Tbf Everton, Sunderland, Southampton or whatever midtable teams are always interested in players like him. Atletico on the other hand makes sense too if Cerci leave for Milan, need a new winger to warm the bench

The thing about him is that I think we all have to accept he is that winger that is probably gonna get 5 goals max for every season he is here from now on, unless we change our style of play or he undergoes a Ronaldo transformation or something. I hope he can directly contribute more assists though. For some reason I am imagining him as Valencia for MU a few years ago when he was quite good but Willian is not a one trick pony like Valencia was. If we can upgrade him for someone like Reus or Bale I would definitely do it, Schurrle is not that much better either. Still though he is good so it would have to be someone like Bale, Reus, James...etc or otherwise no point selling him and getting another similar winger who had a decent season. A couple of years ago I thought he got the potential to be better than someone like Grizemann but now it is clear who is better.

Tiredness is not an excuse, Southampton played 2 hours later than us today so in theory both should be just as fit as each other. Basically same starting 11 as today, maybe Schurrle instead of Willian or Mikel instead of Oscar.

Schurrle is capable of lots of blockbuster too, probably is for everyone he scores another 20 go over the bars so no one give him the chance. Watch his goals for Bayer a couple of years ago and they are full of long ranges shots.

Think Simeone is leaving at the end of this season to join PSG anyway so he probably couldn't careless, if he was still there for the long term I doubt he would allow Cerci Torres swap just to happen like that.

Tbf he is one of the best around and with 10+ assists no matter what for him this season is a success, just like with Costa just a few mores and reaching 20 goals mean he will be a success even if he goes on a Torres style 20 games without a goal before the end of the season. What it won't do however if promote them to that 'top top top level' that people will go wow he is the best striker/midfielder in the world this year definitely. Think of Falcao 30+ goals a few years ago, Messi and Ronaldo yearly, Suarez last season...etc. They could have stopped at around 20-25 goals but by getting those 30+ numbers they are considered undisputed no1 by the end of that season and not just one of the best... I think he is capable of pushing himself to those levels, not a must but it would be good for him and us,

No you both misunderstood me, I am in no way criticizing his contribution so far, I think it is amazing and even if he doesn't add any more goals or assists by the end of the season he can be seen as a success. What it will do however is continues that myth of him being a bottler and burn out by the 2nd half of the season and I don't want that.

Jose player means tracking back as one of the quality whether you are a striker or a CAM as Mata painfully found out...maybe not the best at it but YOU MUST ATTEMPT TO DO IT REGULARLY no matter how good you are. He forced it on every players he has managed(for the better of it) apart from Ronaldo. It is an essential quality for top class footballers nowadays

New year is coming, lets hope he banishes that 'bottler' tag once and for all. Anything less than another 10 assists by the end of the season would be unacceptable.

Good link up play but not as clinical as Aguero, tbh he should be on like 16 goals by now but happy with him in the team
