  1. 31 OCT Chelsea vs Liverpool (Mou vs Klopp) Big fan of Klopp, he is going to raise the level of the EPL like Jose did 11 years ago. I even think he can make them champions in 3 years time. Battle for top 4 will be tougher than ever.
  2. Chelsea's Ramires says Jose Mourinho has NOT lost the dressing room and is still trusted by his players http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/chelseas-ramires-says-jose-mourinho-6598755
  3. Diego Costa admits he returned to Chelsea overweight this summer “I’m going to be very honest. Maybe a few weeks ago, five of six weeks ago, I was not on top of my game. At least physically. “We talk within the players and we know that maybe at the beginning we were not 100 per cent as we were supposed to be when we got here. I got injured at the end of the season and then I went on holiday. Maybe I got out of my diet and when I came back I was not the way I was supposed to be. I was a little bit overweight. That affected my game. “You can be selfish and blame it on the manager, but I’m not going to do that. I’m responsible 100 per cent and so are the other guys. We know we’re not in the best form we were supposed to be at the beginning of the season. “We need to blame the players because we came back from holiday very confident, and we thought we could go back into how it was last season, and then when we actually realised in the situation where we were, the team was already in a bad situation. So all we can do now is train very hard and work very hard, and try to get back to that level where we were the season before.” “I’m here because I’m happy with the manager, I’m here because my team-mates have gone away to the international break, I don’t like giving interviews, but I’m speaking for the group,” said Costa. “We all feel the same way about Jose, for example when I played in Madrid, people respected me much more, the supporters and the crowd.” “He’s very direct, straightforward, he always speaks what he thinks and what he believes to be the truth,” said Costa. “Sometimes it’s not what people want to hear. It’s the way he is and it’s why sometimes they criticise him. “There are managers who always say what people want to hear. I think that’s not good. I’d rather have someone who tells me straight up what happens rather than sweet things that I want to hear. “I have been here for more than a season, I have seen sides that have lost much more games than Chelsea, and no one criticises their managers. They can say whatever they want about Mourinho, but inside the dressing room, he is completely different from the idea people have of him. “If you ask a million players who they want as their manager, they will all come back with a top three list of Mourinho, Guardiola and Simeone. It was one of the reasons I joined Chelsea .” http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/11920114/.html "The players are to blame," said striker Diego Costa, who happens to share the same agent as his manager in Jorge Mendes. "Mourinho is giving us all the support we need. The players say he is the best manager we can have. Maybe he gets criticised because he is very good. Maybe he gets criticised because he is Mourinho." "Yes, Mourinho has supported me, but he has supported all the players. It's not that. I'm happy with the manager. We all feel the same way about Jose. http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/610839/Diego-Costa-Chelsea-Premier-League-Jose-Mourinho-Chelsea-news
  4. Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho 'doesn't even need backing' but we are all behind him, says Gary Cahill http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/chelsea-boss-jose-mourinho-doesnt-even-need-backing-but-we-are-all-behind-him-says-gary-cahill-a3086141.html
  5. Same here. Pep as Chelsea manager is the biggest nightmare for me.
  6. Jose Mourinho 'knows everything' - Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma http://www.espnfc.co.uk/chelsea/story/2652039/jose-mourinho-knows-everything-chelsea-defender-kurt-zouma
  7. Ultimate squad player, this season our Ramires is really back. also voted for his goal in the goal of the month: (because it's the only goal that gave us a point, except for Walsall) https://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2015/10/four-crackers-up-for-goal-of-the-month.html
  8. BREAKING: Jurgen Klopp has told Liverpool that he wants to become the new manager. [bBC Sport] Hmmm Klopp would be nice for the EPL, not good for us this season. I will be a tough battle with Spurs and Liverpool for the 4th spot.
  9. thanks Curly, I also found the interview with JT: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x38jd74_reactoin-john-terry-on-southampton-match_sport On Matic: he is struggling yes and Jose hinted that RLC will replace him in the coming matches, too bad, actually RLC/Ramires should partner him instead of replacing him.
