I don't believe he had any part in this movement to force José out. He been trying, and today he did again. He just continues to be completely out of form. One of the few players that showed today what he's been showing for months...

Now I understand. Chelsea hired and sacked all those managers so JT could learn from each and every one of them, pick and mold the best methods and combine them with his own alpha male personality and leadership abilities to eventually transform into the ultimate manager for Chelsea after he retires. Genius.

I think the biggest risk when tired is injury.
Therefore it makes sense to build players up slowly. The worst thing for him now would be to pick up an Injury - he's tired makes a lunging tackle - over extends his groin or some other muscle and boom - consigned to the sidelines.
    I'm cool with this progress - I screamed for it - it's happening - I'm good

Not going to bother about being politically correct. Love that aggression, there are indeed too many nice guys and people too concerned about being friends on the pitch. Fuck that.
He did not score but totally got into those Arsenal players heads. Good enough for me.
    Long live Costa

Cech was always better than Iker. Cech may be the most under rated keeper of all time, no respect for the man. At the same time Iker was in his prime I would have taken Cech every day of the week.

Very true. I have noticed that about a lot of people on here, when a player is in form they think he is amazing, as soon as he is in bad form they think he is awful. Very fickle.

If Juan goes, still want him to stay. Cannot under-value his potential to hurt teams with tired legs or direct play. Even if a season as a squad player to be sold next season, could get us some vital points IF used correctly.

Fuck me after however many years of guys like a past it Lampard, physically struggling Essien, Ramires with his 'shite technique', naive and clueless David Luiz and average Meireles you'd think we'd be fucking glad to sign a boy of this calibre for central midfield.... a season later and we need to drop him for big games/sign another midfielder to replace him in those games.
We should probably play a 433 and yes we should of perhaps signed another central midfielder but to play in tandem with Matic and Fabregas, not replace either of them but we haven't and that is not his fault.
Sometimes when I read this thread and also Costa's and see all the shite about needing to replace them in big games/sign somebody better it makes me wonder what the fuck you guys have been smoking because those two along with Eden were absolutely vital to us winning the league. Without Costa or Fabregas we wouldn't have won the league, Hazard was very good but there were times Cesc and Costa were the difference. Hazard didn't carry us by himself, despite what you'd think reading some stuff on here, Cesc was just as vital in periods of the season and so was Costa.

Theoreticaly Pedro is still harder worker than Hazard so its Hazard who need more protection from behind.
But I hope Mou finaly goes with normal football style. Play Azpi on right because he is fucking right back. He will get well with Pedro as well. After spending 20m on fullback Baba, play him for god sake. Baba and Hazard will work well eventualy. Sure in begining we might have some problems with defending on that side, but longterm, the two fit eachother great. Baba can go forward, and actualy contribute to attack and at same time elevate Hazard play to next level.
The only thing, is Mou brave enough to give Baba and Hazard a real chance or will he stick to his old football with no imagination?
I absolutely hate that our fullbacks are so poor in general play. Take a look at Alaba and Lahm, Marcelo and Carvajal, Alba and Alves etc. Some of those can match and even surpass our midfielders and attackers in terms of creativity, ball control and passing. And we are stuck with Iva and Azpi(on wrong side) who dont contribute to our general play at all. Iva scores some key goals indeed, but his play is still poor.
Long gone are the days of Ashley terrorizing the flanks of left side but at same time not allowing anyone get past him.

Still think this is the perfect loan though... If it works we look like geniuses if it doesn't... Oh well Bamford comes home fresh from his stint at Palace.

Loyalty is and always will be a two way street. Stick a guy still in his prime on the bench for a year, he more than puts up with it, hell he embraces it for the collective good, and then finally wants to move on once the writing is on the wall, and some juveniles call him names. "Arsenal isn't the only London team/ West Ham and Spurs are also in London" --> yeah right, take a step back and give your head a wobble.

Yeah, you're right and maybe I wasn't clear in what I really feel.
I think they aren't anywhere close to challenging the league - I should have worded it better. Of course winning 2 straight FA Cups is better than no title in 9 years, but I don't see the necessary improvement to even challenge, let alone winning EPL title - Cech or not Cech. So I think they just have a domestic cup under their belt, but as a team, they're far from being a top team fighting for EPL (never alone UCL). The cups are nice to win and I like FA (not much League Cup), but they also give you the misleading idea you may be doing well as you're winning titles, when they aren't really a thermometer to the bigger competitions. That's how I felt. I feel like they're as stagnant about winning the league as they were a few years ago. Even in the season everyone thought at some point they'd end up as the runner ups given their streak of wins and manageable fixture list, and even that they weren't capable of doing.
I hate Cech is going there, but he wants to go there, so there's nothing to do. I'd be a complete lack of class and disrespect towards the guy who has always been a great player for us in every possible way to block him from moving where he wants to go.
Cech definitely improves them, but it doesn't improve them enough to become title contenders imo. We include Arsenal as contenders because they're one of the big teams in the country, but they aren't realistically speaking.
But you did have a point, one I overlooked because it's so easy to just dismiss Arsenal.

Look at it like this. If Cech wants to stay in London and Arsenal were the only club interested, why would Chelsea block the move? It shows that the club cares about the players at least on some sort of level. Imagine the negative implication if the club said flatly, "No, you can't move to another London club: move yourself and your family to another city or another country".
    Footballers are people too.

I liked your post because of this statement. It's so annoying seeing a lot of footballers strolling around when their teammates have the ball instead of making runs to create space for creating chances.

I think the difference was that Shurrle wanted to leave for more playing time. Really understandable since he is still young and should be getting more games to develop. The offer was great and since the player wanted to leave, we brought in a replacement.
Remy probably won't develop much more and I think he doesn't mind being behind in the pecking order in order to be a part of a team challenging for multiple trophies. The offer would have to be really huge and he must want to leave for us to sell him. No point selling him for marginally more since a backup of his quality is hard to find. Scored some really crucial winners for us when we needed it too.
