offer for Lampard, but they want, per the source, £4million to release the former England midfielder from the remaining two years of his Pride Park deal. Derby owner Mel Morris stressed at the start of the week that the club wanted to keep Lampard as manager “for the long term”. However, the lure of a return to Chelsea appears too strong and the Championship club are believed to be preparing for Lampard’s exit, while Lampard, who is on holiday in the south of France, tries to negotiate himself a lucrative three-year deal in the capital. The Rams reportedly approached Steven Gerrard, who declined, while Charlton’s Lee Bowyer and John Terry at Aston Villa have just signed new deals, as they look for quick replacement. snip

unless they offer insane cash, I do not see this happening, as we are so light in the MF

Dominik Szoboszlai Superb young CMF/AMF at RB Salzburg Pacey, fairly tall (1.86m), great shot, great passer, had 11 goals, 10 assists all comps in only 1,689 minutes played. I would love to see him bought and loaned back until next year.Arse are sniffing hard. Dominik Szoboszlai – Player Analysis https://indexsharp.co.uk/dominik-szoboszlai/ Dominik Szoboszlai has reportedly been garnering interest from a host of elite clubs across Europe this summer. Bayern Munich, Juventus, Arsenal and Inter Milan are some of the teams who have been said to have an interest in the 18-year-old central midfielder. In this article, we will look as to why there is so much interest in the Hungarian. International Duty at an Early Age Impressing from a young age, Szoboszlai made 24 appearances across the U17’s, U19s, and U21s of the Hungarian youth set-up, scoring 9 goals. Notably, he made his U19’s debut when he was just 15 years old, and his U21’s debut at 16; just highlighting how highly he has been rated throughout his teenage years. At just 18 years, 4 months and 24 days; Dominik Szoboszlai became the youngest player to play for the Hungarian national side for 13 years. He made a substitute appearance against Slovakia in March, followed by his first start in the following game. In doing so, he became the first player born in the 2000’s to play for Hungary. Red Bull Salzburg In 2016, it was announced that Dominik Szoboszlai would join the RB Salzburg youth set-up for a reported fee of £450,000 from Videoton. It was 2017 however when he began to make a name for himself. He was the main figure in a RB Salzburg side, defending their 2016/17 UEFA Youth League title. He led the tournament in assists, with 6 assists and 1 goal in just 6 games. This, unfortunately, was not enough to see them retain their title. Apart from the UEFA Youth League, he spent the majority of 2016/17 at FC Liefering; a feeder club for RB Salzburg in the 2nd tier of Austrian football. He contributed 17 goals in 33 games in his first season, and continued to improve, contributing 10 goals in 9 games at the start of this season. Unsurprisingly, these were the last games he played in the Austrian 2nd division. He has took the step up the Salzburg senior squad for the remainder of the season and hasn’t disappointed. In his first 5 starts, the 18-year-old has 2 goals and 2 assists to his name. An impressive record for a central midfielder, especially at such a raw age. His performances rewarded him with a start in the Europa League against Napoli, where he contributed an assist within 25 minutes of his European debut. The game finished 3-1 to RB Salzburg, and Szoboszlai was given an 8.1 match rating, courtesy of WhoScored. Only Munas Dabbur was rated higher. Play Style The central midfielder has a naturally attacking mindset, as is reflected by his goal record. However, when looking further into his game, it’s noticeable that he contributes defensively, as well as going forward. Due to his 6’1 frame and ability on and off the ball, Szoboszlai’s play style has been likened to that of Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos. When delving further into his stats, it’s easy to see why these comparisons have been made. Through his first 5 starts for Salzburg, he has averaged 2.2 interceptions and 2.2 key passes per game. This, added to his 2 goals and 2 assists, emphasise just how significant the teenagers’ performances have been in both aspects of the game. His first European start was against a strong Napoli side featuring Allan and Fabian Ruiz in central midfield. He excelled in the middle of the park, assisting Red Bull Salzburg’s first goal in the 25th minute after a through ball to Munas Dabbur. In addition to his assist, he contributed heavily in all aspects of the game. He lead his side in both key passes (4) and interceptions (4), and played just 74 minutes. This was not just a one-off. In a recent league game, Szoboszlai scored and assisted in a man of the match performance against Sturm Gratz a few weeks later. Once again, he contributed multiple key passes and multiple interceptions; rightly earning his 2nd man of the match in just 5 starts. Below are a couple of clips from his man of the match performance against Sturm Gratz: Free Kick Specialist One attribute that makes the youngster stand out, is his ability from dead ball situations. Despite being 18, Szoboszlai has scored a plethora of free kicks from different areas of the pitch. In 2017, as captain of the U17’s, he scored 2 free kicks in just 7 minutes to come from 1-0 down to defeat Russia U17’s 2-1. His technique and composure were clear to see for someone who was just 16 at the time. Now 2 years older, he possesses more experience and is quickly progressing every year. snip

