I know its the Star but but but ...........WHY?? Chelsea transfer news: Out-of-favour striker set to STAY despite interest from Sevilla CHELSEA are set to reject interest from Sevilla in Alvaro Morata even if they do succeed in buying another striker. https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/751340/Chelsea-news-Sevilla-Alvaro-Morata-Premier-League-La-Liga-transfer-news-rumours

I hear ya Mrs but we could pick holes about any player. Asensio has also only got 1 in the league - none in the CL. He has been regular over the seasons and I really think if he was the main starter for a team he would be great, He is probably our best hope of a realistic 'replacement' in a Eden deal. If not I'd still take hin as AM
-
Hes played the majority of this season on LW tho And going back to the 2012/13 season hes given 20 goals/assists combined every season bar 1 where it was 15. So I'd be more than happy with the old boy as Eden replacement or as AM
-
But hes also not their 1st choice is he. Hes got far less minutes than Asensio who you like (and me) and beats him on g's and a's
-
But I would want Isco in any deal for Eden which would cover that LW spot.
-
From all Ive read hes best as a playmaker but winger hybrid. Hes hust been so unlucky to be somewhere hes down the pecking order. Hes gone from 5 g;s 14 a's to 41 munutes! Both north London clubs are also after him I've read

Its past a joke now. Its like we have talked about on the forum its like a curse is on the number 9 shirt. We really need to go in rock hard after Icardi. An Eden/Isco - Icardi - Pulisic top 3 would be a great way to begin the team rebuild. Would just need to get a goal scoring CAM and upgrade Alonso and another RB. But these things need doing.
-
Thats what I dont get. He will know we have just paid large for Pulisic who plays in the same position so will not be wanting to be anyones backup. And the board wouldn't be paying £40mill for depth.
-
Well it does beat fingers on a keyboard! I know hes not a mad poster but he always looks in on match days. Hope hes OK thats all that matters.
-
Aye. But I would prefer to take Isco in the deal as he would be a great part of a front 3.
-
From all Ive seen I too like him It s just strange us still looking at another RW. IF Eden does go to RM I would make Isco a part of it no matter what Sell a few of the woodwork and with what we have left over from Edens sale we could get Icardi. I would go mental fo a Isco Icardi pairing Add Pulisic to them and we have a great front 3 Chuck in Fekir and bring on the world!
-
Hes a striker mate not LW so hows he replacement? A Eden Icardi Pulisic is a great start or Isco Icardi Pulisic would also be the bollox.. But we also need a TOP ACM too.
-
Problem is tho its not only Barkley I understand why all the sideways, backward passing goes on even if I dont like it but even when they do develop the space between the channels they dont seem to be able to take it to the next level, They have an amazing 2nd half v Shitty )IMO anyway) but then they suffer complete total fuckin mind block and forget how they did it! That goes for Eden too. They just cant keep their form. Apart from Luiz and it seems he is the one who is getting better!

Chelsea are ready to make a huge transfer splash for one of the world’s most highly-rated strikers, while Napoli are ready to move for a Manchester United target, according to Thursday’s European papers. CHELSEA TABLE MASSIVE ICARDI BID https://www.teamtalk.com/news/euro-paper-talk-chelsea-to-follow-up-pulisic-move-with-stunning-e110m-striker-swoop-man-utd-alerted-as-napoli-move-for-attacker

I see we are still being linked with him. From all that Ive read about him even tho he plays FWL and AML/AMR he is by far the strongest and plays more as a FWR. SSurely this makes no sense with us spunking out for one yesterday for that position!! He has played 1 game this season as a center forward so we cant be thinking of him there. And for the £40mill he will supposedly fetch it will mean him being on the bench as a sub for both wings.
-
YEP!! The club needs a overhaul from top to bottom. I love what Roman has done for us. You could always see he was a genuine supporter like the rest of us. And I will always appreciate it But just MAYBE selling us to someone used to working with large sports clubs would be what we need.
-
haha Might have a bottle to celebrate when he leaves!
-
Past the loan stage mate. You dont loan out a £70mill player in the hopes of him getting his shit together, You pat him on the back and cut your losses and hopefully learn from the experience.
-
You would expect that a club would be run like any company/office. You have regular meetings where you all sit down and give each other your needs. What the team needs in what positions. What they dont need etc. You would expect the heads of departments to all be there. Scouts etc and all go thru what they need to put across. Then they go away to think about it and then the main peeps get together to say what they have decided. But as we dont have that central DOF who hopefully has good football knowledge and been in the job at a high level so has important contacts at various clubs, then it causes us a fuck off big problem to begin with. I dont doubt that Granny is a good number cruncher with balls bigger than many men but she knows less about football than me.
-
100% agree. Specially with him saying he didn't lnow anything about us buying Pulisic.. That is scary. I thought one of the reasons we took Magic Box on was for him to be that buffer between Sarri and the board. I know we all keep harping on about it but it just helps prove how much we need a DOF.!
-
Its the Roman way lol
-
I was on my travels when we bought him so I missed all the hype etc. But if you want a laugh spend some time going thru this thread at the start and see the difference in the comments. I particularly like the ones about the curse! Lets bloody hope not.

Hope you're wrong bud/
