Messi signing for Chelsea is a dream scenario, and not happening in reality. But if it possible to sign him, club should do everything to make it happen. Should Chelsea sign the best player in the world? The answer is an easy yes.
-
So you prefer Lukaku over the best player in the world and the best ever?
-
The club announced it and made farewell video. I guess this could all reverse itself. But to say “ I don’t see it happening at all.”
-
We are bidding for Messi?
-
There is literally no chance of that happening; too much money and imo he is still the best player in the world. He can go to Rosario any time, it would be unimaginable for him to make that move.

I’ll be honest I have not seen much of Lukaku at Inter, but every time I have seen him I don’t come away thinking he has changed. Look you are trying too hard to undue Lakuku reputation, he has a reputation for scoring goals but overall play seriously lacking. You are painting Lukaku as a great overall player, which he is not. Best case scenario Lukaku lives up to his reputation as a goal scorer against weak sides. I don’t want Lukaku, but if he lives up to that I would be content.
-
Dude just use your brain, Lukaku struggled to connect a few passes together under Mourhino. Imagining him doing it on a team that heavily involves their striker is a complete joke. why did Pep made such comment? You don’t know Pep very well, he is very generous toward managers and players that he perceive as no threat to him. While he responds differently to managers and players that are competitive toward him. pep is a terrible loser, he has shown that throughout his career.
-
Yes because the shit newspaper told you so. Thanks for the laugh, imagining Lukaku in Pep team is too funny.
-
For a player like Lukaku that situation is not ideal, he pretty much best fits reactive side. There is a reason why reactive managers like Mourhino and Conte rate him, and sides that are assertive never considers him.
-
Was the same currency used in that math.
-
I am intrigued by Moriba, no way Barca can get 25m. Looks like an upgrade over Lewis Bate. People make the argument for Lukaku there are no other option beside Haaland and he is not available. Why not try for a 36 year old Ronaldo, he outperformed Lukaku who is In his prime.
-
Enough, this is not my first rodeo. I have never been a fan of Lukaku at any point.
-
Literally no logical person gives a shit about how good Lukaku was against grandpa league. When you have scrubs like Immobile, Muriel, and Birardi scoring for fun it is hard to take anything he did seriously at Inter. I watched him at the Euros he is literally the same player when he left United. Anyway we have signed a lot of bust strikers over the years, my body can take another one.
-
He won’t be playing regularly for long, I can’t imagine a manager like Tuchel keeps playing Lukaku if he struggles to score. Look how he excluded Tammy. He cares a lot about how a player’s general play. Lukaku is a terrible fit, i honestly don’t believe these reports. I guess I will be in denial even when the club announces him.
-
That is some serious revisionism shit. If he wasn’t linked to Chelsea you wouldn’t be saying this nonsense. He flopped, United were overjoyed they were able to recoup most of it. Just like we were when we sold Morata to Athletico Madrid.
-
you on the other hand, extremely overrating Lukaku. Like Tomo said Werner scored 28 league goals in Bundesliga, that is better than Lukaku record at Inter. What makes you think 15-20 goals is guaranteed? Also consider Ciro immobile who scored 36 league goals, could only score 3 goals at Dortmund.
-
Yes Haaland can flop, I am not completely convinced he is a safe bet. That is why you make the best decision at the time. Lukaku already flopped his big money move to United, the obstacles will be even greater in our team. Even if Haaland flops he will still have the resale value to be okay.
-
Honestly I don’t believe the Lukaku reports, from my understanding of this club behavior this is not consistent with past behaviors.
-
Signing Lukaku would literally be Torres 2.0. I remember desperately not wanting Chelsea to sign him, you knew it was train wreck from the beginning. This is what it feels like with Lukaku. He is simply not good enough for a possession heavy team and a top PL side, and most opposition will stack the box and give us little counter opportunities and the space for him to run into. The worst part of the Torres signing, was that we were also linked with Sergio Aguero at the time. Not only was our signing a bust, but the player that escaped us went on to become one of the best strikers in the PL. Hope history doesn’t repeat itself.

Jorginho has a 85% penalty success rate counting his record at club and country. Higher than Ronaldo, Messi, Suarez, Neymar, Muller, Salah, etc. Only notable guys higher Ibra and maybe Hazard. Not sure on Hazard but he had higher percentage going back a few years. Jorginho is statistically one of the best pen takers in the world.
-
So who is the most promising youth player at Chelsea now?
-
What happened with Bernardo Silva?
-
Hope Ziyech comes good this season, only player with creativity and Vision on this squad. Going to need him.
-
Wish we prioritized signing a creative player.

The Haaland situation is very straight forward, there is a clear value they have to sell Haaland next summer. So for them to sell this summer they have to have the financial incentive to sell. Without Haaland there is a possibility they lose CL football money and other revenues will be lost. They will sell if the money offered compensate them fairly.
