Agree. I was afraid they peaked against Arsenal at The Emirates but they're doing really well. Such pace in their counter-attacking and the commitment in their defending is amazing.

Real definitely better than Atletico. Real with 3 or 4 great opportunities to score but Oblak is having a fantastic game. But they should've scored. Atletico trying to hit Real on the break but they're too slow in committing men forward, so the moves break down pretty early. Madrid's midfield is running the game. Juventus - Monaco is more evenly matched. Juventus have been limited to shots from outside the box for the most part, but had 2 brilliant chances to score. Poor finishing on both accounts. Monaco looking very dangerous on the counter, creating some decent opportunities. One great chance to score, but failed to score. The pace and dynamism in both games is great though.

Two fantastic first halfs. Gotta love the CL.

A lot of them are an entitled bunch. I find them annoying and can't take them seriously. They have big mouths for consistent losers.

Fair enough. But Van Ginkel's career started before Chelsea of course. I didn't see anything in his time at Vitesse to suggest the makings of a future world class player. You can never predict these things of course, but you base the potential of a player on their performances. Van Ginkel wasn't even the best player in the Eredivisie, let alone one of the better players the league has seen in recent years. Not a great talent for me. So I'm willing to say he's not top side material. I don't mind looking like a fool if he ends up proving me wrong.

Money, money, money. You appoint Mourinho for results. If you want youth coming through, you have to appoint someone else. That's why I don't think the likes of Solanke, Boga etc. have a chance.
-
He'll be 18 by next season I think. You're right about him still being young, but only a super talent is going to make it here. If he is not good enough to be a third option, playing a handful of games over a full season, he's not making it.
-
The youngsters could teach the seniors a thing or two.
-
We're at two completely different ends here. I don't believe in lucky league champions.

Excuse for what exactly? This Chelsea side is not a great team, that's true. But there is an immense pressure that comes with being on top all the time. Everyone wanting you to fall and teams trying their hardest not to drop points because their facing the league leaders. The likes of Arsenal and Utd have played a good amount of games this season in which they weren't taken as seriously and having to deal with less intensity. There's been plenty to critcize this season, but there is also plenty to praise. I can be a bit harsh on Mou, but sometimes you just have to stop, sit back and really look at what has been achieved this season. It's been a season of two halves, but you can't ignore the first half of the season. It was a while ago so it's easily forgotten, but it still counts. Plenty of room for improvement, definitely. Bringing in more quality will be key. If not, I have a hard time believing in seeing real progression. And hopefully more adventure. We'll see how Mourinho does next season.

Chelsea have been on top throughout the entire season. The entire Premier League season. Mourinho and the team deserve more respect.
-
Of course. But that's like saying, Chelsea wouldn't be on top without Hazard. That's what key players are for. They have a good team overall. Koscielny, Cazorla, Ozil, Giroud have all been key. Even Coquelin, adding the steel and bite they've been lacking for so long. I still don't understand how that happened. He was a Championship player. But this is typical Arsenal though. To perform when they're ruled out. No pressure. I want to see them perform from the start, saying they'll go for the title. But again, they're never fit over a full season, so it's hard to rate their true quality.
-
Arsenal are a good team. Their problem is the fitness of their squad. When they're fit, they perform well and get the results. But that's never the case over the course of a season.
-
Hmm... If Solanke is not a better 3rd choice option than Drogba next season, he has no chance of succeeding here. As for Drog, if Remy is still here next season, I guess having him here with a very minor role is okay.
-
It's not criticism. Playing Zouma up front would 'allow' a long ball approach for the last part of the game, that's something Mourinho has opted to do many times (referring to long ball football).
-
Is it? Playing Zouma up front and launching long balls forward sounds very much like Mourinho to me.
-
I can already imagine that thug Fellaini causing all kinds of trouble. Would like to see Zouma marking him, Mikel is too slow and soft for me.
-
Couldn't help but smile like a maniac when he came on. I hope Lamps enjoyed his time in City colours.
-
Fellaini and his damn elbows, so annoying.
-
My goodness, it's like they're at a funeral. They actually air this on television?
-
Cutie pie down below. Something about a girl playing with her hair. The Queens really have the worst shirt in the world. I wouldn't want to be caught dead wearing something like that.
-
Quiet yet decisive. Eden wants the title.
-
Not what he used to be, but can't afford to be dropped right now. Manage to beat Utd and Arsenal and there's room for flexibility.