  10. No he shouldn't be sacked, he is partly to blame for our current form. But please don't forget that the board absolutely messed up this summer with the transfers and the post season tour, in combination with the EPL starting a week earlier and us getting back to preseason 1 week later than normal. 1 week later to preseason and with the league starting 1 week earlier is missing 2 weeks of preparation. This was a big fail. These players are all millionaires, how can they suddenly be so bad? Don't tell me that's because Jose lost the dressing room, because these players have been bad since preseason and community shield. We lost Drogba - a big motivator in the dressing room, you should replace this with quality players. Who to blame for our current form: Board: 40% (transfers, stupid post season tour) Jose: 30% (stubborn team selections, not changing tactics, scapegoating squad players) Players: 20% (lack of motivation, lack of balls to fight for the club and supporters) Luck: 10% (injuries, DD's decision to leave) During the summer break, some members on here and I have constantly posted in the ''Summer Transfer Window - Likely Ins and Outs'' thread. We said the lack of activity was really worrying in the summer, cause we saw the weaknesses in our squad and Mourinho also saw this. We needed a CM and a defender, here is what Jose said in May/June: http://www.thehardtackle.com/2015/jose-mourinho-confirms-chelsea-fc-to-sign-three-new-players/ http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11668/9863904/jose-mourinho-eyes-premier-league-title-defence-with-new-additions It's really a shame, that the board didn't back him with chasing his targets. We only got Falcao, but our 2 main weaknesses remained unsolved: defense and midfield. They only started to believe strengthening was needed after the Arsenal and City thrashings, but it was already too late. Pedro was just a lucky catch but not a priority. Djilobodji come on..he was rejected by the likes of Sunderland. I'd say the board has truly no ambitions, we were decent in the EPL, but if you want to chase the Champions league it was clear that we lacked quality in the games vs Atletico Madrid and PSG. You know what type of manager you're hiring, Jose won't suddenly use a lot of youngsters, you need to give him his transfers to get the best out of him. 5 full seasons under Jose, 3 league titles. He hasn't lost it as he won the double last year, you got to back him with transfers if you want to keep on winning. ''some people in the club should resume their responsibilities'' - this was directed at those who are doing the transfers, cause they failed massively. I honestly expect a sack during or at the end of the season as he finally has hit criticized the board, but I won't solely blame him for this season's failure.
  11. John Terry wants Jose Mourinho to remain as Chelsea boss He said: “We have a big group of players and we have the best manager who we remain behind and we remain together. “That is what you do in tough circumstances. I have been here a long time and I have seen managers come and go and if anyone is going to get us out of this hole it is going to be Jose Mourinho. “The players will remain together and fight, and keep fighting for the supporters because they were excellent on Saturday. http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/john-terry-wants-jose-mourinho-10190434 http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2015/10/terry--time-to-stand-up-.html
  12. Final whistle verdict: Let's stick together NEWS 1 HOUR Jose Mourinho says now is the time for everyone to remain united as we try to come through this difficult period. After today’s defeat to Southampton Mourinho stressed there was absolutely no chance he would walk away from his position. He added stability at the club he loves was the key to turning things around. He also explained why Willian and Nemanja Matic were withdrawn in the second half today, before naming one youngster he expects to be given a chance in our next match after the forthcoming international break. First though he clarified his own position… ‘No way I resign,’ Mourinho said. ‘No way. ‘Why? Because Chelsea cannot have a better manager than me. There are many managers in the world that belong to my level, but no better. So no chance I run away. ‘Why? For two reasons. One: because I have my professional pride and I know I’m very good at my job. Secondly because I like this club very much. If that’s not the case it could be different, but in the accumulation of both situations I want the best for my club and the best for my club is for me to stay, so I stay. ‘When we were champions last season I said I was going to stay until the owner and the board wanted me to leave. No club can persuade me to leave; no financial offer can persuade me to leave. I’m going to stay until the day the owner and or the board say: "Jose, it’s enough". ‘I said that when I was a champion and I say that now when I am 16th in the table. No chance I resign. That is completely clear.’ Mourinho expects to guide his team to a top-four finish this season ‘I know that you know the history of this club, and you know every time the results were not good there was a change of manager, but when I was contacted to come back, I was told “we have had so many managers and we know you are the best”. ‘I think it’s time for the club to act in a different way, to mark a position: a position of stability, a position of trust. Three months ago we were all together on the bus with the cups. It’s time for us all to be together now at the bottom of the league. ‘I think in December, January, February, we are top four. To be champion will be very difficult, but top four is completely doable. When you are in such a bad season with such a bad start, if at the end of the season you finish in the top four it’s because you kept the balance in a difficult season. ‘For me everything is clear. I have been in football for a long time and the power is always with the owners and the boards in the end. I was taught that from day one in my life, I was coached to understand and respect that all the time. ‘Do the players trust me and feel I am the man for the job? This week we spoke about it and the answer was undoubtful. ‘When the supporters booed the Willian decision, I would so the same as them if I didn’t know Willian was ill and vomiting at half-time and the doctor said it would be difficult for him to continue. If they have a negative reaction I would do the same because the results are not the results we want.’ Nemanja Matic was taken off having been introduced at half-time ‘It was not humiliating [for him]. I don’t do that to anyone in football or in life. It’s something if I do, I do without any intention. I like the players, I trust them and I know they are good players but some of them are in a difficult moment, and Matic is one of them. He is not playing well, he is not sharp, defensively he is making mistakes. ‘I played him because Ramires was doing a great job on Mane, but with a yellow card and an inexperienced referee I was afraid of a second yellow card, so I changed him for Matic. With the second goal I needed to make a change, play another striker for a player from midfield. ‘I kept Oscar because he creates more, I kept Fabregas because, maybe because of his formation at Barcelona, he copes better with the pressure. Even not playing well his emotional stability is high. I decided to take Matic off, but I like the player very much. I have a fantastic relationship with the boy.’ We were denied a penalty when Falcao was brought down inside the box minutes before Southampton’s second ‘The referees are afraid to give decisions for Chelsea. At 1-1, it is a huge penalty and once again we don't get it. The penalty was a giant penalty and after that the team lost even more confidence.’ Mourinho was asked if he would bring young players into the team when we return to action in a fortnight… 'Yes. My job is not so simple because I have to measure the situation and ask myself in difficult moments if the best thing is to keep more experienced players. Can they cope better with the pressure of the moment? ‘You do the same. When I don’t play Terry to play Zouma you are the first ones to say immediately: “why aren’t you playing the captain?” ‘With Ruben, it’s exactly the same thing. Ruben, Matic, Ramires, Fabregas - who can cope better with the pressure? I know Fabregas for sure, but maybe the situation is so negative for us a young player feels less pressure than when the team is top of the league fighting for a victory to be champions. ‘Clearly it’s time - not to play four, five or six kids because some of them are not ready - but I think Ruben is the one who is more ready. If everything goes normally in the next two weeks yes, he is a player to start the next game and have a run of matches to try to get that stability as a first-team choice.’ http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2015/10/final-whistle-verdict-after-southampton.html
  13. Wow how many points will aguero get in EPL fantasy? I have as my captain....not
  14. Some journalist finally asked why Jose keeps picking Ivanovic and not Terry. Jose answered'' you should answer that because you're the twitter man'' - that moment was really funny. After that he said he speaks with Ivanovic about his mistakes and he criticizes him a lot - I thought yes, he realizes that Ivanovic is a problem.. Then he ended the presser with '' I have no doubt he is my best right back'' - Hopefully he was just trolling...

  16. Exclusive - Jose Mourinho is one of the best gaffers in world football, Joe Cole tells talkSPORT “Without a doubt he’s the man, he’s one of the best, if not the best gaffers in world football,” Cole told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast. "It’s a tough time for Chelsea and it’s hard to put your finger on why they haven’t started as well as last year. But they will be there or thereabouts.” Mourinho has left out skipper John Terry for four of the club’s previous five games, raising questions about the defender’s ability to compete at the top level. But Cole insists his former team-mate still has a major role to play at Chelsea. “With John at this stage of his career, he’s been a credit with how he’s conducted himself having been left out,” said Cole. “He wants Chelsea to win before he wants John Terry to play well. That’s the man’s character. He’ll be chomping at the bit and will be training hard. Everyone’s made a lot of him being left out but John’s 34, nearly 35. He could realistically play as long as Giggsy but he might need to drop in and drop out. "He’s going to have a massive influence and will still be the leader in that dressing room. He’ll come back and he was the best defender in the country last season.” Read (listen) more at http://talksport.com/football/exclusive-jose-mourinho-one-best-gaffers-world-football-joe-cole-tells-talksport#c53pjBy2qfkDeqbR.99
  17. Can't watch this match, is De Bruyne the number ten or Silva?
  18. Bench of PSG: sirigu, marquinhos, kurzawa, pastore, lavezzi, lucas, rabiot
  19. Fernandinho, Yaya, Sterling, KDB, Silva, Aguero all start. Interesting to see what they can do together, think this is their "ideal" front 6 for their coach.
