  1. MrE has a point. Willian dribbles sideways and backwards most of the time, he doesn't really dribble forward. As in, getting past players standing in front of him. That said, he's been great and deserves all the credit for his performance.
  2. Fantastic display by Willian today, especially in the second half. He was so direct and attacked with purpose and speed. It turns him into a completely different player. He took over from Hazard today, who was quiet. More of the same, please.
  3. I made a point about that. If this Drogba is a better player than Solanke and a better third option next season, he's not a very big talent. At least, not the level that has a chance of breaking through at Chelsea.
  4. Mourinho is the one playing them. Allowing them to move further forward would also improve the wing play, they're so deep... Lack of pressing has also been an issue. Whenever the ball is lost, the players move backwards. The complete opposite of the first half against Arsenal. Leicester can't play under pressure, they would crumble if the same intensity was shown today.
  5. Well, that was not good. Chels are turning not shooting into an art form. This side just can not attack the flanks. It's as if it's not part of their training. It's been too narrow and slow. So slow. Drogba has been awful, embarrassing performance. This is a game that can easily be lost if the team doesn't seriously turn up after the break.

  7. I don't even understand this recent 'boring Chelsea' blow up. According to many, Chelsea have been boring for over 10 years. So why make a big deal about it now? Neutrals and those that dislike/hate the club weren't exactly enjoying Chelsea's 09/10 title, or giving credit for the way it was won. They'll always find something to complain about. Result of envy I guess.
  8. Ivanovic jumping up and down like a little girl at the end haha. Judging by the reaction, they've been trying to do that for a very long time and it finally worked.
  9. Best rumour ever. It should be virtually framed.
  10. Mourinho or Koeman for me. Mourinho would win more votes and receive more credit if he was more likeable, that's just how the world works.
  11. I'm not familiar with Independent. Are they considered reputable as a paper? This is horrible. Comparing an attacking midfielder, a player that creates space and chances with strikers and finishers. Lampard scored 16 goals and provided 9 assists in 05/06, and won the league (not just winning the league, but winning it a second time in a row). Yet Gerrard won with 10 goals and 5 assists. I'm sure there were no complaints or questioning of his quality then. Robbery! Drogba scored 29 goals and provided 10 assists in 09/10, and won the league. Yet Rooney won with 26 goals and 3 assists. Same story. Robbery! Bale played behind the striker in 12/13, scoring 21 goals and providing 4 assists, finishing outside of the top 4. The difference in goals+assists compared to Hazard is 4. Yet Bale was hailed as if he was the new Ronaldo. And don't get me started on Bale and Giggs winning in 08/09 and 10/11. There are 5 games left. Hazard should be able to manage two goals and two assists, bringing his total to 15 goals and 10 assists in the league. A fine return. Hazard might not be not the most impressive POTY winner as an individual, but he is the star player of a side that has dominated the league from start to finish. Never disappearing. That says a lot more than goals and assists. And there is still more to come with Hazard.
  12. Justice after being robbed in 05/06 and 09/10. Happy for Eden.
  13. You're probably right, but I don't want to believe it. Hit Leicester with that same intensity in the first half as against Arsenal, and 2 goals before half time should be possible. Something similar to the QPR game would be terrible.
  14. I think both teams will drop a few more points. I can't imagine Utd out of the top 4 two years in a row though. Utd out of the top 4 would be more benificial for Chels, but I like/respect Utd a lot more than Liverpool. That said, I don't really care either way.
  15. Please don't make this game harder than it should be. Two wins. The league should be won vs Palace.
  16. You think they get waxed as well? Ballon d'Or is the worst. It's become an entire event, even though it's all about that very last bit of the extravaganza. I knew we'd lose
  17. Award shows... Can't they just say who won and get on with it? Leave the glamour and fakeness to Hollywood. I'm going back to my cave.
  18. It was a game of two halves. The bus was parked in the 2nd half, but that definitely wasn't the case in the first half. They'll ignore the first half though. Not that it was a good performance on the ball today from Chelsea's side. Arsenal were poor too. Cazorla's shot late in the 2nd half was their best chance. There was the Welbeck opportunity from up close very late, but he didn't touch the ball. The only fans I'd consider taking seriously in the league are the Utd fans. Utd is a winning club. Liverpool, Arsenal are irrelevant.
  19. They're the last set of fans you want respecting you. They can kiss our trophies.
  20. Vintage JT performance. He'll eventually leave some massive boots to fill.
  21. That second half was more like I expected the game to be. But whatever, a draw is more than fine.
  22. True. When you dive in like that, you're arm automatically moves up. There's nothing he can do about that.
  23. Pleasantly surprised with the approach today. No defending deep, containing, hoofing the ball forward 'tactical football', but energetic, intense, pressing football. Very strong performance off the ball. Not so much on the ball for the most part unfortunately. Looking a little out of ideas on the ball, and you can tell there's a lack of a reference point up top. But a win is definitely possible here. Oscar - Ospina clash was a penalty. Fabregas - Cazorla, mmm.. not so sure. Definite contact, but he went down easy. Could've given it, but I don't blame the ref for not getting it right. Ramires should've scored after that brilliant ball from Willian. Hazard has been surprisingly poor, nothing's working for him. I would like to see Willian on the left more and Hazard in the middle. But then again, Willian is doing a lot of covering for Fabregas. Cesc is really fired up btw, he's all over the place. And Terry has been excellent. Such an intelligent defender. Anyway, more of the same in the second half, please. But a bit more composure on the ball. It's a bit too hectic and rushed.
