Too many drama queens on here that have more of an agenda about all Mr negative José! The bottom line is they really want him out and it is clouding their normal balanced judgement, Le Saux is in a position where he has to be squeaky clean, so why the feck does he has to be so foolish to make unnecessary comments about his former club's manager where he has held such an esteemed position as ambassador, I keep reading on here that José shouldn't be saying this or that because he is in a position of responsibility, he's also damaging the club through poor poxy PR and won't defend him even when he is 100% correct in his outspoken views sometimes, yet they're defending Le Saux.....pffft!
As for tonight, I wouldn't be at all surprised if there was a few crossed words between Jose & Costa, cus for me Costa has his head up his arse at the mo & I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him sold in January cus the way he is playing looks like he's angling for a move and I'm not convinced about Hazard either, I really hope I'm wrong, I'm seeing genuine effort from most of our players recently but Costa & to a lesser extent Hazard don't seem fully committed, most prob won't agree - fair enough but when I see young players like Kenedy and Baba giving their all with vibrant displays, trying to impress with a youthful commitment and then I see talented players that look like they 'can't be arsed' it doesn't sit well with me!

One last time, money isn't the problem.
RDM and AVB were sacked ( although the diplomatic reason "mutual agreement" might suggest otherwise, the results were clearly the reason ).
Apparently, both had a clause stating that they could be sacked without receiving all the salary left in their contract if results are bad.
Now let's try and analyze that, "apparently", no official statement to support that, but seriously, do you people think that that's how it works in elite clubs ? You know what that would mean ? That every top club manager could just stop caring and working hard and cash in way earlier than he would normally, managers would be just way too over protected against clubs, and that's absolutely not how it works ( except if we all assume that all clubs are dumb, and that all managers are honest enough not to exploit that loophole, it's just too naïve to be true ).
All managers have a minimum of objectives to reach, and they all have clauses in their contract that protect the club in case of bad results, reports suggest they were activated in our last 2 sackings, RDM and AVB, which would make sense since what had happened with Ancelotti before ( although results weren't that bad in the end of the year, for sure ).
Now do you guys believe that the club is dumb enough not to put those kind of clauses in the managers contract ? Even if his name is Mourinho ? Sorry, I just can't get my head around that fact, it looks absolutely dumb and naïve for me, just the typical stories the media would improvize in order to assist their totally random theories ( when I say random, means with no official statement and/or reliable source ).
So yeah, José probably has that clause in his contract.
But you know what, let's assume he doesn't.
Sacking José means him probably not going for a job until summer 2016, at least, let's go even further and assume the guy wants to take a sabatical, so he will find a job in 2017 ( if Moyes still can find a job, of course Mourinho can too ), that gives the club just 1 year and a half of salary left to pay him ( again, under the assumption that José takes a sabbatical, which is pretty unlikely if you ask me, judging by the man's natural challenging spirit, say he wants to stand by his father in these tough times, okay ).
His contract expires in 2019, so it would be 30M£ over a little less than 4 years ( assuming the numbers speculated are true ), if we calculate the equivalent over 10 months ( assuming he works next summer ) or a year and half ( taking a sabbatical ), it would cost the club respectively 7M£ or 12-13M£ to sack him.
Do you think that's a lot for the club ? I don't think so.
Remember, we assumed Chelsea didn't put a performance clause that would protect the club's results AND we assumed that he's willing to take a sabbatical, and concluded Roman and the board would "only" have to pay a maximum of 15M£ to sack him if that's really the right decision.
Now if you want my opinion, I think, once again, it's pretty naïve and dumb to believe in these theory which just prove to be absolute nonsense when you take time to analyze it, and if you don't know the media guys, well they aren't dumb, nor naïve, they just don't give a shit since it helps them make their stories, thus "prove" ( let's all laugh at the credibility of this word to the journos ) their stories, and sell more ( in case of digital media, generate more clicks, more buzz around their stories, thus more sponsors, just to make it simple ).
I am pretty convinced the club has total faith in José, because we just proved that money isn't the problem, and had the club been waiting for the situation to be highly critical to act, well then José would'be been sacked post-Southampton. That statement was made for the media, and not for José, he said it himself, and I think it's pretty fair to assume that the club communicates in a more formal, internal and private way with their employees, I don't think it was to "reassure him" or "put their trust in him", I think he knew that way before reading the statement ( he said he knew he was staying before going to diner with Roman the night just after the game ).
So yeah, to sum it up, I believe the club puts absolute faith in Mourinho and stand by him, because all the evidence and common sense suggest that there is absolutely no obstacles had the club wanted to sack him, and that puts smile on my face, because it's the first time in the Roman era that a manager is allowed second chances, a lot of them, sure, but then again, if José doesn't deserve second chances, who does ?

