Now we are in the position of being from the outside looking in I guarantee Mourinho will start to grate even among his biggest admirers. Just wait till a decision goes against Man United or he's complaining about something trivial. The media love Man United and if they start badly he'll be under massive pressure which frankly I don't think he'll handle well. Just wait till a few ex United players start having a pop Crerand, Macari etc and from the modern era Cantona, Keane then Mourinho will start throwing his toys out of the pram. It's been interesting watching the Euro's Iceland beating England Iceland basically keeping it tight at the back and hitting teams on the break and good luck to them they did it brilliantly with average players. But that's exactly how Chelsea set up under Mourinho especially away from home yet this was a team full of world class players. If he sets up his United team like that he'll be crucified by the fans and media alike and so he should be it's nothing but The ends justify the means mentality and it's completely wrong to stifle players step forward Oscar who makes James Milner look like Zidane.

I was in a crowd of 6,000 against Orient in 1982. Your right about why people didn't come to the Bridge especially in the 80's where the ground was falling to pieces, there was a heavy NF presence and one thing that opposition fans forget we spent 6 years in division 2 and yet the Bridge was the most expensive in the country. Football changed in the 90's where people started taking an interest especially after Italia 90 and more so Euro 96 and people who had no interest in football started to watch and in my experience all started to support Arsenal (in London). If Roman hadn't bought the club we wouldn't be a club with world wide appeal and we have picked up support from people who wouldn't have heard of Chelsea before 2003 that's undeniable. It's happening to Man City as well they have a similar hardcore support to us but they will never have the appeal Man United have and I've heard stories of groups of foreigners who have gone to City games expecting to be at Old Trafford. As I said 14,000 the season before Roman arrived for a European game is a poor turn out regardless of the opposition. Chelsea's support has always suffered midweek historically because so much of our support comes from outside London places like Leatherhead, Epsom etc. So if you leave work at six you then have to get a train and then navigate the tube at rush hour a pain in the arse to say the least. When we beat Liverpool 2-0 in 1982 it was the highlight of my Chelsea watching career at that point 42,000 with 5,000 locked out. A couple of days later we played Cardiff in front of 9,000 it was weird being at both games from a noisy, intimidating place to an empty, crumbling bowl

If we have another season like the one just finished we will struggle to fill 60,000. Crucial times ahead for us in the next few seasons the thought of playing at Wembley and not filling out our allocation is a possibility. People take the piss out of Man City for not filling their ground there's no guarantee we would fill 60,000. Mourinho's last game in 2007 only 24,000 for a Champions League game I remember going to a UEFA cup game in 2002 and the crowd was 14,000. What I'm saying is Chelsea have a hardcore support of about 25-30,000 the rest are JLC'S and tourists who are just as likely to watch Arsenal if tickets are available.

This vote had nothing to do with democracy in the slightest. Cameron was under pressure because he thought he'd lose some of his MP'S to UKIP so to appease them he promised to have a referendum on our membership in the EU. You reap what you sow and now thanks to Cameron we are out of Europe and Scotland will probably get independence. What's really disheartening is some of the real fascist bastards in world politics Farage, Johnson, Putin, Trump, Le Pen. Farage being a racist there's no other word for the man and this makes extremely interesting reading. http://www.channel4.com/news/nigel-farage-ukip-letter-school-concerns-racism-fascism

Absolutely flabbergasted at this result people have been swayed by the hateful rhetoric of The Sun and the Daily Heil. Britian is a massively right wing country now and will be for years when they listen to the hateful bollocks of the likes of Farage a man who's man of the people shtick is just sickening he's an ex stockbroker for fucks sake. Murdoch was opposed to the E.U. because he said they don't listen to me in Europe but they do in Downing Street that man has such a hold over this country given to him on a plate by Thatcher. Corbyn has to be looking over his shoulder he comes across as ineffectual and weak nice bloke yes but and a good constituency MP but he's not a leader and he'll be gone in October when we have a General Election after the pig fucker has it on his trotters.

Don't think he was underrated when he was the number one keeper. He was replaced by a better keeper Cech who with Bonetti are our best ever keepers and for want of a better word legends.
-
Sorry mate someone who spent most of his career at Chelsea as a no 2 keeper can not be described as a legend.

Changing the title from Eden Hazard to Eddie Izzard is such a drag !

Well you don't appear to like this forum as you have commented on The Shed End how you think this forum is a pile of shit.
-
I just can't believe some of the comments I'm reading. The bare bones are a woman takes a man to court and she's called a cunt, a goal digger a bitch and ugly. It's like reading the musings of a group of spotty teenagers talking about their teacher. These sort of comments reflect badly on all Chelsea fans and make us look like misogynist halfwits.

Fair play to Kane for getting up straight away after nearly being decapitated and then you have that prick Pepe. I'm torn between which was worse Alves foul or Pepe's play acting.
-
There's a clip of him when he first signed playing in a pre season friendly against Antwerp or someone. At half time he starts having a go not maliciously but more out of frustration because he can't quite believe how shit Andy Myers is ha ha. The one fact about him I still find funny is that his favourite show is It A'int Half Hot Mum hence why he used to call the players his lovely boys.

Hats off to the tweeter who posted: "Millwall fans were in mourning after their loss. So they held a minute's violence.

Bloody hell I didn't know that would have saved me a trip to the boozer ha ha. Still think it should be shown on terrestrial tv though.
-
Back in the day you would only be able to watch a handful of live football games on the telly. These days you can see more live games in a weekend then you could in a whole season. I had to go to the pub tonight to watch the game not that I gave a toss who won but almost out of tradition I thought I should watch the game. It's an absolute scandal that the Champions League Final is not on terrestrial TV. UEFA are apparently concerned about viewing figures well don't sell your crown jewels to the highest bidder and think about the millions who don't have BT Sport you greedy bastards.

Lets hope he resigns Falcao !

I'm pretty sure that ITV did that documentary about him taking over from Moyes while his personal life was all over the media super injunctions etc. The B.B.C did that show I never watched it about him and Scholes etc taking over Salford City and of course the Class of 92 love in. The English media loves Man United they gave so little attention to us pre Moscow it was like Man United were playing a Turkish club and not another English club. I didn't buy a paper or go online to news sites for a week after Moscow. We are bound to get the obligatory documentary on the BBC when Mourinho joins Man United something like '' The special one comes to the theatre of dreams'' or some such bollocks.

More likely to be Ryan Giggs shagging Mourinho's wife !

The Special One promises to help Manchester United fans rediscover their arrogance

The Manchester United management team has denied handling the sacking badly, insisting that they’d given van Gaal almost 48 hours to have a cup of tea and look at the trophy he’d won for them before giving him his belongings in a bin bag and getting security to escort him from the premises.
