Chelsea want to sign Gabriel MEC. I swear i dont understand what's going on here. There is a lot of hype about him in his state, but when i watch his videos, i just cant see why. Is not in any way some special prospect in my opinion.

Knowing the argentinians very well, they're our neighbours, i wouldn't say the population is racist,  many of them are, like any country.
Their football environment  is another history. 
In the case of some of their players, fans and journalists, something happen that is very hard to explain to europeans. Many times they will say or do things that are obvioulsly racist to us, but they apparently are not aware of how serious things are. And is not like if the person is really racist on his/her normal life.  For example, when they talk about races and nationalities, they dont see it as a big deal. In general they will insult everybody, from germans to africans. Is not because some specific race.

Also when you compare with other youngster from the last years, he is much better than Vinicius Junior at same age. Its a huge difference.
Vinicius would look like Pelé one game, then would be awful for a month. Estevão is much more reliable because he is good every game. 
His first touch, overall technique are much better too. His level of finiishing is vastly superior even to the current version of Vini Jr.
Of course there is some aspect of a player that you can't measure and its a subjective realm. Vinicius Jr has an infinite stamina and you see he's 100% of time trying to cause problems. Rodrygo Goes for example looks indifferent many times. We will see in the future what type of player Estevão is. Its impossible to know now.

Never heard about him until this year. It could be because he is very young but, the people controling his career are Neymar and Neymar senior. Suddenly a lot of channels from the south of Brazil were making videos about him at same time, as if its some propaganda effort.
I think nobody should sign him until we see the player in the first team.

He seems to be very promising in fact. He is mediatic because he is a left footed CF. Its harder to find those players. But the U-17 who is considered the best in Palmeiras Academy is a winger named Estevao Willian, that people call "Messinho." His family  asked the media to not call him that way for obvious reasons. He is 15yo too. Plays in the U-17. Is really good.

Its probably true because Espn Brazil is very reliable and the journalist is friend of Neymar senior, and Messi said in the end of last transfer window that Bartomeu was not doing enough to sign Neymar.