only concern I have is he is so slight of frame, with no Eden super-arse to bull his way through traffic, so I hope he can take the punishment as it is surely coming, the EPL is brutally physical, more so each and every year

so he is saying HAZARD was the weak link in the defence?????? laughable without Hazard Sarri would have been sacked by the time the christmas goose was going in the oven

people think we are unstable with managers, try the Spanish national team FOUR in 12 MONTHS, maybe 5 if Moreno is only used as a caretaker
-
It sounds like either he or someone in his family is really ill (maybe dying?) He just stepped down as the Spanish National team manager because of it, so he will never come work here until it is sorted, and if it is he himself who is really ill, he may never manage again if he doesn't recover.

Pašalić? He is Croatian, in the EU, no permit needed.

Until CHO is healthy, it is all down to Pedro (my first choice) and Willian, at LW. I think we are (I cannot believe I am typing this, sigh) mad as ass if we sell Willian this summer. We cannot roll with only 2 legit healthy wingers, and Willian is VASTLY superior to any other 3rd options we have (Moses, Kenedy, Musonda, Izzy Brown, Kasey Palmer).

I do not think you are disrespecting him personally just wanted to say that

One billion percent agree. And to pour salt on the wound their final offer was £65m. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/07/23/football-transfer-news-rumours-chelsea-consider-65m-barcelona2/ https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/football/chelsea-reject-latest-barcelona-bid-of-£65m-for-willian-as-blues-battle-to-keep-prized-asset-at-stamford-bridge/ar-BBL0ypC https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5977475/Barcelona-increase-Willian-offer-60m-plus-add-ons.html https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/718410/Chelsea-transfer-news-65m-Barcelona-bid-Willian-Jose-Mourinho-Man-Utd https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/7312698/chelsea-rejected-65m-bid-from-barcelona-for-willian-as-manchester-united-circle/ https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-5983585/Chelsea-REJECT-latest-Barcelona-bid-65m-Willian.html

Batshuayi spending his holiday hard at work for the upcoming Premier League season https://www.footballfancast.com/premier-league/chelsea/batshuayi-spending-his-holiday-hard-at-work-for-the-upcoming-premier-league-season While the majority of the footballing world is enjoying their long overdue holiday, Michy Batshuayi is hard at work in order to return to Chelsea as fit as possible. His loan spell at Crystal Palace is now coming to an end and if nothing changes in the meantime, Batshuayi will once again don the blue shirt come August. This 25-year-old shared an Instagram snap showing him knee-deep in training as opposed to many of his teammates relaxing and enjoying their holidays. Last season was a bit rocky for this forward – he managed only 11 appearances for Palace, scoring five goals and ending up with no assists to his name. But still, he split his tenure between the Premier League and La Liga throughout his previous campaigns, spending time at Valencia before joining Crystal Palace, both on loan spells, with mixed results. For the Bats, he played 23 games and scored three goals so a return to England was probably the best move for this young forward. His willingness to work hard even though he could be on a holiday is definitely a step in the right direction. snip

