  1. No he hasn't, he struggled in Serie A with Juve. Didn't lock up a starting role with them, most memorable for a few good games in the CL on the back of Tevez. You can say whatever you want, the fact is we paid a club record fee for a benchwarmer. No way around that.
  2. No comparison between Sanchez and Morata. One was a regular at Barca, incredible with Chilie, and shown so much in his career. While you can not say any of those about Morata.
  3. From a risk and reward concept absolutely. Mbappe is already one of the best and huge potential. Mbappe could walk into any starting squad with the exception of Barca, and possibly Madrid. How about Morata at age 25? He has neither great potential or great body of work. Madrid fans i know are calling it their best piece business since signing Ronaldo. Only Madrid fans who are gutted are those who are sentimental because he is a Castilla product.
  4. The real winner is Real Madrid, impressive business by them. They are selling Morata and Danilo, two players never deemed good enough for them for Mbappe the best prospect since Neymar. Unbelievable how good Don Perez is at this thing. Years ago was laughed at, now no one can question his genius. For Chelsea it is a immense risk; a player who has never proven to lead the line at nearly age 25. Most valuable as a backup striker or in striking partnership.
  5. Aguero has already stated he wants to return to Argentina at the end of his contract(2019). Dont want to deal with another striker that already wants out of England.
  6. Think at the end of the summer Morata will stay put at Real Madrid.
  7. First refusal clause is absolutely useless, good for tabloid nonsense stories but in reality very impractical. In fact i can't recall an instance where it was used. If Griezmann prefers another club rather than coming to Chelsea that clause becomes obsolete. There is no way a transfer happens without the player consent. Second if another club bids higher than Chelsea. Atletico are going to sell to them, again the clause becomes useless. You don't need that clause to buy Griezmann ,if we bid the highest and player wants to come to Chelsea than they will sell to us. This clause maybe helpful between two rival clubs, instances where two clubs do not like selling player to each other. Real Madrid and Barcelona, and other domestic rivals.
  8. Many factors comes in to play. Bakayoko has two years left on his contract, he was not renewing. Monaco were more willing to sell, and he is a cheaper option. On the other hand Fabinho is under long term contract, only considering to sell at the right price. No rush for Monaco to sell regarding him. Also they are different players; Bakayoko is more of a sitting midfielder but versatile enough that can drive forward. Meanwhile Fabinho is much more of a true B2B midfielder. Also there is also characteristics differences here too. I think many of those factors were at play and why Chelsea chose Baka.
  9. Conte also regularly started Kante, What is your point? I pointed out how Fabinho has strived with or without Bakayoko and has done it for years. The relationship between Fabinho and Drinkwater is insanely off base. Anyway i think Bakayoko suits us fine, he brings a physical presence to our midfield.
  10. Haven't been following this for a couple of weeks now, what is the latest? Yea or Nay?
  11. This is a really bad post. Fabinho has been fantastic for a few couple of years now, its Bakayoko who has only shinned this season. Jardin has also constantly picked Fabinho in midfield while sometime rotating Bakayoko with Moutinho. Also the math on this forum is really bad. Fabinho is not 2 years older, he is only less then a year older. Bakayoko turns 23 in August, while Fabinho turns 24 in October.
  12. I watch a lot of Real Madrid games, there are many players i would take at Chelsea who are on Real Madrid bench. So there is nothing wrong with that. Morata is decent, i don't think he is good enough to lead the line by himself. I don't understand your second point. You realize Asensio, James, and Isco are much more creative players to play with than Bale and Ronaldo? You are far more likely to score when those two are not on the pitch. Real rotated their players; James, Isco, Asensio, Kovacic, and Lucas are all very good players. So much damn quality on that bench.
  13. Not saying much tbh, the fact one could make an argument for Moses says a lot about that position.
  14. W The girl response at the end toward the :39th mark was very cringeworthy, just awful acting. That for me made that video really bad, without it would have been solid. Should have left that part out.
  15. If we can't sign Sandro, Nice LB Dalbert would be very interesting.
  16. Meh we won 2 PL titles in 3 years without them. We wouldn't have some of the same players if they had stayed. ex; Cesc and Costa. We are where we are, and with the right transfers the club can take more steps forward. The player i regret the most is Flipe Luis, still divesting how poorly he was utilized.
  17. @MrExcalibur100 What happened man?
  18. Ideally i wouldn't want Costa to stick around. But i do not see the advantage of selling him for peanuts to Atletico and paying double-triple that amount for a striker that might not even be an improvement. Lukaku and Morata don't impress me, enough has being said about Lukaku and Morata has done absolutely so little at age 25. Belotti is the most interesting one, i think he will do well in the PL but very tough to pay what Torino are asking for. Taking huge risk there. Also i really believe O.Dembele is a player we should be targeting, great player already and potential to be one of the best in the world.
  19. Really good scenario if Costa and Conte reconcile. You would save yourself 80-100m, and you can reinforce other positions with that money. For example test Dortmund for Dembele.
  20. Smells like BS to be honest, Telegraph says 10m is what United will give him and Chelsea less than that. So likely just a few differences, seems odd to put your number one target at odd with his agent. You are paying 75m+ add ons, what is a few million in all of this.
  21. I hope it's bs. How embarrassing for Chelsea and United, a decade ago both club was competing in the CL final and were the pinnacle of club football. Now both bidding a world fee for that donkey Lukaku. No wonder PL is a joke and miles behind the best teams in Europe.
  22. He wasn't clear, i think he meant the picture is photoshopped. You will notice the skin color change around his neck.
  23. They want to buy Mbappe though, and there is that. Can they keep him? yes, but not sure if that is ideal for either side.
  24. Kinda goes both way though. Chelsea have more options than Madrid have if they want to sell Morata. And the player definitely wants to leave.Milan and United were heavily linked with Morata, but now both are off the market. If not Chelsea who are they going to sell to? They could keep him, but the player wants to leave and that is a unfamiliar territory for Madrid. Also we also have the option of keeping Costa, unlikely it may seem now but i seriously doubt they will let Costa go without proper replacement.
