  1. Well its not just other parts of the globe. Its here. And away tickets are hard to come by. If Chelsea play away at 3, less chance of watching the game at all. I mean we can all stream a foreign broadcast, but we can't go down the pub and watch it. Whereas a home game at 3, I'm much more likely to be able to attend.
  2. I saw something today that rings pretty true. Don't friendzone guys. Fun zone them instead. Put them in the kiddy park so they can cry with all the other babies when they don't get what they want.
  3. Is it not anything to do with the fact they don't broadcast 3pm games?
  4. Fancied something a bit retro
  5. Best of luck to him. Looking forward to seeing Cuadrado in action though.
  6. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpX_FyUdVo0 Every timeeee
  7. I'm just worried about Aguero sneaking up with a bunch of penalties...
  8. I hope it doesn't affect his chances of winning the golden boot...
  9. We survived without him last season. It's not the end of the world. Rather he had time to recover fully, than risk further injury anyway. I'm more bothered about Costa, but I want to see Remy in the central role over Drogba.
  10. I just feel like its a tactically bad decision to play with no holding midfielder, while you're still in the lead. I'd have put Ake on over Cesc when Mikel had to come off. And saying there was no difference to the way we have played all season isn't necessarily a good thing. Same tactics doesn't mean same result. All teams are different. You have to approach the game differently sometimes. And maybe playing the same tactics all the time is what makes us easy to read. It seems that teams are becoming well aware of our weaknesses.
  11. It might be pipe dreams, but - He has a great relationship with Mourinho. He will want to build up his partnership with Zouma, with an eye on the Euros... One can hope...
  12. Oh yeah, and I was really hoping Ake would feature. If you're gunna rotate [and lets be honest we had to!], I'd comfortably put my trust in him.
  13. Ah, yeah, I get what you're saying. I guess I just include selection and tactics together. In that its a stupid tactic to play an injured striker in the central role, if at all. Its a stupid tactic to play inexperienced defenders with Cahill leading the line. And maybe I'm wrong, but I'm a fan of the bus when it does the job. I'd have been ecstatic if we'd held the lead, and won on a day where so many other top teams went out. Beautiful football is nice (I mean look at the Swansea game ), but 'negative' football is sometimes necessary.
  14. I was there. I don't think you can look at the goals and describe the rest of the game. I've already posted, but personally I think Drogba should have never been on the field. He was limping from the first whistle. Visibly in pain for a lot of the first half (seemed alright in the second). Every touch he had was awful. Attempting on goal at 40 yds out, without any power. Soft passes. Passes to nobody. And he was on for the full 90! Madness. Remy should have been in the centre. I liked a lot of his work on the ball, but out on the left wing it was wasted, there was never any real threat in the box. Cahills goal was lovely, but his game was not. I've had enough of him backing off of players. We were passing around the ball too much (and badly at that), when we should have been dribbling around them. Easier said than done, they're not all Hazards, but we should be bossing one-on-ones. We should have utilised the bus at 2-0 up, even if its not pretty. Anyway, thats my two pence. Peace and love.
  15. I dunno, I think some of this is on Mourinho. Fielded the wrong team. Didn't ask them to sit behind the ball at 2-0 up. Defensive shocker, yes, individual awful performances, yes, but Mourinho is no innocent.
  16. Depends how often you plan to go. Of course we'd all love to go to every game. I don't see it as a huge expense if I can see three/four games a year. If it was cheaper the struggle to get tickets would just be insane. We need a bigger stadium for cheaper tickets. And for me its only £20 return on the coach.
  17. Aha! I never even noticed. Rather be stood somewhere decent.
  18. Depends on the opposition, where you sit and if you're a member. £50-80. What I'll never understand is why West Upper is the most expensive. Sat there once. Never again. No atmosphere. Far away enough you might as well be watching it on TV, and the overhang of the stand blocked the view of the screens.
  19. We had a couple of Bradford fans on our row in West Lower. One geezer hurdled over me to smack him when their third goal went in and he got up and cheered. Most satisfying moment of the night (and to be honest there weren't many) to see the Bradford fans escorted out by the stewards. At the end of the day though, I'm not complaining about a £30 ticket. Premier league games are more expensive, but the atmosphere is still better.
  20. There's not that many votes. Some of us were there. ZOUUUUUMMMMAAAAAAAA
  21. Drogba was absolutely awful, and he was limping from the first whistle. Should have never been on the pitch. Completely believe it might have been a different game with Remy as central striker. Salah was beyond useless. And the addition of Fabregas, Hazard and Willian wasn't even close to enough. All round embarassing display, topped off by a lack of atmosphere in the Chelsea stands. The Bradford fans were so loud, and I could barely hear a noise from our side til we were at 2-2. After not understanding anything the Bradford fans were singing for most of the game in their Yorkshire accents, (to our response of 'speak f***ing english'), it felt horrible once I realised what they were chanting. 'Mourinho's right, your fans are shite.' Gutted. I feel like Jose's brought it on himself. His attitude the past few weeks has been shit. Que sera sera.
  22. Surely we'd buy having a view of them playing together eventually. They'd want to work on their partnership for the future of the French national team. Win/win. If we can wait til summer it'd be better though. No sense in sending out Zouma on loan if Varane is going to be unavailable for Champions League.
