Terry have just retired and a lot of media writers have done this. I think they are ruining Terrys' legacy and would like to do what I can to prevent it, at least in my region.

I would really like to read your opinion on one topic - its important because some of the media (in my country) are spreading this whole "Terry was great captain but piece of shit as a person" narrative, like he is the worst footballing person there is. Their biggest arguments are that racist incident with A Ferdinand and Terry sleeping with Bridges gf. As far as I know, court dismissed racist claims, and as biased as I am, I am totally convinced that John did not racially abused Ferdinand. If City wins EPL they are leveled with us in number of leagues through history. And they are very often UCL contenders. How could one want them to win the league? Having Pedro and Willian as a backup is not much different than having Pedro and Moses/CHO as a backup. All things considered draw is a fair result. Glad that Kovačić was best player on the pitch, and that Salah was awful. Great save by Kepa too, to gain some confidence. We should sell Bats and loan/sell Morata next summer. Keep Giroud as a backup, use money of those two, add some more and bring quality striker. Even someone like Lacazette would be huge upgrade on what we have. Just save what you can save from this situation. I would be content if we somehow get 40 millions for him.

I think Cahill looked a lot better than Andreas. I think, only by looking at him, that Andreas lacks body control and that's when his mistakes happen. When you see Cahill or Luiz, you know they will brain-fart... but at least they have imposing postures. Also, don't know what to make of Kovačić. That really bothers me, I hope to god that he kicks on, because Barkley actually looks better sometimes.

Ok, he is average plus a goal here and there. So he is slightly above average... SCORE mate, I am defeated! Problem in system is Azpi too. Azpi is not good at creating width, is not fast too, he cannot beat his man. We cannot have two fullbacks like that, one must be good at that.

His cross isn't bad, but he isn't getting in crossing position because he can't beat his man or run fast to save his life. He is always marked.

Argument that he is linked with RM means nothing. It's not like he will replace Marcelo any time soon, they may have only wanted him as a backup. I repeat, without goals he is average, and he will not keep scoring like in first 4 games. He have scored 6-7 goals per season for us, that's a goal every 4 games. I don't know if I would like him to keep scoring, because that way we will never get rid of him. This way at least we can all see that he is average, including manager and board. On the other hand I would REALLY like him to keep scoring, because this team lacks goals badly. Tough choice.

And I will write something that applies more generally: He lacks better positional and tactical intelligence (like Makelele), or strength-height to be considered an elite out-and-out defensive midfielder. If he had one of those I would consider him elite and it would be worth playing him as a DMF. Ranieri and Conte knew that too. They would have put him in Makelele role if that was the case, and the whole world would know that he is that. But he isn't, and Sarri knew that, hence why he never had any problem bringing Jorginho in. For B2B position he lacks better passing (he is playing rather simple passes), or even shooting. His dribbling is ok-ish I guess, but his ball control can be shaky sometimes, also because he could be easily shaken off the ball. And why I think people are expecting too much from him? Because I knew all along what his limits are, and that he has really few qualities to offer, attacking wise. Ok, maybe he can do more than what he did today, but not much more. When you call someone elite player, you need to consider what would he look like in some other systems too. You can't be elite player if you are great only in one system (defensive one with midfield-2, in this example)