Make arguments if you want, but please don't try to pass pseudo stuff as fact. The only clubs where he has been 3 years at least are Chelsea and Madrid. And no, they did not implode during that time.
Our matches have been mostly embarrassing this time around, but this so-called '3rd season syndrome' is one of the many things used to blow the situation ridiculously out of proportion.

The club has a big decision to make and there are two ways to go:

    1) back him COMPLETELY or
    2) sack him IMMEDIATELY

Any other middle solution is bad for the players and the club and an insult to Jose. It's like having an unstable relationship with someone who could break up with you any moment. Why would you invest more time and energy in the relationship then?

Don't back him for 50% or 1 month and let him and the players in an anxious mood, don't give the manager and players the feeling that any important game could be the last game with Jose. First the players who admire him will try everything to safe their manager (West Ham, Stoke), but once the results aren't coming they will lose confidence and some weak minded players might even give up. ''Why should I track back when Jose will be sacked soon anyway?''

Since it's obvious that I am in the ''Mourinho IN'' camp, I will only clarify what is backing him COMPLETELY:

    - Make an internal statement to Jose + the group of players that Jose will remain as the manager no matter what. (to take away the pressure, anxiousness and re-motivate the weak minded players)

    - Support him in full for the January window, and give him a fair chance to rebuild from there. (Compensation for the horror summer window)

    - Optional: Kill the media rumors that has a bad influence on the fans and players : Make a stronger media statement that Jose is the man for this job and the club wants to keep him for years no matter what happens this season. (the first statement was short and weak, it was a good example of a 50% backing statement)

    - Reassess Jose's position in the summer: the above statements are of course half fake ''no matter what'' has its bottom line, the club can't relegate for example.

So back him or sack him, no middle way please.

Well I can think if a few things.
he defends the club practically like a fan. People want to moan that he always says the wrong things for a professional manager but won't accept that it's synonymous with him wearing his heart on his sleeve - like a fan does. Carlo, AVB, RDM, Benitez and Hiddink wouldn't speak about the FA'S consistency. Regardless of how far you agree only a fool will turn his back on how Mourinho gets fined for one interview while Wenger gets away with worse. Fans appreciate a manager who speaks out.
every loss hits him like a fan. He's dejected, his face is the same as any blues fan after a defeat - your average manager simply takes it as a disappointing day.
out of all the clubs he had, he could never stop talking about us. People getting butthurt about one comment on Inter should imagine what they and Madrid fans felt like having our name mentioned as much as he did.
how many fans and managers have a relationship like most blues have with Jose? How many slap the club crest on their chest when they win? How many managers get teary when 40,000 chant his name on the first day of a season?
The list goes on. Its funny when doubters want to have a good discussion on the pros and cons on him staying, yet when the Yes camp turn they eye on the bad it seems the no camp are just as stubborn to turn there eyes from the good.

What message would it bring if the club sacks him?
He is the CURRENT double winner of the EPL and COC cup, what club will sack their double winning manager?
The club fucked up this summer, starting by the stupid post season tour knowing the league starts 1 week earlier. Followed up by a stupid window, letting CECH go to Arsenal, not signing the players Jose wanted, slowing things down with the Baba transfer and signing Papy as the defensive solution on deadline day.
The club knows what manager Jose is, he needs his type of players to succeed. Those are top class players in their prime age or young world talents. You can't give a Sushi chef ingredients to cook Pizza and expect him to succeed.
The club owes him a January window to fix this mess and should rethink his position at the end of the season. He deserved it to fix his own mess, he has brought us so many happy moments and trophies.

    ^ True that
On a side, I'm just glad Mourinho gave the media the silent treatment. I'm not trying to find excuses for Mourinho or the players, but the way the media works in this country is that they like to aggravate a problem to generate more problems...
Why else would they come up with crap headlines like "Hazard hasn't scored in the last x games..." I mean he's a winger ffs,..and then they proceed to try and widen the rift between manager and player(s).

Sooner people start to come to grips with the fact that we most likely won't finish in the top 4 the less anger and sadness you'll feel. A few weeks back I finally realized that I was taking this too seriously. I was fucking raging like I never have in my life about our situation. Then I remembered it's just a game and that getting so worked up about it is silly.
I've now accepted that we're having a "Moyes" season (still think we'll end up somewhere around where he finished) and am calm. I think sacking him for anyone other than Guardiola would be a step down and it could set us back into rebuilding mode for a season or two.
Like José said in his press conference yesterday, Chelsea aren't suddenly going to become a small club overnight if we go a single season without CL football. Grit your teeth and just bare with it. It's bad but not the end of the world.

Klopp: "But I had a similar situation at Dortmund last year but the good thing was that nobody at the club was in doubt about my position."

Klopp: "I never felt pressure so we could change the situation. It’s work but we were here for 3 pts & not changing the situation for #cfc."
