Allison would be a upgrade tbh, especially for Sarri system and playing from the back. i would welcome that trade
-
assuming Bakayoko is not sold.
-
I have hardly seen Savic play, but from the match compilations i have seen, he is more in the mold Hamsik and Ziellnski. More of an advanced CM, contributes more in the final third than in the buildup. The issue i see with Seri, he is such Arsenal type signing or should i say more recent Chelsea signing. Could be a good player but won't be elite. doesn't have the creativity or vision to reach that level.
-
He was fantastic last season, this season he has been quite meh especially since January. All in all i think he could be a good rotational midfielder, but anyone expecting him to be a elite player will be quite disappointed. Jorginho is miles better than him, especially from a defensive standpoint.
-
Cesc is not going anywhere, perish the thought.
-
Obviously the midfield needs major reinforcement, it should be priority number 1 this summer. Cesc should be a part time player and Bakayoko should be shipped out. I am not sure why you even suggest that. For some reason it escapes some of you, Sarri is not being hired to get the best out all of the players we have and change his tactics to fit the players. He is being hired to bring a new direction to the team, he is being brought to change Chelsea. Some players will greatly will benefit, and some will be out of place.
-
4-3-3 is optimal for possession so it is fair assumption that this is what Sarri would do. I disagree with your point about Conte, Conte at first attempted to change his tactics to fit the Chelsea team. During the Arsenal game, he want with what he knows best and that is what changed our season. He obviously found players that greatly benefited from the change.
-
Might be compared to the latter but Depay is probably the best player to come out of the league for a while. I didn't think any those players were ever going to a top player, including Depay. So it wasen't about the steps they took, they were just never going to be good enough. I think Ziyech can be special player in Sarri team, if you disagree i guess we see things differently.
-
Jump from Eredivise to EPL for playmakers hasn't been successful recently (Delay, Klaassen, etc). I wasen't too high on them, and they were poor fits tbf. Ziyech is really on a another level to them.
-
I think the jump would be too big for Ziyech right now I really don't, i think he would be ideal to play the Hamsik/zielinski role that Sarri had Napoli. Just a great fit that i can't see going wrong.
-
Really wish we can go after Hakim Ziyech, he would flourish under Sarri. One of the most creative players in Europe. Ideally i want us to add Jorginho and Ziyech to our midfield.
-
Huge difference here, City negotiated with Pep in January, while much of the season was going on. in our case, the season is over. Everything at this point is a formality, club is likely negotiating Conte buyout too.

1. Bigger issue is the league knows him better. The reason he was wildly successful in his first season was due to the fact the league was unprepared for him and was still adjusting to his tactics and mainly formation. The league has figured him out, and next year the league will be mored adjusted to him. If he is retained that doesn't necessarily mean the board support him. More likely if he is retained is due to financial reasons. 2. Not sure this is a good argument for Conte, the better argument you could make that Conte should have been sacked earlier in the season. If he was sacked we could have been secured a CL comfortably with the way Liverpool and Spuds were self destructing. 3. What makes you think there is no issues with the players. He sold our best striker at the beginning of the season, and casted out David Luiz. In fact you could make a much more compelling case most of the players are tired of him. Even Cahill wouldn't back him publicly after the FA cup. Conte will always blame the board that is what he always do, he did the same shit at Juventus. Juve are arguably one of the best managed clubs, and he hated them and blamed them anytime his signing failed. 4. Not going to respond to this, just going to say the football we played this season is the worst i have seen as a Chelsea fan. 5. Actually if you believe writers like Matt Law and Simon Johnson, Hazard does not want to play for Conte. The issue is Conte doesn't know what better players are, Morata and Bakayoko were his primary target and they awfully disappointed. Our issue is not spending like Conte wants us to believe. It is shit signing like Morata, Bakayoko, Drinkwater, Zippacosta, Alonso, etc. 6. This is an awful take, Sarri would be a much more disarable coach to play under. His tactics are what the majority of footballers want to play under. Look at the players at Napoli how much they improved under him, imagine what he could do with some of the best talents in the world. This is by the far biggest issue i see with Conte, i can't imagine top players wanting to play under him. He stays Hazard is gone, and so is Willian. The only players he will sign is more donkeys.
-
I think you need your head checked out if you want to see Conte staying, but for argument purposes I actually want to hear the argument for him staying. because honestly I can’t see any.
-
Lewa is top 10 all time Champions League scorer, 10 goals away from climbing to top 5. He didn't have a great CL campaign this season, but the past two years before he scored 8 goals in 9 games, and 9 goals in 12 goals. Pretty much on par with his Bundesliga goal scoring ratio. Diego Costa didn't produce in the CL, but was plenty effective in PL. i bet you wouldn't make the same assessment.
-
Think anyone wanting Conte to stay is mental. Playing style is dog shit, so bad that i miss Mourinho tactics, impressive accomplishment honestly. He stays we lose our two best players Hazard and Courtois. Top attacking players would not want to play for him, and he will sign more donkeys like Bakayoko, Drinkwater, Alonso and Morata. He has no plan, his tactics and formation has been found out and he is too stubborn to change them. He did the same thing at Juventus, sign a bunch of donkeys than blamed Juventus board for their failure.
-
Chelsea is still an elite club, many of top managers would job on board easily. If they go with Jokanovic, it surely means they believe in him and is a good fit. Conte(Juve), Sarri(Napoli), Simeone(Atletico), Zidane(Madird), and Guardiola(Barcelona) were coaching at 2nd tier leagues before they become a known commodity at those clubs.
-
Bakayoko, Drinkwater, Zappacosta, etc were the playeres that Conte wanted. He always prefer hard working and athletic players, no one fault but his own. His football brand and player management is unattractive also. Top players wouldn't want to play for him. No question we need to spend more, but more importantly we need to spend smarter to begin with.
-
Cesc and Jorginho can play together, no reason why they can't. The majority of PL clubs will play ultra defensively.
-
I get what you are saying. My point basically is this game had a thin line between a win, draw, and a loss. We didn't create decent amount of clear cut chances, and the opposition basically had 70% of possession. Easy to see this game going numerous ways. As we have seen so many times this season. I will concede though, this could be considered a great performance considering the standard we have played this year and under the current manager.
-
You really don't believe that.
-
If Sarri is our next manager, it will be interesting to see Hazard playing under a attack minded coach for once. Hazard is the better player, but no doubt Salah has had the better season. As for the game, great result but disagree with being a great performance. This game could easily could have been a draw or a loss on another night.
-
Who is to say we will play two man midfield next season? The three top manger candidates are Sarri, Jardim, and Enrique(meh). All three of them prefer a 3 man midfield. And i do prefer Jorginho too, wanted him for years.
-
Sarri is good choice, but i slightly prefer Jardim.
-
Bakayoko has not played one game for us and really had one good full season, also arriving in a new league. It is immense amount respect many are showing him, believing he is already a undisputed starter and no need for quality players to challenge him.
