Mourinho said: "Look, because Baba Rahman arrived in the last day, because he doesnt know what it is to play in this kind of championship. "He had no pre-season with us. He needs time to learn, he needs time to adapt. "At the same time, every team, except Maccabi Tel Aviv, is a team of giants. And if you dont have a minimum of five tall players good in the air, you are dead in set-pieces. "When I play Azpilicueta on the right and Baba Rahman on the left and I dont play Ivanovic, I have only three, not even four. So we have to think about all the details. And I think about all the details." http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/468540/Jose-Mourinho-not-picking-Chelsea-major-summer-signings

Jose Mourinho says his team are in safe hands as they prepare to take on Stoke City with their manager absent. The Portuguese will not be at the Britannia for the evening kick-off due to the one-match stadium ban he received recently. However, the close working relationship he enjoys with his backroom staff means the players will go into the game fully prepared for all eventualities. ‘Only after Dynamo did I start organising the information for them, and then a few hours with them going through every point, leaving them all the notes and indications,’ explained the Blues boss. ‘We have worked together for a long time, with Rui Faria 15 years, with Steve Holland three years, so they understand me and they know how I think. ‘Even on the bench I normally sit between both, so I speak with both, they understand what I’m thinking, they understand my vision, they understand my decisions, so they are fine.’ With Mourinho not in attendance, he will be reliant on his players and assistants to react in a positive way to specific moments which occur during the game. ‘Normally we know the kind of approach we give to the game,’ he said. ‘We know normally when we are losing where we are trying to improve, and when we are winning if we can close some fragility we can have. ‘Basically, it’s an accumulation of experiences we are having together, and with these players we are living together for two or three years. Even the players on the pitch know more or less when things are going in a certain direction, what is going to happen next. ‘Many times before the substitutes’ board goes up they know already basically what you are going to do. It is very rare to go completely out of context.’ The Blues head into today’s game buoyed by an important Champions League win over Dynamo Kiev in midweek. Reflecting on Wednesday’s victory, Mourinho once again praised his side for the way in which they reacted to Kiev’s equaliser, as well as thanking the supporters for their backing. ‘A difficult episode for the team happened and the team reacted,’ he recalled. ‘If Willian didn’t score, and the ball hits the post and goes out and we don’t win, I could still see the reaction. We tried, we won a free-kick, a corner, we had another chance. People immediately reacted and that is good. ‘It’s amazing, really, because it comes in a moment where it’s easy to be against the team, against the players, and especially to be against the manager. ‘To follow the river against him would be the easiest thing but the fans were exactly the opposite. It was not in the last minute because we won the match, it was in the first minute when maybe we would lose the match. It was amazing. ‘I felt that at Stoke with the away fans behind the goal (in the Capital One Cup game), but to feel it at home, your stadium, your fans, was fantastic.’ Mourinho also explained how the stadium ban will affect him both on and off the pitch in the long term. ‘My punishment has changed everything,’ he said. ‘The dimension of my punishment, the stadium ban that stays suspended, affects everything. ‘My answers are going to be different. The way I participate in the game is going to be different. I had a game a few days ago where I stood for 90 minutes on my side, and the other manager was jumping like Michael Jordan and nothing happened. I know everything for me is different; it’s changed a lot. ‘The message is clear for me. The message the power wants to give to me is more than clear.’ http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2015/11/mourinho--in-tune.html

There have only been 4 direct free-kick goals scored in Champions League this season. Willian has scored 3 of them.

Jose Mourinho will solve Chelsea problems - Jorge Mendes edit: If you watch the video you will see Jorge Mendes was very comfortable and confident when answering the first open question from the interviewer. But then the second question from the interviewer: ''do you think he (Jose) will stay there? Will he be given the chance to..(solve the problems)'' Jorge Mendes started to stutter a little bit, didn't directly answer the question, and even looked a little bit panicky. This tells a lot, I think the board is/was seriously considering sacking Jose, if he isn't already sacked yet. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/34730587

Have Chelsea fans saved Mourinho from the sack? by Dan Levene After receiving a strong indication Mourinho's tenure was over after the 1-3 home defeat to Liverpool, with a stay of execution only there pending the breathing space of the international break, Wednesday night's show of support by fans is understood to have made a major impression on those who run the club. http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/chelsea-fans-saved-mourinho-sack-10390128 Let's hope this is true!

Gave 100%. Not super talented but good enough to be a squad player, as long he gives his all on the pitch I will support him.

His set pieces were always decent. He delivered the winning set piece to Ivanovic to score the winning goal for us vs Liverpool in the COC semi final for example. But this season his set pieces are truly a weapon, every time he takes one I have an excitement in me that it could be/create a goal. If you're playing well and being decisive it improves your confidence and it has a positive influence on your whole game, his whole game reached another level. He's full of confidence and is on fire, he's no longer afraid to lose the ball, he's now taking 2-3 man on and is always looking for the final ball instead of a safe back pass. I hope he keeps this up and keeps working hard for the team.

I have the same feeling here, Lou Sticca was at the Liverpool game and said Jose is already sacked. Plus the report of Dan Levene (Eurosport) said he will be gone after the Stoke game. The ''years'' could be a cover for ''days'', so maybe he'll be gone within days. I hope Roman changes his mind and sticks with him, but no matter what happens, I will support Jose till the end like all the supporters in the stadium today.

Not only him, there are more of them. They all called me a clown when I praised Willian last season.

I'd share them with you, if possible.

Thanks again [emoji12] but could you please change your fav player to Blackman? We need goals from Diego too!

What net spend means? That means he MUST sell before he can buy, due to our club's ''1 in 1 out'' policy. Nobody on here can convince me that Mourinho would rather keep Mikel as DM instead of David Luiz. proof: He played Luiz as the DM in the Champions league and benched Mikel Why did he sell? Because we need to balance the books, simple. Same goes for Mata, a player that got more minutes than Schurrle before he left. Would Jose rather have Traore/Salah or Mata in the squad? This summer is the first window where we did not sell a player for a big sum, result?

last match it was Azpi vs Yarmolenko, today Baba vs Yarmolenko. Big big night for Baba.