one of the BoP's (Board of Puppets) biggest cockups ever. In no order (and only post 2013, so no Shevchenko or Torres, etc) Paying fucking almost fucking £16m for a SIX MONTH LOAN of Higs (salary plus fees) when we could have bought Piatek OUTRIGHT for only £31m Drinkwater SIXTY-NINE MILLION QUID (salary plus fees) for this absolute rotter Selling De Bruyne (FOREVER EARNED MY HATE)<<<< number one rage of entire Roman period Selling Salah (less of fuckup than De Bruyne, due to not as clear he would become a huge top 10 player in the world at the time, but still a HUGE bawbag in the mouth) Morata, as weak as an Essex anorexic 16yo after a purge into her mums loo Baba/Emerson/Zappcosta aka 'How to shit away 60 million quid on 3 dodgy fullbacks in three easy steps' Losing £40 or £50m by waiting to sell Cuntois Buying back Luiz when we could have a far younger, better CB Not selling that cunt Alonso to Madrid for £45 or £50m last year Jury still out on Bakayoko, and Bats, but it looks like DOOM plus most ALL of the botched potential buys (do NOT get me started I will go full stop RADGE, grrrrrrrr) I will give them a pass on the Hazard non-sale as we should only end up with £60 or £70m less than what we could have had if we had sold him last year, ad it is doubtful we would have won the EL, and gotten 3rd place (and thus CL) without him, even with a 'replacement' (unless we went full billy big bollocks and bought Mbappe, which I personally would have done, IF we had wrenched out £190 or £200m for Eden and thus only had to drop around £75m or so more for Kylian). Those extra revenues make up for the loss on Eden sale..

Yet more evidence as to why I hate the Brasilian national team and their cuntish fans. It is always a joy when they crash out of any major tournament. Brazilian fans chant homophobic slur at Copa America opener https://apnews.com/64728a28d7734d888133c89ca707afba SAO PAULO (AP) — Brazilian fans have sung homophobic chants during Copa America’s opening match at the Morumbi stadium. Bolivian goalkeeper Carlos Lampe heard the slurs several times Friday, chanted by thousands of Brazil fans behind his goal in Brazil’s 3-0 victory. Homophobic chants were overlooked in South America until recently. They usually take place when the visiting goalkeeper runs to take a goal kick. Brazilian stadia started seeing a wave of homophobic chants after the 2014 World Cup the South American country hosted. Governing body FIFA has repeatedly fined the Brazilian soccer confederation for homophobic chants. snip

FIVE REASONS FRANK LAMPARD SHOULD NOT BE CHELSEA MANAGER – DEBUNKED! http://www.famouscfc.com/five-reasons-frank-lampard-shouldnt-be-chelsea-manager-debunked/ Chelsea fans are excited that Frank Lampard may be named our new manager but there are a few naysayers. Here are a few reasons Frank Lampard should not be Chelsea manager debunked. Reason #1 He’s Not Ready He may have only managed Derby County for one season but he has exceeded expectations and almost got an unfancied side promoted. There is actually some pedigree down the years for inexperienced managers coming good. At Chelsea Glenn Hoddle, Ruud Guillit and Gianluca Vialli kickstarted the revolution that led us where we are today. Lampard has footballing pedigree that goes beyond a CV, there is no guarantee he will succeed but he has a good a chance as anyone. He has also played under Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, Guus Hiddink, Sven Goran Erikson and many more in between. The man knows football. Reason #2 There Are Better Candidates snip

PSG is worse look at the insane money they burn and no non-French trophies other than these defunct MINOR Cups (as if you were in the CL or even the Europa League in the Intertoto case, you could not play in them) UEFA Cup Winners' Cup 1 1995–96 UEFA Intertoto Cup 1 2001

baby Treble Liga NOS was pure shit that year and he won the Europa league, not the CL Mo won the CL with them
