Congrats to the lads for this game, good result despite what many say, Barca are a very good side, lets not kid ourselves, all they need is one chance and its a shame Christensen made that mistake for Barca's equalizer, and Messi of all people scored ( finally broke his duck against us, it was bound to happen one day right? ), but it can happen, who hasnt made mistakes in defense? Andreas will learn from this, he's still young with great room for improvement, but already so assured and matured in defense. What more can i say? the team were very solid and organized, William was simply magnificent, very good goal, could have had a hattrick today imo, we were very unlucky not to win this game. We definitely shut up all who wrote us off before the game, i always believed. Its still all to play for in the 2nd leg, altough it will be much harder because of Barca's away goal, but if there is one team who can defy the odds its us, lets just hope we can get a decent result at the Camp Nou. this match up was bound to happen again sooner or later, its been long overdue, our previous meetings with Barca were nothing short of epic, damn i miss those days, time flies so fast. Regarding Tuesday's game, i feel we have a good chance against them, need to start on the right foot, we wont see too much of the ball, but thats's why we need to be at our absolute focused best, try to soak any kind of pressure, try to force them in to any mistakes and hit them on the break with devastating effect. We can do this, we have the players for it, we just need to have that winning mentality that got us trough many tough teams in the past. if im being honest with you i will say Courtois based on what he has done so far in his career and his cv, but he casting doubts over his future, has made me think he's not fully commited with us and he will probably be gone sooner than later, lets hope not of course. i understand your point, one of the things most of us dislike is the revolving door of managers, yes it got us plenty of trophies but at what cost? we all would love to see some stability at the club for a change, but it has been the standard set by Abramovich, get results or you're out, no world class manager will last long here, and doesnt have the will or trust to stay here, can you imagine Guardiola being here? its a shame managers cant last long, it sets a bad precedent for any manager coming here, he knows he has to play russian roulette in order to survive, it really is a toxic environment for any manager.
