I get laugh attack every time when I see "Hazard should play Hamsik role". First of all, there is no such thing, and second of all, Hazard can't be dynamic midfielder all of a sudden. That would be 4-2-3-1 than, not 4-3-3 anymore.

This guy is nothing like Hamsik. "Hamsik role", right, there IS NO "Hamsik role", there is "the most advanced midfielder in 4-3-3". And like any other midfielder in 4-3-3, he must be mobile and very dynamic. Not like Fekir, that guy is nothing like that. Not durable, not fast. He could be great in "Willian role" tho.

Calm down, there are a lot of changes allowed, if everyone plays for one half-time we should be fine.

I admitted a long time ago to myself that I was wrong about Emenalo. I mean, he wasn't the greatest asset to have, but he was not our real problem.

"Ditching" Čech was right call, risk worth taking. Courtois is a lot better GK than Petr now. Čech is old and in massive decline. But this fuck Courtois should have appreciated that more. But you gotta take into account some other things: - having CHO - having (a lot more) fit Barkley who now actually has great system and playing position to excel in - probably having RLC too, if we don't bring anyone - having fit Emerson - having Luiz back, healthy and motivated (by new system and Conte leaving I guess) Those are little things, but I think they mean a lot. EDIT: This could be whole other team than last year. Let's say, first XI: Courtois; Emerson - Luiz - Christy - Azpi; Jorginho - Kante - Barkley; CHO - Giroud - Hazard

We don't need to win anything. Heck, it's better for a club not to win EPL, if we look long termly. Because we will go in the same circle again - board and players thinking we are a lot better than we are. Same as after 2017 Premier League. For once, I would like to win major trophy BECAUSE of our quality, not DESPITE of our (lack of) quality. ... but some small consolation cup won't be bad.

Willian has averaged 8 goals per season (in ALL competitions) through this 4 years he was with us. Even less assists. And he is not even doing much else useful other than good dribbling here and there. He is easily replaceable, if you have anything in your head (not sure our board has) and if you start with finding replacement NOW. But, Barca went for better player and it's done now, Willy is staying. Opportunities like this are there for a grab. Not spending 200 millions on a players every year - THIS is what makes club big. Grabbing an opportunity, cause guess what - they will always come. And acting fast after that. Hell we could've easily said to Barca - "ok, he is yours, but just wait for us to find replacement". A lot of clubs do that.

What are our options if we really sell Willian for right wing? I came across the info that Pool gave up on Fekir because it was obvious he couldn't pass the medical (from really unreliable source). Could that be true? But, other options? Suso from Milan? Who else? Bailey plays on the left as far as I know...

When I think about it more thoroughly, I think our squad as it is is not bad and surely capable of top4 even if we don't bring anyone. Jorginho, CHO, RLC and change in playing style would do us great things. But it all counts only if we don't offload anyone. Only thing I would be concerned about then is possible lack of goals (Willian, Morata, Giroud...), but we could improve that too with more offensive approach.

I would suggest posting about that in "politics" thread, others might find this interesting.

Could you elaborate, or post a link that does? We others want to know why, too.

Could someone please post the dates when players are back from holidays?
